    Mac and cheese
    Jen J.

You can tell this location is working hard to improve. We had terrible service here a couple years ago--so bad we avoided it for over two years. Back then, the staff was disorganized, our order was wrong or missing, and one visit took nearly an hour just to get refunded. But recently, I gave it another shot and noticed a big difference. The staff was friendly, the food was fresh, and they got the order right. Huge improvement. That's why I came back again tonight, and I'm glad I did. My only complaint is the portion size of the sides. The mac and cheese was barely 3.4oz for almost $4 (w/ tax). For something that inexpensive to make, it should at least fill the cup. Small things like that really do matter, especially when other nearby spots are consistently packed while you guys struggle to bring business in. That said, I tried the blackened chicken tenders for the first time and they were delicious. Paired with mashed potatoes and gravy, it made for a satisfying meal under 500 calories. The rest of the family liked their food too, though they said the spicy chicken wasn't very spicy. Overall, I'm giving 4 stars for the clear improvement. Keep it up

    The chicken we've gotten

I went through the drive food and order a simple 2 of the tenders combo. One of the combos had fries. I asked them to have them freshly made, and they said the chicken is pretty much freshly made and that they can do that for the fries I said that works. I took a bite of the fries when I left the parking lot and they were cold and soggy. I let it go because I have things I need to do. The tenders were so tough you couldn't even rip through them. They even forgot our sauces which they charge me and the receipt. Don't wanna come back here ever again. I love Popeyes but never this location again.

Dry, cold and extremely overcooked. More crust than chicken!

You have a 75% chance of getting cold dried out chicken. I stopped going except for lunch time ( in hopes of getting fresh chicken). Now you even get bad food at rush times. I really believe they fry the chicken multiple times just to rewarm it. The pics are from lunch.

It's also conveniently close to home, so it seemed like a win. We went for happy hour on a Friday around 5:45 PM. It's seat-yourself, so we chose a table near the bar. Our waitress (whose name we later learned was Marissa) approached us and immediately asked, "Do y'all know what you want to drink?"--no greeting, no menu, no mention of specials, and no acknowledgment that it might be our first time there. The issue was... we didn't even have menus yet. We told her we weren't ready, and she walked off. After a few minutes of finally getting a look at the menu, we still hadn't been told anything about happy hour. My fiancé ended up going to the bar just to take photos of the beer options. When Marissa returned and asked again about drinks, I explained we had to go to the bar and try to figure out the specials. She simply said "okay" and walked away again. To be honest, the service from her felt rude and uninterested. She seemed rushed and even tapped her fingers on the table at one point while taking our order. Despite us mentioning it was our first time, there was no effort to walk us through the menu or highlight anything. What made it more confusing was that she appeared friendly and engaged with other tables--so I'm not sure what the disconnect was with us. We're always kind and respectful to wait staff, but the lack of basic hospitality made it hard to enjoy the experience. As for the food--unfortunately, it didn't make up for it. The crawfish were bland, and the "dipping sauce" tasted like straight hot sauce. The extras (corn, potatoes, sausage) were minimal--basically one of each, cut in half. The Parmesan wings were also underwhelming, tasting like bland Alfredo sauce with Parmesan on top, though they were at least fried well. There was a shift change, and the other waitresses we interacted with were fine--that's actually how we found out our original server's name. Overall, this was a disappointing first experience. Between the service and the food, it just wasn't worth the time or money. I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

It normally comes with their house sauce, but I added the house‑made ranch since people on Google were raving about it. If you choose any heat level, it defaults to Nashville style breading; Coop's Classic is reserved for kids meals or no‑heat tenders. They asked if I wanted to swap the fries for something else. I asked what counted as an even exchange, and the only option was coleslaw--which the Double Clucker already comes with--so that made no sense whatsoever. I stuck with the fries. Oddly, the meal doesn't include a drink, so I added an Oreo milkshake since that also had good reviews. The staff was very friendly, and the milkshake came out first and fast. They served it to my table in the empty dining room. Flavor was fine, but it didn't come with the cherry shown in the photos and included in the menu description. Worse yet, it was extremely watery--super runny, not cold, and definitely not "Frosty" as advertised. See my videos. Big disappointment. When the food arrived, the tender itself was great--moist and flavorful. The mild heat level barely registered for me, but the ranch dip was better than the house sauce dip. The coleslaw didn't do it for me. It lacked flavor, and the cabbage pieces were cut way too large. Lastly, the fries. Oh boy. Not refrigerator cold, but definitely cool. Not warm, not hot--just... cool. And ack. Overall, I can only recommend the tenders. They do sell them à la carte for $4 and change, and those are the only thing worth getting that I tried. The sides and the milkshake were just a huge letdown.

At least not enjoy spending it. But with prices these days getting way out of hand what can you do. I got the rattlesnake because I saw it touted as their award winning burger. Not sure from where the award came. But this and their trash can tacos had the emblem next to it. You also get a veggie pack with your to-go burger which has chopped lettuce, pickles, raw onions and 2 slices of tomatoes. That's nice so you don't have to put on the required latex gloves to use their veggie bar to get these yourselves. It's in a separate bag. I thought this was the buger at first and was secretly getting a bit concerned when I saw the cook toss it onto the counter like a bean bag. The cashier was super nice. He offered me water as I waited. They had another guy working in the back cooking the food. You also get a thimble of ketchup in your Togo bag along with a packet of mustard and mayo. The bun was a little burnt. And I couldn't taste any of the mixed in jalapeños. Also I kinda wish they had whole lettuce rather than chopped just because it kept falling out of the burger. But other than these issues the burger was pretty tasty. Definitely not a McDonald's burger like one person posted. But also not the best burger ever as many other posters swear by. Definitely glad I went. But don't know if I'd be willing to spend another $20 on one of their Burgers either. They're closed on Sundays according to Google maps which is old school nice to see.
