Because my burger scratched the itch I was looking for. --- --- --- On my son's last day of summer vacation, I took him for a haircut nearby so that he could be fresh for 1st grade, and then chose Tony's for our post-cut lunch spot. If a place has french fries, he's in. And I'd heard that Tony's was one of the best places to grab a burger in the area, so everybody wins here. I had the Juicy Tony and it was a solid burger. It's noted on the menu that is must be served medium rare, no exceptions - that's my preferred temperature anyway, so it was perfect for me. It was indeed juicy and tender. The cajun fries were a nice pairing. We enjoyed our experience overall. Was it a top notch, amazing burger? I wouldn't go that far, but it did its job and I'm happy we came and tried it out. read more

Having eating Wendy's and Burger King down the street this week I wanted another burger for the sake of variety. Enter Uncle Tony's. I'm not really one to spend $20 on a burger. At least not enjoy spending it. But with prices these days getting way out of hand what can you do. I got the rattlesnake because I saw it touted as their award winning burger. Not sure from where the award came. But this and their trash can tacos had the emblem next to it. You also get a veggie pack with your to-go burger which has chopped lettuce, pickles, raw onions and 2 slices of tomatoes. That's nice so you don't have to put on the required latex gloves to use their veggie bar to get these yourselves. It's in a separate bag. I thought this was the buger at first and was secretly getting a bit concerned when I saw the cook toss it onto the counter like a bean bag. The cashier was super nice. He offered me water as I waited. They had another guy working in the back cooking the food. You also get a thimble of ketchup in your Togo bag along with a packet of mustard and mayo. The bun was a little burnt. And I couldn't taste any of the mixed in jalapeños. Also I kinda wish they had whole lettuce rather than chopped just because it kept falling out of the burger. But other than these issues the burger was pretty tasty. Definitely not a McDonald's burger like one person posted. But also not the best burger ever as many other posters swear by. Definitely glad I went. But don't know if I'd be willing to spend another $20 on one of their Burgers either. They're closed on Sundays according to Google maps which is old school nice to see. read more

Shout out to my daughter who brought me a burger and fries for dinner. She said it was a Rattlesnake Burger. I was impressed with the presentation. The hot foods (generous meat patty, molten cheese, toasted bun, hand-cut french fries) were packaged in a take-out box. The cold foods (lettuce, tomatos, pickle, onion) were packaged in a waxpaper sleeve. No deconstruction and reheating needed here, ...just assemble and dig in. It was a very satisfying meal. Everything was well seasoned and flavorful. A scan of Uncle Tony's showed that my meal was the #18 (Angus beef with spicy pan pork sausage, melted muenster cheese). Ok here is my embarrassing moment of the day (hopefully, of the year). Im getting over the flu. The only thing lingering is my cough. It was very difficult to eat. Im stuffed up as well. I only ate about 1/3 of my DELICIOUS food. Seriously, it was really good. I decided, I can't eat any more. So i started walking to my van. The guy walks out and says something. I cant hear. I assume he is asking if Im going to finish my food since I left so much. I just said, sorry I cant eat, I'm not feeling well. He responds with something else. I cant hear what he said. So i went back and said i couldn't hear him. He said, "You still have to pay for it!" . Damn, how embarrassing. Im so used to paying ahead of time. And the few people in the restaurant, yep you guessed it, they're all looking at me like "uh huh, didn't get far did ya!?" We had an amazing meal at Uncle Tony's. The food quality was perfect temperature, flavor and crispness on the fries. My husband had the rattlesnake burger and added jalapeños. He said it was the best burger he'd ever had (which is saying something). I had the Texas Cheesesteak which was wonderful. I wanted to devour it but had to eat it slowly to let it cool off. Uncle Tony's is the epitome of your local juicy burger spot. The restaurant is in a busy shopping center. The restaurant is clean, and even has its own condiment bar so you can dress your burgers and sandwiches however you would like. One place I always check to see is clean is the restrooms. And at Uncle Tony's the restrooms are unisex and clean. It lets me know the attention to detail is there, and the kitchen must be clean also. We had friendly service provided by uncle Tony himself. He took our drink and lunch order and checked in on us several times. Our table ordered the 1/4 lb burger with cheese, mushroom and Swiss burger, and kids chicken tender basket. Every bite was juicy and delicious. The fries and onion strings were crispy, not greasy, and very tasty too. We topped off our meal with the dessert funnel cake fries. They are a must try and share. I finally saw Tony's open today (on my way to another burger place) and turned around to check it out. Very nice, clean and friendly. I ordered a 1/4 lb cheesburger / well done / loaded and just had tap water. She pointed to all the fixens and offered me options instead of the Fries - so I took the side salad. The $13.50 burger came out - it did not look like a 1/4 lb - but I put all the fixens on, sat down and cut it in half - looking at a lot of red meat - maybe cooked medium. I mentioned this to her and waited awhile - she was runing around - so I ate the food around the edges where it was cooked through - she never came back - so I left - for good - and never going back. I tipped when I paid up front - so my bill was $17.47. Going back to the other burger place, bigger, better burgers with all the fixens - with a drink and a ton of fries for about $12.00 out the door. read more

