Stopped by Uncle Tony's because of the high ratings and it did not disappoint! The burger was fresh and flavorful, the fries were crispy, and they even hooked me up with condiments and fresh lettuce on the side. Definitely worth the hype--I'll be back!

#31. Crispy Chicken Sandwich with fries cut fries

I had a crispy chicken sandwich with cheese and grilled onions and it was SO GOOD! I just moved to the area and this place will be a regular go to! The staff was also so sweet and accommodating!

Small size burger for what you pay.

I finally saw Tony's open today (on my way to another burger place) and turned around to check it out. Very nice, clean and friendly. I ordered a 1/4 lb cheesburger / well done / loaded and just had tap water. She pointed to all the fixens and offered me options instead of the Fries - so I took the side salad. The $13.50 burger came out - it did not look like a 1/4 lb - but I put all the fixens on, sat down and cut it in half - looking at a lot of red meat - maybe cooked medium. I mentioned this to her and waited awhile - she was runing around - so I ate the food around the edges where it was cooked through - she never came back - so I left - for good - and never going back. I tipped when I paid up front - so my bill was $17.47. Going back to the other burger place, bigger, better burgers with all the fixens - with a drink and a ton of fries for about $12.00 out the door.

This their award winning signature burger. Well cooked, but still tender.

Overall, Uncle Tony's was a great meal. It was quiet, and I was a little scared to venture in as there was nobody there and they had many positive reviews. It was an inexpensive man show that night, he greeted us, sat us down, gave us our drinks, took our orders and then went to cook them. Through conversation, he shared he was the original cook here many moons ago. My daughter shared that she had been to some of their food trucks, but was not impressed with them. Here though, everything was great. The burgers were perfectly cooked, real potato fries, and the loaded fries were tasty!! It was a positive experience. The place is not fancy, the food is great, service was very good! I could not get a picture of my daughter's burger because she started eating it before I had a chance, but it was a perfect medium rare for her!! I would go again when I have a hankering for a burger. My daughter said she preferred this place over the food truck version.

Extremely casual restaurant with a welcoming vibe. Tyler helped me all night and was eager to answer all questions. After debating between the all beef burger and the rattlesnake burger (beef + pork + jalapeños), I opted for the rattlesnake. Basically, because the giant trophy on the bar was won because of that burger. I liked all of the side options: seasoned fries, tots, salads, etc. I went with the tots and they were great! No amazing extra spices or anything, but they were fried perfectly. The burger is kind of tough to judge because it has to be cooked well done due to the addition of the pork. The cook was on point, the burger was juicy, and the char was there. All good stuff! I hesitate to give a 5 because most of their beer was gone (kegs tapped or the beer in the fridge wasn't cold). Also, I didn't try the angus beef burger. Will do that soon and update this review. Apologies for the out of focus picture.

I drove by today on the way to an event, I've been craving a burger and been on the hunt for the last year for bomb burgers. I saw the sign and saved it in my mental notes. After the event hubby wanted a burger too. And I'm like I saw this place near by let's go check it out. Had zero expectations because we had no idea what we were walking into. We were greeted with a warm welcome, and hospitality oozing from this sweet man, our server and chef. We order fried pickles, so fresh and made to order I was ready to burn my mouth and not wait for them to cool down. Our order came and wow y'all, stop looking around and come here for fresh and mouth watering burgers, with a whole bar of fresh veggies to add onto your burger. it's worth the drive, I'll drive from Willis anyway to come back. They have milkshakes, a full bar, beer, and frozen Margarita Machine too.

I like the feel of this place, relaxing, great music and terrific service. I opted for the Texas Philly Cheesesteak and it was exactly what I thought it would be. Not to spicy as to take away from the flavor of the sandwich. Bread was good with just the right amount of crispy crust. Hand cut fries are a perfect touch to the sandwich.

I'm not happy they are closing the Sawdust location as the food was great! Guess I'll have to go to Porter.

Best burger I've had in a long time, and the onion rings are addictive. Everything freshly made nothing frozen. I definitely recommend!

