Very disappointing experience. NONE of the staff had any personality or customer service knowledge. Three employees were assembling orders behind the counter and it took them several minutes to acknowledge our presence - then it was several more minutes before someone finally took our order. It's hit or miss at this location. They should strive for consistency. I requested the spicy chicken and it was hardly that. It seemed to have some , but I wonder if their recipe has changed. The pieces of chicken were extremely small as well. Service was quick. While I sat and ate, the two customers after me both had to go back as their orders were messed up. It wasn't busy. I asked if they could put their ghost pepper seasoning on my spicy chicken. They said no. That the ghost pepper seasoning and dry rub were only for the tenders, wings and nuggets (called boneless wings??? Right). Then she said she wished they could use the ghost people dry rub for their spicy chicken (after I made this suggestion). She said other people are asking for it.. Hey District manager. How do you think new menu items are started? If you're getting the requests. Start making it pay off your regular menu. It will improve sales. One of the worse Popeyes. They NEVER get my order right. My husband and I went in to order a 12pc family meal with (2) side, mashed potatoes and fries. And an order of 12 chicken wings. We put in our order and the guy, the manager who took our order informed us that it would be a 5 min wait because they have to drop the wings--to which we said was fine and took a seat in the dining room. While sitting there we noticed all the chicken wing promotions regarding order a chicken wing basket and get a free lemonade. I went up to the counter and asked the manager if that applied to our order and he said, "oh yeah--what would you like?" Clearly forgetting the promotion. No apologies, just handed me and drink and moved on with his day. We waited for our order patiently and we're just thankful we were getting fresh chicken. I saw the same gentleman check our bag and bring it out to us. We checked the bag to make sure all our items were there but stupidly didn't open each box. Typically they use the same box for fries and biscuits. We had 3 little boxes in our order to which we assumed was biscuits wings, and fries. So we left. Everything appeared to be in order. We head home, driving West on HWY 46. We get home and unload all the items. I get my daughter's plate ready and realize there's no fries which is the only side she eats from Popeyes. My husband calls them and lets them know they forgot our fries--again no apologies just a "do you want to come and pick them up?" Anyone that lives in this area knows that with construction HWY 46 is a nightmare. So we drive back to Popeyes which is 20 min trip with traffic (one-way). We go inside--just the bag of fries. What shouldve happened was, refunding us our whole meal as well providing us with our order of missing fries. As a manager, I know I can't pay for your gas or compensate for your time but I know that now you're not eating your order because youre driving back to my store to pick up what WE didn't add to your bag. Refunding a 12px family meal wasn't going to be a loss. If you don't want to compensate people stop making mistakes. This was the 3rd time this has happened with this same popeyes. IDK why I keep going back. I've been a supervisor in Popeyes before, I know the struggles but customer service is one of the easiest parts of the job. ‍ read more

Make sure to ask if they are going to make your food before you pay. After paying for fried chicken I was told it would be a 20 - 30 minute wait. They tried to change my order to chicken tenders 3 times. Seemed very lazy to me to take my money then try to talk me out of my order because they'd have to cook more chicken. What a terrible store. One star is being gracious. I always come here for two things. To test me patience and count the health code violations. The last time I watched a "manager" shake her dreads so hard I could hear them in the lobby. Will you get chicken? That's the million dollar question. And lord don't use the app that will just confuse everyone and then the manager with the dreads will chastise you for not telling them first. I can see why this establishment has such a low rating. If a zero was possible I would have given a zero. DO NOT GO TO THIS POPEYES. Fire the manager that was working at 12:00pm on Saturday August 16, 2025. My daughter and her boyfriend went to drive thru and the depressed employee took their order and misunderstood what was being asked for. Now this is not the problem. When the food was received it was incorrect. My daughter and boyfriend tried to resolve the issue politely by going inside but the manager did not want to fix it by any means. My daughter has never ordered bone in chicken ever and only eats strips. At one point