Overall, Uncle Tony's was a great meal. It was quiet, and I was a little scared to venture in as there was nobody there and they had many positive reviews. It was an inexpensive man show that night, he greeted us, sat us down, gave us our drinks, took our orders and then went to cook them. Through conversation, he shared he was the original cook here many moons ago. My daughter shared that she had been to some of their food trucks, but was not impressed with them. Here though, everything was great. The burgers were perfectly cooked, real potato fries, and the loaded fries were tasty!! It was a positive experience. The place is not fancy, the food is great, service was very good! I could not get a picture of my daughter's burger because she started eating it before I had a chance, but it was a perfect medium rare for her!! Extremely casual restaurant with a welcoming vibe. Tyler helped me all night and was eager to answer all questions. After debating between the all beef burger and the rattlesnake burger (beef + pork + jalapeños), I opted for the rattlesnake. Basically, because the giant trophy on the bar was won because of that burger. I liked all of the side options: seasoned fries, tots, salads, etc. I went with the tots and they were great! No amazing extra spices or anything, but they were fried perfectly. The burger is kind of tough to judge because it has to be cooked well done due to the addition of the pork. The cook was on point, the burger was juicy, and the char was there. All good stuff! I hesitate to give a 5 because most of their beer was gone (kegs tapped or the beer in the fridge wasn't cold). Stopped in to the Porter TX. opening of Uncle Tony's on Monday 6/3. Brought my wife and parents. 3 of the 4 of us ordered the Texas Cheesesteak. Wife ordered a Cheeseburger. The Texas Cheesesteaks were absolutely incredible. The bun was fried..(Didn't even know that was a thing) Outside was slightly crispy and the inside of the bun was slightly chewy. The addition of grilled Jalapenos was PERFECT. Best cheesesteak i've ever had. (Including in Philly). We also ordered a side of Onion Rings. Huge portion!!! It was perfect! Batter to onion ratio was spot on.. Slightly salty.. Incredible. The lady at the table next to us ordered the Chips and Guacamole. They also looked fantastic. Will order that next time. Fantastic burgers are here! Five of us went for dinner and walked in really hungry. Didn't leave that way!! We started with fried pickles- not everyone's cup of tea but interesting. The younger folks liked them more than I did but each to his or her own. On the other hand, the thin cut onion rings are out of this world! I devoured a zillion calories worth of them along with my fries and chela burger which comes on a sweet sourdough bun. Sounds like an oxymoron but tastes delish!! There were a bacon cheeseburger, chela cheeseburger and a sunrise burger with an egg on too. We all enjoyed our meals so much. The burgers are tasty and large and satisfying. This was my first time eating here. My daughter treated me for lunch. We ordered an Oreo shake, and the mushroom Swiss burger with sweet potato fries. We shared the fried mushroom appetizer. Talk about the best burger I have had in a long time. It was a big juicy burger, you definitely had to hold it with two hands. lol. This is a gem in a little shopping strip in Spring. The burgers are made fresh when you order so expect a little bit of a wait time. You can order at the counter and have a seat or you can have a seat and they'll come take the order from you. They will also get your drinks and refill your drinks for you, or you can go refill your own drinks at the front. I tend to base my love, burger places, partly on their fries and these fries are some of the best I've had in a while. There are those fries that are like fresh cut, potatoes, and they go so well in their ranch dressing. I've had a few of their burgers, and they've all been good. They have an especially great spicy sauce that I like to pour on there. It's a habanero sauce and it does have spice, but not enough to take away from the flavor of the burger as well. It's a good drive for us, but it's worth the drive in my opinion. It's been hard for me to find a burger place that I'm like oh my goodness I need to go back, but this place has me wanting to come back. Had a good meal here. Hubs had the hamburger, said it was good. I had the chicken tacos...delicious. The food was served piping hot which is not common. For dessert we shared the brownie and ice cream...100% worth the calories. The brownie was as good (if not better) than any I've made at home. I tried the infamous rattlesnake burger with sweet sourdough buns. The breading was soft, but oily. The burger patty had a very interesting taste being angus beef mixed with spicy pork sausage. I wouldn't say it was seasoned to perfection, though. You definitely have to like spicy meat to appreciate the burger more. I didn't think it's worth paying between $12-$20 dollars for a single mediocre burger with a small side of fresh cut fries. The funnel cake fries were a joke here.
