Today is Sunday, March 8, 2026 around 12:39pm Just landed in San Antonio and decided to order Wingstop for pickup since I had no groceries at home. Unfortunately the customer service on the phone was incredibly rude. I asked for fries and queso (I don't know the menu but seriously, maybe correct me and say, "we don't have queso but we have a cheese dip") the employee seemed confused, put out and responded with attitude. When I politely asked for her name, her response was simply, "Why?" Then proceeded to say Chloe. I seriously thought she was joking...she wasn't. Customer service matters. In that time, I've had meals you expect from here, some lower-quality-than-expected meals, and very few "knock your socks off" meals. Tonight though... tonight I had a solid meal. 5/15/2026, around 7:30 PM, I placed a mobile order for the 30 for $30 classic deal, extra cook time. 10 Mango Habanero, 10 BBQ, 10 Lemon Pepper. I generally avoid the dry rubs because they never coat the wings as well as I'd like. But the crew working tonight had it down PAT. The best lemon pepper wings I've ever had from any WingStop ever. The food will always be consistent and reliable, it's hard to find a truly bad WingStop. Served us raw chicken. We literally ordered at 7:13pm and the order wasn't ready until 8:34pm. We sat in the restaurant for an entire hour waiting all for the chicken to be raw. We called and spoke to a manager and he legit told us to "take it to corporate" and "this restaurant has gone through staffing issues. So Wingstop is always good in my opinion, great flavors and the fries are delicious. This location is clean and quick with their process. The one complaint I have is if I'm ordering over fifty dollars worth of food it seems crazy to hear, "unfortunately we have to charge for extra blue cheese", after asking for another dressing! Honestly I probably won't return to this location, unless they start giving an adequate amount of sauce per order or cancel their policy to charge extra for dressing. We brought it to the managers attention and she told us our order would come out soon. 15 minutes later and another six to go orders still no food. I finally got fed up and asked for a refund. Even after we got our food the number of angry customers was growing due to the wait and wingstop being swamped. I rarely review chain restaurants but I just have to put it out there that the manager here impressed me. Due to staffing shortage, I'm assuming that is why he wasn't answering the phone for to go orders. So I decided to go in person to pick up for my spouse as he was engrossed in watching football games. When I walked in, I saw that the manager was a one man show at the time and he was BUSTING his butt!! He warned me in advance that my order would take an hour due to being so backed up with walk in to go orders. I pressed forward cause I had the time to spare. My order was actually ready sooner than expected, handed to me with a smile (although he was exhausted) and best of all, the food was perfect. Everything was cooked to perfection. The fries were deliciously addictive, piping hot, and the wings were beautifully crisp, juicy and tender. Will return again!! (P S.
