Lets start the review by saying my observation while waiting for my pizza slice and grinder, Pizza Makers is under new ownership. Heard they are still using all the same ingredients and so forth so not much in the way of change. I still give Pizza Makers a positive review, not the five I once gave but I was not all gitty about my chicken parm grinder. The slice of pizza though had me thinking I could devour a large by myself. The pizza had a nice bite to it. The gentlemen who ordered before me came back in and raved about it. The other gentleman who was already sitting down when asked by the owner said it too was good. I thought it was delicious! My chicken parm grinder was ok. Maybe it was the extra cheese I asked to put on it, or looking forward to a full cutlet and not cut into strips. Wasn't overly hot but I did eat it after the slice of pizza while sitting outside so it may have cooled off a bit. The new owner you can see is very passionate about his work. Made sure every customer ordered it they wanted. Was impressed with the way he spoke to a young girl with her father on what she wanted exactly. His partner who was running the counter could have used a coffee for some much needed energy. No pep in his step or real positive customer service. There is a help wanted sign out front and would be willing to bet the owner would hire and train a young ambitious kid if they came into the shop. This was my first time at Pizza Makers and I'm so glad I stopped in. My "small" pizza was much larger than expected and absolutely delicious. The toppings were so fresh. Along with great sauce, cheese and crust, it was the best pizza I have had in quite some time. Next time I might be temped to order a grinder, but I'll probably want pizza again. I had a cold cut grinder today. The bread was the softest and freshest grinder roll I have ever had. Sooooo Good!

I ordered a medium combo pizza. I was shocked when the women told me it was almost 28.00? I was like for a medium pizza. Insane! Get the pizza home and 1/2 of one side was burnt. So disappointed. Okay honestly very disappointed to see the businesses current rating, however the reviews are all very dated sooooooo I AM HERE TO FIX THIS. Honestly pizza makers are my go to for quality, cost efficient and yummylicious pizza. It's conveniently located for me in comparison to red rose, they never screw up my order, it's always done quickly and well! The crust isn't too thin and the sauce is my favorite on the pizzas located in Springfield. In my opinion, it's one of the most important parts and so many pizzas lack in the sauce flavor department. we used to go here quite often. All the time prices were great. The people were friendly, and then two weeks later we order the same thing we normally do and it cost us almost 9 dollars more than before because they decided to go up on their prices on grinders, almost 4 dollars apiece that is crazy will not be visiting them any longer read more

These folks do a pretty darn good job for take out pizza and wings. The pizza has always been very good and the individual slices are large so they will do quite nicely for lunch. The Buffalo Hot Wings are a clear winner, spice level is dead on and the price is less than the other local competitors. I usually order from here when I'm too lazy to cook dinner. And I have to say, I have never been disappointed. Several times I have ordered the Ziti and Chicken Parmesan dinner. The generosity of the portions cannot be understated. I always have enough leftovers for one, sometimes two, more meals! The dinner comes with a nice, fresh salad (enough for 2) and dressing, and piece of garlic bread. Everything is very tasty. This dinner costs $14 and change ($15 with a tip), but you're getting enough for more than one meal. In the past I have ordered their pizzas, and they are excellent. read more

