I found out there is a Popeye here in the Ironwood Plaza when I was googling for location. This is so convenient for those traveling on Steveston highway or for those shopping in the plaza. The place is at the corner behind chevron gas station, near the McDonald's. Plenty of parking in the plaza parking lot. The place is clean and quite spacious. I had the classic chicken sandwich, not to be confused with the deluxe version which for $1 more, you will get lettuce and tomato. I went with the classic because, nobody really craved for tomato and lettuce. It was good but not not as good as before. I could not tell if it was just my preference/tastebuds now or it just did not taste the same. Still a decent chicken sandwich though. A good alternative to the other fast food joints in the area.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! These people give you the littlest to nothing when it comes to these small portions. As seen in this picture the medium fries I asked for is basically nothing. I saw them in the restaurant weighing out the fries and happened to remove about 4 pieces of fries just because it was a little bit over the weight that it should be. And the gravy I received was not even filled up all the way. I only received about half of the serving it was in which was pretty disappointing. This wasn't even a one time thing. This kept on repeating over and over again. I have no choice to go to this one as the next one is pretty far from my house. If you want to get a bank for your buck don't ever go here

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen broke open the 'chicken wars' with its world famous tasty supreme chicken…read moresandwich aka 'The Sandwich,' launched in the summer of 2019. People went bananas, fights broke out in the line-ups & even a death occurred - all over this chicken sandwich!!! Yikes! It threw all competitors to the wayside & had them eating chicken feed! As an aside note & tip in regards to a comparable chicken sandwich, I have to be honest - a close runner up in my books is - The Jerk at Downlow Chicken. I tried it for the first time at their UBC location a few weeks ago. See my review. DLC has a serious hit on its hands with this sandwich & if you haven't tried it - well get down there yesterday! Popeyes is still dear to my heart & I'll always favour the chicken sandwich (the reason for my 5 STARS - supreme taste & the price is right) here - but only the spicy version of course! The fish burger at Popeyes however, does need some work though so if you want a fish burger, stick to the Golden Arches! In the meantime we now have 10 Popeyes Louisiana Kitchens, located in Metro Vancouver & with more to come! Next week in Merica, y'all lucky cause the new, Megan Thee Stallion, hot sauce (honey, cider vinegar + Aleppo pepper) - 'Hottie Sauce' - launches in collabo with Popeyes! Now that's one Hottie Sauce I'd love to ... ! Look out all fast food joints - serious competition is here!

Thanks for the recommendation Jando S. At first glance, the prices are average for this type of food. However, once I saw the humongous portions, I believe this vendor should clearly be categorized as cheap eats. For example, for roughly $10, you get three large pork chops (fried or marinated, I slightly preferred the fried more), sautéed cauliflower in XO sauce, soy braised tofu skin (so good I paid for extra $5 portion), crunchy pickles, stewed fish tofu, marinated egg, and a whole separate box of white rice. This is easily $15-20 in NYC. Same price for the crispy, tender, and juicy Chicken Nuggets (aka Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken) with all the trimmings. The quality of every item in the box was top notch and all very delicious. What many customers ordered that interests me for the next visit was the Salt & Pepper Chicken (椒麻鸡), which was basically a huge piece of pounded chicken thigh, battered like the popcorn chicken, with a mala sauce on top. This is a gem for the people who live locally in the area. Such bang for the buck!

Delicious, delicious, delicious. Honestly, the best hu tieu I've ever had, and I've been thinking…read moreabout this place since I've had it. I'm going to start with the sucky thing first - the parking SUCKS! It's not necessarily their fault, but the location could be better. There's like only a few allotted parking stalls so be aware of that. otherwise, this restaurant is lovely. amazing, attentive service, and delicious food! Super chill vibes when I arrived, I think it was after 3pm. The location is a spacious restaurant, clean, and there were people ordering takeout. You know a restaurant is good when the menu is small. I ordered the signature dry noodles, and my mom ordered the seafood noodles with soup. the broth is truly what makes this. Perfect balance of salty, with a very umami-rich broth, and just rich in pork. This broth is just what makes this dish so mezmerizing. The meats that were provided in this bowl were also tender and delicious. No complaints there. Noodles were fresh, and definitely a good portion. I loved that there was a little side bar for their condiments - help yourself to limes, chili oil, hoisin sauce, etc! yes please. The seafood noodles were also good - no complaints there. slightly sweet, light, and umami-rich... not to mention, huge servings too! We ordered a side of the pork bones/meat that was used for the soup and it was so good! Super tender and you could tell that the pork was really cooked in the broth. This was a ton of meat (we could not eat this all). I really like this place. They do their dishes solid, and are intentional about serving fresh, quality food that is really warming to the bones. You just leave feeling happier ;) would absolutely come again!

We arrived during lunch hour on a Saturday and half of the restaurant was full. Surprised there wasn't more people as the restaurant has a good amount of free parking available too! Amongst the two of us we tried the appetizers taster platter and the signature original rice noodle soup. The appetizer platter had good variety of appies from salad roll, spring roll, fried wonton and fish cake. The signature original rice noodle soup was a popular choice across many tables. It has a really nice garlic flavour to the soup and had shrimp, quail eggs, pork, and liver in the noodle soup - it was good but I noticed one of the liver was a bit red and undercooked after eating part of it. The staff apologized. Hu Tieu Hung Phat seems to have a nice variety of Vietnamese dishes so I would definitely visit again!
