You know those times when you are trying to catch up with work stuff and you think about food, but don't really want anything heavy because it's going to make you worthless after eating? I got one of those times. I thought a chicken sandwich -- but from which place? I love the KFC sandwiches but had never tried Popeyes. What could I add as a side to give it a little oomph? Popeyes it was. I loved how the sandwich was alive with flavor, and my choice of mashed potatoes and gravy was perfect. I was slurpin' while workin' -- LOL. Too bad this location does not have the dirty rice, which I miss terribly. What is going on with dirty rice? Where the heck are you? Most places don't carry it, and only a few locations still have it. Bring it back! And for what it's worth, I'm not alone on the dirty rice thing. It seems like Popeyes has been quietly phasing it out at a lot of locations, which is a shame because it was genuinely one of the better fast food sides out there. Deserves 0 stars. Honestly. Truly. Not exaggerating one bit. I came in pretty late to my hotel after a day of flying 10 hours. Popeyes was the only thing available on UberEats and Popeyes had a promotion. Spend $15 or more and get a free 6 piece wing - I chose the ghost pepper flavor. Ok cool. So I order a combo of a 3 piece chicken with Cajun fries a biscuit and a sweet tea. My photo below will reflect exactly that. INSTEAD I receive 2 separate boxes of dry chicken. NO FRIES. NO biscuit. They gave me a nasty side of mash potatoes and gravy instead (SO NASTY by the way!) NONE of the sauces I ordered, AND my drink was wrong. They gave me a Diet Coke instead. Let me just say this... after a long day and waiting 50 minutes for my food to be delivered, for it to be completely wrong - this is the kind of crap that will make me cancel eating at an establishment all together. Workers are rude and constantly messing around in the back with no regard to customers being around... Everything is filthy. Just peer into the back while they are working... This doesn't even come to the worst experience I had with them. Several years back(I wish I had the picture still) I got piecd of chicken with a maggot cooked into it. Mind you under most normal circumstances I'd not have ordered via a delivery service this but in this case a service (which I'll choose to leave nameless) got this done & now for the deal; I pretty much wanted a snack you could say for two days or nights (however you wish to call it) & ordered a eight-piece chicken, two biscuits & regular Popeye's fries & the stuff is pretty good. When you order the chicken you can choose either spicy or not such for those who got stomach issues, biscuits are excellent & say you got your own butter/spread no problems at all & yes the fries are good as well. Now I should let you know they do have seafood & also other sides so if you're not into some of say what I did you got this note/contingency plan with you. Prices are reasonable & all in all good so if you wonder if you pass a Popeye's is it worth it YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT! read more

UPDATE ON FRAUD: 08/22/2019 After a long break from not buying here, I decided to give it another shot via the drive-thru. And as usual, a few hours later, I got a FRAUD WARNING from my CC. As usual, someone tried to use my card info from NY. They tried to buy food using the Yelp app even though I don't have any CC's linked to Yelp. Between those two credit cards, I've had maybe 5 or more fraud alerts, hours after using it at this Popeye's. I'm not sure if someone is recording people's CC info when they hand them over in the drive-thru, but it's a massive coincidence that this happens every time I give them my card here. So let me just start by saying I love the food not the employees. Please replace them, I ordered for an online order & the meal comes in.... Except it's stuff I didn't ask for. They gave me Soda (my stomach can not handle that) they gave me 3 pcs tenders when I asked for the 5 combo And on top of that the only thing I was looking forward to was the mash potatoes.. I called the store in which they hung up three times which I understand because they couldn't hear me. I call back and talk to one of the male employees and I ask for the manager. I spoke to both and asked nicely "what can we do to fix my order I can't touch this?" Their response was "ummmm" alot. Where to begin.....first off I am giving three stars because I love Popeyes Chicken. I don't eat fast food often but when I do I always get Popeyes! I have to take away two stars because this location is by far the worst of them all. Each time I have gone they are out of something. Most recently, I tried to use a coupon for the "two can dine" but was told they were out of all side but french fries and cole slaw??? (ewwww) I wanted mashed potatoes and I was going to get macaroni and cheese for my son. I changed it to a single order and figured I would just take the fries and do something else for my son. I ended up using another coupon and going inside (you can't use two coupons on the same order) to get him tenders and paid extra for a biscuit. I asked for sweet heat sauce