It was possibly the worst chicken that I have ever eaten in my life! There is no way that I will ever order food from there again. The chicken was greasy, and the mealy crust fell off as I was trying to eat it. I don't know how long it had been sitting there. It obviously wasn't freshly cooked and it tasted a little off. I ended up giving it to my dog. My side of cole slaw was warmer than the chicken! Really? Warm cole slaw? The biscuit was hard as a brick. The drink was fine. I scheduled this order four hours before through Grub Hub. I live near the mall, and the driver brought it soon after picking it up. Nice staff lady took my order and did fantastic. I was in the area grabbing something as I was in the area on way to work getting lunch. I saw something that caught my attention surf and turf with frozen lemonade & the chocolate benet's!!! I definitely will return when in the situation of hunger and in the area. I don't remember the last time I've tried Popeyes. Given the cool temperatures and my deep seeded desire for spicy chicken sandwiches. It was time to give them a try. On a workday (1/13/20) picked up from the 71st & Riverside location nearest my work. In fairness to Popeyes, it was 15 minutes before I got back seated to my desk to eat my savory chicken. Nonetheless the foil wrapper did a good job keeping the sandwich warm. The bun was a high-class brioche style bun. You could definitely taste it had been kissed by butter. I was disappointed that the spicy flavor seem to have been solely derived from the sauce. The breading did *not* appear to have any spicy seasoning. The overall quality of the plump chicken breast was good. It was juicy. On the whole I did not think that it was as flavorful or textural as either Chick-fil-A or Wendy's on this front. Side of red beans and rice was fine. The consistency of the beans was somewhat mashed. Thank halfway between Mexican refried beans versus whole beans. Tasted fine. The strawberry cheesecake limited edition pie on the other hand it was VERY good. The crust had some texture and a little bit of a sweet dusting on the outside. It was a delicious bite through and through. Was greeted with a smile when I went inside to try to defeat the drivethru line. Even at approximately 130 the drive-thru was jumping. My order was prepared exactly as ordered. Overall good experience. Would stop at this Popeyes again if in the neighborhood. Wouldn't be in a rush for this chicken sandwich in relation to its formidable competition. read more

The biscuit was very dry and hockey puck-ish and not moist. If these are the items you want then I honestly think you would be better off at KFC or Church's Chicken. The cashier was polite and knowledgeable regarding menu. We don't usually do fast food unless we are traveling. This is the one indulgence that is the exception to all rules. When the Captain is happy life is good. Here is the best'EST part. While hubby was paying for the food, the order was being served. This operation is efficient and the service is great. Don't know why this place only have 3 stars, it deserves more. I often order the family meal, since the proportion they give you is worth what you pay for. The fried chicken tasted good, but a bit dry for me. I like the biscuits and coleslaw from this restaurant, but not everyone like the sweet and salty taste of their biscuits. The price is reasonable compare to other fast food places, they do have a special offer for fried chicken on every Tuesday. Every time when I drive by this location, there always a long line for drive thru. Staffs are friendly and helpful, they helped me pick out the food on my first visit. Don't bother ordering through the drive through. You'll just end up having to go in when you drive off and realize your order is wrong. The last 3 or 4 times including this time my order was wrong. If you go in, they'll at least fix it but you basically get blown off if you try and call to let them know they've messed up. Just check your order before you leave so they can fix it.
