Not too sure about these other reviews but I really enjoyed the food. It came out wonderful and was the juiciest white meat I've had. The service was super wonderful everyone was super nice offering if we wanted a bag or help with the door when our hands were full and even offered to switch out sauces for free when we bought them and messed up the flavors. The entire restaurant is very clean and new and was so nice to sit at. I recommend coming in to eat not going through the drive through it's so much more enjoyable. As for the prices, sure it's a little pricey but every place is. I think this chicken is really delicious for what the price is and honestly worth every penny. I stopped by this Peru location to pickup a meal while visiting from Naperville on Monday July 1st around 6:00 pm. I went in to order and there were no other customers in the restaurant. I looked in the warming area and saw french fries that appeared to be sitting there for a while. I know they were sitting there for at least five minutes because I stopped in the restroom to wash up. I asked a young man at the desk to drop me some fresh fries as I did get a double order. I did this very politely and not at all demanding or condescending.He got that bristled look on his face and said these should be OK. A lady who I assume was the manager came around the corner and he said "he wants fresh fries" she said she would and I sat down for minutes. Just seconds later not more than one minute later, they gave me the bag with my food in it and I tried the fries and they were warm at best. Seriously Popeyes could do better, including not lie to me about giving me fresh fries. I think anybody knows that french fries don't last very long under that warming lamp. This location is independently owned, and it did no good at all to contact corporate. So you make the choice maybe someone can be more demanding than I am. I just turned and left after eating. Popeyes owners of this location better open up their eyes. This seems to be an ongoing problem at this location. Maybe the employees that are working following the training that they received from the owners. One way or the other according to the other reviews, this is not new and this location is quickly gaining a poor reputation. read more

If there was negative stars, i would have gave them negative 5 starts terrible chicken tenders. The most horrendous thing i've ever had in my life, couldn't even bite into the tender. I was scared my teeth were going to fall out trying to get a bite. $16 for some terrible chicken. I mean i thought that was what popeyes's was all about?! Also took about 15-20 minutes to get my food. The employees were decent definitely slacking off a lot. Don't get a drink there unless you ask for very little ice, they'll fill the cup fully of ice and you get two sips and it's gone. read more

Mobile/drive through orders are consistently wrong and missing items. Today there was very poor customer service. Heavy set blonde haired female manager is very rude and unprofessional and threatening instead of being professional and admitting and apologizing for the mistake. First we were told we would have to wait as there wasn't enough chicken to fill our mobile order after receiving notification that our order was ready to be picked up. Male manager in drive through acted put out because we would not accept substitutions to the 16 piece all white meal. When order was finally ready and picked up we were assured it was all there but we were missing a 2 piece chicken meal and a large order of coleslaw upon inspection. Upon entering the restaurant to have our missing items corrected we were greeted by a friendly employee who listened to us then went to the back. After several minutes, the heavy set blonde manager came out threw a bag on the counter instead of handing it to us, saying very sternly "here" turned and walked away with no apology no addition of the error nothing. I then confronted her loudly by saying "no apology or anything to make your mistake right?"She turned and said very rudely your missing items are there. I asked to speak to the manager to which she replied she is the manager. Words were then exchanged relating to her not owning their mistake and inconveniencing us. She then threatened to call the police if we didn't leave and shouted to never come back. This behavior is completely unacceptable for a manager. Upon getting home, we discovered that the order was still not correct as the biscuit was missing from the 2 piece meal and the 16 piece meal we had waited for consisted of only 2 breasts the rest being wings. We will not be returning to this location until serious changes have occurred especially with the management staff. read more

Customer service is Horrible, manager is a very HEAVY , mad female!! They made a mistake , admit it yet refuse to refund my money so I could leave!! I asked repeatedly so I could just leave instead she called the police to weaponized them against me! I told her I would gladly wait for them so they will get my money or giv me a report staying I payed but didn't receive anything. Popeyes corporate office is impossible to reach and your only recourse is to get the bank involved as I did! Per there corporate website they ido giv refunds !! But the manager has to start the process which she absolutely refuses to do! Yes the food when u can get or get the order right is good. But they r notoriously understaffed , allegedly underpaid and take very little action against rogue managers. I've been trespassed from the location for their mistake no refund and if I got the food wouldn't eat it would u ? 5 mins turned into 20 so if u hav nothing better to do but to waste time and money this is your place read more

Horrible horrible service and workers who acted like they had food and then made us sit and wait for 15 min for food in the drive thru. $30 for 8 chicken tenders, one small mashed potato, and four biscuits. I wanted a 4 piece meal but it was $16 way to much. They had a 3 piece chicken only for $5 so I took that. The pieces were very small getting maybe 2 bites from the leg, couple scraps from the wing and a couple bites from the thigh. The taste was good and the staff courteous but I would not go back.