This is a great neighborhood pizza shop. The sandwiches are huge and a reasonable price and we really enjoy the pizza. When we moved here from Minnesota we were unsure of the climate we were moving into compared to where we came from. With Fox News on the TV, it made me feel a little more at home. I read another review about how somebody will not go back because they had Fox News on. I will be returning gladly because they did. For the record, I would go back even if they had CNN on. I grew up in Jersey on some of the best $1.00 slices on the planet, and now in 2015 I finally found a great $2.00 slice in Springfield/East Longmeadow. All I can say is thanks Pizza Makers, I really haven't had a really great slice of plain old cheese pizza since I have moved up here. Wife and I also split an order of wings and they were also great. I've been going to Pizza Makers for 25+ years. When I was a kid it was the only place my parents would order from. For many years I would have said its the best pizza in the world! Within the last year or two it seems like they've gone down hill. The pizza isn't as consistent as it used to be and the service isn't very good at all (we got a party cheese recently that was worse than a frozen grocery store pizza!). The pizza is still good, but not the friendly/consistent experience that it used to be. This place was a total waste of money. Our orders of fish and chips had 2 small fish pieces and came along with stale and hard fries. One of the best pizza places in the area, although the prices are higher than the other places we get pizza. We first gave them a try three years ago. At that time, there were a bunch of reviews online (not from Yelp) - most were glowing, but there were a few that referred to a rude female manager and bad customer service related to her. Decided to give them a shot anyhow. So far, we've only had one problem, and there was no rude service involved. An order of fries was left out of a delivery. We called & they were supposed to bring the missing fries, but they never came back. Every other order had been tasty, fresh, & well-done. The flavors of their pizza far outshine their competition. The only negative I can think of was their Pasta Faggiole soup. Didn't care for it. All the other places I've gotten this soup have just a hint of tomato in it and are loaded with cannellini beans. Theirs had a thick & heavy tomato base and few beans. I was sure they'd given me Minestrone soup by mistake. Perhaps there's more than one way this soup is typically made. read more

Need a lesson on cross contamination. I had to stop the man about to touch my pizza before he put my slices in the box. No gloves on and he had just touched the trash can and a bunch of other things before putting the lady's pizza in front of me in her box and contaminating her pizza. I kindly asked the man to not touch my pizza until he put gloves on and pointed out his lack of cleanliness. Place went to absolute SH*T. Pizza was raw. Half had no crust cuz it was cut so poorly. Leaking grease and sauce out the corners of the box. Just disgusting. I love the pizza but ordering on the phone here has to be one of the worst experiences. You have to repeat yourself constantly or yell into the phone. My BF has been coming here since hs, since it's down the street from his family's house. We ordered a medium pizza for 12 (+2.50 for toppings). We called in to pick up and when we got there, 20 min later, they had just stuck the pizza in the oven and said it would be a few min. I thought that was the reason people called ahead? So that it would be ready at the allotted time they've said? The pizza was really good - very cheesy! And it's a value. The size of their medium, is equal to an extra large Pizza Hut pizza. Was disappointed when I found out Bruno's was closed, so I had to look up other local pizzerias and said screw it il try some random place. Bad news for Bruno's...pizza makers is just as good if not better. We ordered a large pizza for delivery. When it arrived an hour later we all were shocked when we opened the box. The pizza was burned top and bottom. The toppings were all burned to a crisp and grease soaked through the bottom of the box. Can not describe how gross the taste was. The crust was so burned that it couldn't be chewed easily. I called Pizza Makers to let them know we received sub standard garbage. The manager said that he was going to leave a message that we were to get a credit on next order. When I asked how much he said I would get a $6.00 credit- !! On a $27 dollar piece of garbage! It was the second worse pizza we ever had. The first was last year when we ordered a combination pizza, same as tonight. We thought we'd give them another try after last year. We were hoping that perhaps someone who actually knew the pizza business had bought them out. If I could give a "zero" star I would. Avoid this place!! read more

Great pizza. I live in East Longmeadow and usually get it delivered, Always gets to my house still hot. Ordered from here at least 20 times and happy every time. I've ordered plain, pepperoni, and many other combos and was satisfied with them all. I would sit down at the place but I don't think they have beer. And if you like spicy buffalo wings... Try the "death wish wings" if you like something that is actually spicy and not just rated G spicy. Reminds me of the old Quicky's "Dead on Arrival" wings back when they were in EL (maybe not quite that hot but fairly close). Also if you don't like extreme spicy, Pizza Makers have good regular hot wings too. They are the smaller type of wings perfect for watching the game. To be honest, if Wings over Springfield delivered to EL I would order from there, but they've stopped doing that so... Pizza Makers can get me those actually spicy "Death Wish" wings which fixes that problem! read more

Very nice people, great food- tastes like homemade, or at least fresh- not prepackaged stuff. For me worth the extra $1-2 to know there won't be anything brown in my salad.
