My friend and I went there on Saturday. The service there was outstanding. The wait staff person, Mattie was a very pleasant person. Very knowledgeable of the menus and what was available. She was very attentive to our table while we were there. Always checking on us if we needed something. I watched her as she made her round and she gave the same service to every table that I watched her at. The food was brought out in a very timely manner and was it still hot and very good. We both had the crawfish poor boys. They were perfectly made. The ambience there was very friendly and sort of noisy. However, this is the kind of restaurant that it is. There's people from all over, talking about this that the other, so you overhear each other's conversations. Again, the food was outstanding and very good. Come here a lot always before had good experiences. Ordered the Large catfish and shrimp which has always been plenty. Yesterday had really slow service had to go to get help. My catfish was so small always get 3 pretty large pieces that I can take home leftovers which is why I ordered the large. Got three 5 inch maybe I inch wide. Also had the gross grey bloodline which is not usually the case. Just a different experience from the usual . Had to put two pieces of the catfish to make one really small piece just not what we are used to. read more

Delightful casual family friendly cafe. Attentive staff you order as you enter and then pick a table. indoor and outdoor seating. Play yard for the kids. Plenty of parking. Hubby ordered the BBLT - yes that much terrific bacon! I ordered Chicken Fried Steak with gravy on the side. it was decent but not memorable. Vegetables were perfect, not overcooked. Daughter loved her chicken sandwich and granddaughter gobbled up her fries and chicken nuggets. We had fountain drinks, lemonade and tea. I was passing through on the way home and recalled seeing this restaurant featured on Good Eats with Tanji. I was craving homestyle food and opted for the chicken tender basket. This was not your typical basket but rather homemade chicken tenders in a delicious breading. It was fresh, juicy, filled with flavor and plentiful. The ultra skinny shoestring fries were also good - well seasoned and perfect crisp. I topped it off with a butterfinger shake! It was delicious and the right balance of butterfinger chunks within. Visited the branch for Father's Day with family and it was incredible. The staff/management is always so incredibly friendly! Daniel, one of the managers always greets us with such great hospitality and kindness. The staff always takes care of us and very attentive. Well popular is an understatement, this place is always packed, but they do a good job of moving everyone through the ordering line and getting tables set up. So the crowd moves quickly. The staff is super nice. Our food was tasty and timely, especially for a busy Saturday night. There is also a playground out back. So if you have kiddos, it is great for them to play while you wait. The Branch is a Bulverde Food hotspot that is always busy. They pump food out of the kitchen quickly and it is cafeteria style ordering. Karen was our server and was a new server who did a great job. Food did not come out all at once and we did have to inquire about a dinner salad and a loaded potato but Karen immediately went to the kitchen and brought items out. Branch has more of a bar feel than restaurant and am sure it is the place to stop after high school athletics but beware kitchen closes during the week at 8:30 which surprised me. We would have gotten a few deserts as the apple crisp looked off the chain but would have had to order when we still hadn't gotten meals. This is a restaurant with a large menu and very similar (same owners?) as Willies in San Antonio. We had chopped salads with chicken (excellent), the fried catfish, mac and cheese and enjoyed all of it. They take your order at front just like Willies. Prices were fair and reasonable. Previously, I didn't have a good experience, but I gave it a try after about 6 months. It was much improved. Great service and dishes looked way healthier and fresh. My daughter invited me to lunch with her and her husband at the Branch. I have never been here before and they know I like trying new restaurants. My daughter and I ordered the small fried catfish plate. The catfish was lightly breaded and inside that fried goodness was flakey white meat, served on a generous portion of thinly cut French fries. The fried catfish and fries were delicious. My son in law had the chicken fried chicken and said it was very tasty although he felt the breading on the chicken was a little thin. Our server was great, she checked on us regularly to make sure there was nothing we needed. As far as the ambiance well, if you like Willies Ice House you'll love this place. The Branch is much larger on the inside than it appears on the outside. I would definitely come back here again. read more

This place is poppin!! If you've been to fuddruckers or beefy's backyard it has that same kind of vibe, very family friendly they have a playground set in the back outside. I split the full rack of ribs and it was the perfect amount, let me tell you these ribs were so delicious but they were literally falling off the bone. I'd go back here again just for the ribs. When you enter you order at the counter and then the food is brought to your table, tables are open seating so sit wherever you want. I didn't know this because if you get a soft drink when you order your food they let you fill it up yourself, but when you sit down at the table you need to let the servers fill the drinks up for you lol. We had lunch here this week . The service was horrendous. The chicken we had was dried out over cooked and not up to their usual standard. They are using a different chicken breast. Smaller , thinner and much less flavor . They up charged us for subbing in a side salad for fries. More like 3.5 for me. First time to try this place. Parking in front is limited. You have to park in back amongst other businesses shared parking area. You walk up to counter and place your order and then a server will seat you. Staff were friendly. I ordered the Mahi Mahi but it was overdone and did not taste fresh. The sauce was good. My wife had chicken fried steak and said it was good and a friend that was with us had the salmon and said it was good. Only saw a server one time to refill our drinks the time we were there. We headed to @thebranchsbtx for dinner tonight. It's a popular spot with many people there for dinner too. Dad had Lemonade, Hubby had a Frozen Margarita, and I had the Margarita called White Lightning. We tried the Coconut Shrimp with shoestring fries and it's fabulous. Loved the marmalade sauce! We go here pretty often because we don't have a lot of decent restaurant choices in Bulverde/Spring Branch. The food is good and the margaritas are too. My kid loves the strawberry milkshakes. I usually get the blackened salmon and it's always very good. But the steaks, catfish, shrimp, and burgers are also good. Fun to sit out on the back patio and let the kids play. Although, our daughter is nearly 13 now so we don't utilize the playground anymore. But still fun to sit out there and remember the days when she still thought we were cool. read more

The food might not be 5-star but the service certainly was! We stopped by to pick up food. Tome was very helpful as was a couple of Branch Neighborhood Grill regulars. We ordered and were offered complimentary soft drinks because we were waiting. Our order (10oz Sirloin, Blackened Chicken Sandwich and Deep-fried shrimp were prepped in 10 minutes!!! It had indoor seating as well as an outdoor patio with a playground for the kids. We ordered the catfish/shrimp plate and the 1/2 pound of shrimp. Came in with a group of three people. The Branch is a cute neighborhood spot with a chill vibe. Upon entering there's a small queue that leads to the cash registers with the menu above on the back wall. Orders are taken there and you seat yourself and before too long a server will come around and double check your order to ensure it's all correct. We like and have ordered the chopped salad with balsamic vinaigrette a couple of times and the chicken tenders are juicy and flavorful, so yummy. Service is usually pretty good, we try to avoid the more popular times, lol! If you haven't been here you need to go! Great family fun and food. This restaurant seems to be identical to Willie's Icehouse just so you can have an idea what type of restaurant it is. It has so much seating and an outdoor patio with a playground (fenced in) for the kids. I gave them a four star rating because this is just my first visit. However, I would give them 5 Stars for their Grilled Salmon. I think it was the best salmon I ever had! So WW friendly because of the salmon and also the veggies which I also loved.