she gave them the hand like they were not important as a customer. I called hoping to resolve the issue but she continuously called me Honey even after I told her not to. If this manager does not believe in great customer service then she needs to quit or be fired. I can't begin to express how rude the lady in the drive-through was. Already placing my order she was rushing me and had an attitude and then I get to the front asking to change my meal politely and she was so rude about it and wouldn't change it. One of the worst fast food dining experiences I have ever had in a very long time. I used the mobile app to order so my food would be ready when I arrived. I ordered it 10 minutes before arriving and I ordered it for pick up via the drive-through. When I got there, I joined the line and there was one car at the menu and another car at the window. I was quickly greeted and asked if I would like to try the special to which I said no thank you because I had a mobile order. I gave the lady my name as requested and I was directed to pull forward. At this point it took an additional 10 minutes for the two cars in front of me to be serviced, given their food, and move on before it was my turn. I pulled up to the window now 20 minutes after I ordered my food and 10 minutes after arriving with only two cars in front of me. I was met with a very less than cheerful person who handed me my drink, and then told me to pull forward because my food wasn't cooked yet. I pulled forward and since there were no cars behind me, I waited. And I waited for another 10 minutes until a line of cars formed at the window behind me. And then the car behind me finally got its food so I pulled around to the main door. As soon as I pulled into the parking space, another person came out, and without saying a word handed me a bag of food turned around and walked away. It was missing the sauces that I paid extra for so I went inside to get those. And I had to wait another five minutes to get my order filled correctly. Popeyes is fast food and you get what you pay for. I like Popeyes food and I understand it's not on the Michelin scale but it's OK. Word of caution if you expect nothing then nothing is what you will get and you will be happily pleased when you expectations are fulfilled with nothing if you choose to order food from this place. However, if your expectations are such that when ordering food it will be delivered on time and correctly and maybe with a pleasant attitude, then I give you a strong caution to avoid this place at all costs, because you will be disappointed. read more

Oh my gosh do not go here. Service is horrible. My boyfriend asked nicely to fix our order and they said they couldn't fix it because two strips is not a combo. ( I was unaware with this and would've been okay to pay more if it wasn't the combo). This next time I went in with my boyfriend and they completely made eye contact and ignored us. I must be getting old; swear I've already reviewed this location. Well..cliff notes perhaps? Old GF and I spent a day hitting the backroads of the Hill Country. Ended up down on the 281 corridor for lunch. Entered Popeye's. Ordered way too much fried sh*t. Best story follows. Some of it was past it's prime sitting in the food desk drawer contraption complete with digital labels. I politely asked for a few remakes and the result was a great fast food meal. Manager on duty for the first visit was completely understanding and provided great service. Next trip, not so much. Covid-19 review...where you'd think they would shine having only a drive thru to please. No pesky counter diners! I'm surrounded by car club members picking the drive thru options they wanted. Group of 10 cars! One buddy forgot his wallet back in Austin; ordered with me in the drive thru parking in the adjacent Whataburger parking lot. After his order of a #2 white meat with mashed potatoes I selected the current special shrimp tackle box and made sure the order taker knew I was ordering the $7 option. That's with a drink online peeps. Asked for two tartar sauces along with my cajun rice side. Next, One chicken sammich, onion rings, and a drink. I battled to explain to the cashier that I asked for a drink. She obviously had a great night before with multiple hickeys on her neck. Party on girl!?!? Our group of cars exited the area and found a place where trash could be discarded and bathrooms could be easily accessed. We ended up in the McDonalds parking lot adjacent to the HEB as the lot was full. Not one condiment was provided. Who wants to eat fried shrimp with no sauce? I called the restaurant; they basically answered the phone...heard my complaint...sat the phone on the counter for several minutes leading me to eventually hang up. Beginning off with the order through the drive through, was met with a unwelcoming depressing tone, not saying you have to be some happy holly, but it helps if