We ordered Fried shrimp, with creamed spinach and onion rings. The flavor of the food was good, well-seasoned, and it was new to me to have leaf spinach served in a cheese sauce and I decided I like it! If you like your food spicy, then order the Shrimo Cocktail. It was a little spicy for me, but the flavors were good. We ordered a stuffed baked potato with butter, sour cream and chives. The potatoes skin tasted great, not sure how it was seasoned, but we liked it and the prosaic boring stuffed baked potato was really delicious when I poured the remainder of my spinach's cheese sauce over it. Desserts are homemade, and today's offerings were crème brûlée and Key lime pie. They weren't bad. The owner was welcoming and I liked our nice chat, particularly as they were short-staffed as somebody had not turned up for work. Overall, we had no real expectations going in and thought the food tasted much better than we had anticipated. Try it.

So I hear Wednesday is their big day. It's Prime Rib day. I called a day ahead to see what hours…read moreit's served. The owner who answered the phone told me that actually the employees of one of the companies in the area reserved like the whole cow. I think he said 64 lbs or something like that. Savages. But he did say they could save a piece for us if I told him when I wanted to come in. I asked him for a good time to come. He said usually they're done cooking it by 12:30 pm and then it needs time to cool down. So he suggested mid-afternoon like around 2 pm. Ok. Well what the heck. A late lunch it is then. I've always been a whore for a good cut of meat. When we got there I told the host/waiter that we had a reservation and he just replied ok and didn't bother asking our name or checking us off a list or anything. Understandable I suppose since the place was empty. When we got the menus my first observation was that a number of the prices were higher by several dollars than as listed on their website, including the prime rib. The waiter replied it's just a few bucks, and then noted it's actually been like that for a few months. When I talked to the owner later he said they're waiting for the lady who handles their website to make the update. I've posted pics of their current in store menu so you can know the current prices. I think the waiter was new. Because he didn't ask how we wanted our prime rib cooked (I had to ask him later if we have a choice). Also when I asked for more horseradish (it doesn't come with the prime rib automatically) he took my plastic thimble looking cup and just refilled it, which seemed a bit unsanitary and odd. Also I had to ask for ketchup for the onion rings. When I was signing the bill he just hovered and immediately took it. It just felt weird. I dunno. Maybe his shift was ending or something. I know this sounds weird to comment on but the water tasted off. It's the first time I've ever said that. But it just tasted weird. I couldn't put my finger on it. Maybe like it already had some lemon in it? Yet there was a lemon slice on the rim of the glass. So I'm not sure. Anyway onto the prime rib. I thought it was ok. My kid absolutely loves prime rib and that's the real reason we came. But she just didn't like it here. However it is one of their most popular dishes and the way they sell out obviously folks in the area are ga ga for it. So definitely come give it a try for yourself. It comes 2 sides but not a baked potato which is $5 extra. I love baked potatoes but the extra cost made me not want to get it. The waiter said the mashed potatoes do not come with gravy but actually the sauce that comes with the prime rib is pretty thick and could easily be used for this. I thought the cream spinach was good as well as the fries and onion rings. Note the QR codes on the bill didn't work to pay. I'm not sure why. I think the waiter said something was wrong with their computers. When we asked for a to go box the lid on my gravy container didn't securely close. The waiter said that actually all of the containers have that problem. Yikes. Well just be careful you don't spill it in your car. I guess the waiter told the owner my kid didn't like the prime rib and when we were boxing it up the owner came to our table and was apologetic and super nice about it and offered to comp her plate. Now that's old school class. I've been to some of these newer places where they couldn't give a crap. But the owner here actually cares that people have a good time. So kudos to him. Their menu is extensive. And they have something for everyone. They also have a kids menu with reasonable prices. The monte cristo and pork knuckle were catching my eye. Maybe another day.

You don't need brunch, you don't need offered from other cuisines, if you're going to try one item here let it be the pita. We tried the chicken pita, and while the mushrooms were a surprise, the pita itself really hit the spot as far as savory dishes go. That and the complimentary fro-yo, that's all you need!

Actually, they have a good size menu and have some American options along with juices and smoothies so It made ordering easy. They also have a full bar with several cocktails and mocktails. Inside right when you enter is the actual bar with about 6 seats which were full with customers during my entire visit. Their happy hour ends at 6pm, but I arrived at 7pm so I ended up missing the discounted drinks. I ordered the cod and shrimp pita which ended up being slightly different than the regular gyro. I had to set it down after a couple of bites since the wheat pita bread is much thinner than regular pita bread and it kept falling apart on me. I also added a mango mojito. With a name like Island Grill, I sort of expected to see more tropical drinks or rum-based cocktails show up on the menu, but this was about the only one. Overall, my experience was okay, but I don't know if it was good enough for me to return.