and was told they were out of that as well. When I got home I noticed that the french fries weren't event the normal cajun fries?! They were steak fries with ZERO seasoning on them which I thought was strange since they don't even serve steak fries. Where did they even come from??? I also realized they did not give me a receipt for either order so I couldn't even fill out the online customer survey because I don't have the store #. I contacted the store and the person on the phone refused to give me the number! Not sure why this location has such poor management, but it is in a very popular location and should do better. Whoever owns this one needs to make sure they are doing proper ordering and shouldn't be running out of things constantly. We ordered two of the same meal and got two different meals. the level of competence is absurd. i had to repeat my order multiple times and it was correct on the receipt but there was much confusion at the window. The service was absolutely awful. I asked for extra sauce and received two (for six pieces of chicken by the way) and not even the ranch. I felt like they practically threw the food at me (the wrong food). once we realized it was incorrect we drove around the drive thru again and the woman hung up the microphone because she realized it was us. unbelievable... The food was also so cold it tasted like it just came out of the fridge. I want to like this Popeye's but this last experience has cemented things in a negative way for me. Arrived around 8:30pm, mind you they don't close until 10pm. Ordered 2 boxes of boneless chicken, the 10-piece chicken dinner with 2 large sides. They reported that they were out of thighs in original recipe chicken, and only had 2 breasts, then wouldn't make po-boy sandwiches. It was over an hour until closing!!! I asked for a gallon of SWEET tea, specifically ASKED if the tea was sweet as there were no markings on the container. The shift supervisor/mgr stated it was sweet tea. Guess what... it's UNSWEET! Not a happy customer. The reason they get 2 stars is the young woman who rang up our order was very sweet and apologetic (she stated she is new. I hope the rest of the staff don't corrupt her.) This has to be the worst Popeyes Chicken restaurant we have been to. We stopped at the drive-thru here after shopping in the area and it was a terrible choice. When we arrived the restaurant was empty and there was only two cars ahead of us. The drive-thru line was painfully slow and when it came time to order they told us the chicken would take "7 minutes" to cook. We ordered our meal and pulled to the parking lot with the other cars. As we waited, the parking lot filled up with other drive-thru patrons and our "7 minutes" quickly went by. Since we weren't in a hurry and we were listening to the Pats game we decided to see how long it would take. 25 minutes later our order arrived. We checked our items and realized we didn't have some of our order. We went into the restaurant to tell the about the issue and we were greeted with rude looks. Staff including manager at 1:40 on Friday July 22nd were incompetent and very rude. Ordered online and the drive thru woman had my husband drive back around as to not mess with their timer of getting food out. Drive around and got attitude and door slammed in face repeatedly. Asked for a receipt and missing drinks and was handed one drink and door slammed back in face. Had to go inside which my husband was ignored by the manager right there at register counting money. No one ever apologized. Finally got a receipt to show that they still needed to give us 2 more drinks. Handed my husband a cup to fill them up himself but one was a sweet tea from behind the counter. Had a Fried Chicken Sandwich here for take-out on Friday - June 19, 2020. The drive-thru had about 15 to 18 cars in it, so, I went inside instead. It took about 20 minutes to receive my order. The Fried Chicken was okay, a bit smaller than normal. The pickles that they put in are NOT suited with the Fried Chicken or the Pretzel Roll. The pickles are NOT Dill Pickles. They are just semi-vinegarized pickles and have no flavor to them. They put Plain Mayonnaise on the Sandwich, but, I don't like that and I had them not put it on there. I opted for the small packets of Popeye's Hot Sauce which give it a boost of needed flavor. Order food through mobile app, went to pick it up at Drive-Thru order number 80. They said order was already picked up by someone name Tammy-T. On receipt that is not my name it's Timika. Really? What a jackass. Again, no "sorry" or anything. Just a "pull around". So I get to the window and the "manager" lady just looks at me. So I just look back at her. Can I help you? Are you going to fix the order? What did you order? Ok, again, #7 blackened with beans and rice. Blackened is different than mild or spicy. You said spicy. (At this point I lose it) Let me ask you a question. If I asked for blackened, why in the hell would your next question be "mild or spicy"? I know the difference and I know what I ordered. But what annnoys me is when i order my spicy tenders. They always mess up and give me mild which i think taste nasty.