the worker doesn't have this negative mood to start off. After ordering a ghost pepper chicken sandwich, and a two piece TENDER combo, they gave the okay and me and my girlfriend got our food. Keep the tender part in mind, my girlfriend got this blackened bone in chicken, after bringing it in asking for a two piece TENDER, they gave us this bone in chicken. Now they do have a three piece and five piece tender combo, but I after I said two piece tender, they disregarded me and didn't correct me saying they don't have a two piece tender combo. So I wanted a refund for it and actually get what I wanted, but they refused to communicate with me other options I could do. I wanted to pay the difference in the two orders, but they still refused to actually help me. Should have actually looked at the reviews before coming to this Popeyes! The reviews are 100% accurate. Went in one night and there was only one other family. Their soda machine isn't working in the lobby, so they brought us our drinks. Waited and waited; meanwhile 3 employees were just sitting in the lobby talking. Went over after 30 mins and asked how much longer. They all jumped up and we're like "oh crap, I thought you had your meal!". They finally got us our food. That was nothing though. After we got our food, I watched a worker who was filling some type of containers (maybe Mac n cheese) LICK HIS FINGERS, without gloves, put the lid on and put them in the warmer! Then saw him again rub his nose with ungloved hands. We were so disgusted we left. They had given us 3 desserts to "make up" for our food issue. We didn't eat them so we took them home. And We noticed once we got home one of the prepackaged desserts had a huge hair in them. We never opened it or touched it, so it could not have been ours. Out of items too often and their Management never offers anything to compensate. Properly ran companies try to make up for lack of items after placing and paying for the items not this store. Husband asked if it was really going to be 20 minutes after paying and handed his tea. Girl said no - 5 minutes & to pull over. 20 minutes later they bring him the bag of strips. 2. Multiple prior occasions ordered and paid for all white meat and didn't get it. Bad on us for not stopping to check before bringing it home. BUT------Why should we have to check??? 3. This experience was about one week ago now. 6:00 pm and we were the only customers in the door for at least fifteen minutes. I ordered the three piece combo chicken strip dinner and my husband ordered the two piece all dark meat combo. The person who took our order let us know that they had to cook the strips and that it would take five minutes. We were okay with that. Then I went to find us a table and it was frigid in the dining room so I told them to make our order to go and we would eat in our car. Ten minutes later our order was ready. Although the strips were hot, the red beans and rice and biscuits, including my husband's chicken, were barely warm. I am done with this Popeyes. Plus. Why I try this place every six months or so is beyond me. I'm not sure what the problem is but it has to start and end with management and possibly corporate incompetence. The chicken is usually fine. But that's about it it. I've never seen it clean, energetic or professionally staffed. Today it too two managers to place an order for 2 pieces of chicken. The clerk was new, first day on the job. She gets a complete pass because she was really trying but it was over 5 minutes of trial and error to get two pieces of chicken and nothing more. And two different supervisor types to get it to ring up. Evidently the corporate system forces you into a "snack pack" which includes a biscuit I didn't want and it is particle science to get a breast and leg. Ok fine a leg and thigh just to make the computer happy. Oops we are out of legs. Whatever. The self serve drink machine is kaput. The kitchen and tables are not very clean... but hey, the chicken was hot and what I expected but it's an ordeal each time I've come. I was super nice to everyone but I hope the owner is looking. I get an urge for fried chicken about twice a year and chicken express isn't good. So this is all I have. While eating I dropped something between wall and bench seat. Had to move the seat away from wall and it was completely filthy. Tons of food particles and unknown substances. Whoever is cleaning the place isn't doing a complete job. Been here a few times and each time we have gotten terrible food. Old, small, dry pieces of chicken, old fries just thrown in the bag with grease soaking through. This is not good service. On top of it all, two of the employees handling food are not wearing masks. Never going back here. They do not care about providing good customer service. The management obviously doesn't care because they never answer the phone, they let the phone ring 45 times and just refuse to answer.
