Very courteous service and great food at reasonable prices. I had high expectations and the food was better than I imagined. Thank you to the staff at Smokehouse Sandwich Co.

Boo ya! The newest un-named sandwich. It's a banh mi inspired smoked prawn sandwich. I got to it first! Pffffft....

Today is officially the day where I have eaten EVERYTHING on the menu, with exception the the veggie option. I'm a meat eater so I can't be bothered with vegetarian, although I'm sure it's also good. Just eat here already!

Im not a burger or sandwhich eater, but this place is an exception! I took a friend of mine here and he was thoroughly impressed with the quality. I have tried Samson, Billie, Sarah, and Wilbur. I have also tried their crisps, their tossed greens and honey ginger tea. For the sandwhiches, I would put Samson, Billie and Wilbur in the top 3. Sarah is like a vietnamese sub but not. I rather just go get a vietnamese sub for half the price elsewhere and it will taste even better. The greens I ate had quinoa and salsa. I chose the house sauce, it was so good! The crisps were ok, I wasn't aware that we could buy some salsa on the side, so I had plain kettle cooked crisps.

The menu on the left. I love the lighting!

This place was SO GOOD. I recommend the Sarah or the Samson. Great prices for DELICIOUS food. The inside was charming with the wooden table tops and white vintage chairs. Very comfy and inviting with a cozy couch and Dr. Seuss books. Back to the food- the chips are delicious, the sandwiches are even more delicious, and the ginger drink or strawberry mint drink are nice add ons. Seriously BOMB food, and family owned. The owner lady was VERY nice, next time I'm in town- I'm definitely coming back!

If you love sandwiches, this is definitely one place worth stopping by. I ordered the regular samson ($9.99) which is the coffee-crusted strawberry glazed beef brisket with aioli, red bell peppers and lettuce. I also ordered a soup of the day ($2.99) which was curry mushroom. The sandwich was really a good balance of flavours. The potato chips were crispy and nicely seasoned. The soup was alright. It had a light curry flavour with a few bites of sliced mushrooms. I think the amount of food was more than enough for someone with a small appetite. However, if you want a more filling meal, you need to order the double meat.

We ordered 2 different chicken sandwiches and both were lacking flavor. The French fries were tasty. The place lacks ambiance.

Three things: fries, Strawberry mint drink and Honey Ginger Lemon drink. The sandwiches are solid quality, but these three are legendary.

The Case of the Missing Fish…read more I had my salmon and halibut shipped from the fishing lodge back in June. There is an expected processing time of 6-8 weeks. Around 7 weeks my father got a call from St. Jean's arranging for his catch to be shipped to him. I called to find out about the status of my order and they had no record of my shipment. I gave them my invoice number and it wasn't in their system. After a few weeks someone at the cannery finally found my fish and it hadn't been processed yet because of some issue with my order. Was anyone ever going to contact me and work out those issues? When they finally found my fish there were a few salmon missing. To be honest I don't know if this was an issue with the cannery or the fishing lodge. After another few weeks of calls between the lodge and cannery they found a few fish to help make up some of the order. The lodge sent additional fish and I awaited word from the cannery. After another few weeks I called and lo and behold they had received the shipment and they said they would be calling me the next week to arrange shipment. Guess what? Yep! No calls back. Another two weeks pass and I call asking to speak to a Supervisor. He's not in so I get his voicemail. I leave a message and time passes. Today, one-two weeks after the voice mail and I call again and the Supervisor is out for the next two days. I am assured that my message will be hand delivered and I will be contacted as soon as he gets back. Stay tuned to see if I actually talk to someone and if I will ever actually receive my fish. (I will update review when and if there is a resolution to my saga.) I'm not holding my breath.

Tasty but pretty expensive food truck. Came across this in Port Moody by Rocky Point Park…read more They only really have a few items. Of course everyone goes for the brisket. I must say it was nice and juicy. With that said, wow it's pricy. The "Vancouver's Best Cornbread" is a pretty tall claim, but this place delivers. The cornbread is suprisingly moist and sweet. Of course, try not to think about the ingredients. Definitely worth trying. Pretty solid food if one has deep enough pockets. Recommended.

Maybe it's better in the prairies but here I've find it hard to find either beef or pork cooked right with most it either being dry, unseasoned or undersmoked. The big plus for Rosie's is they actually seem to know how to cook brisket using fatty cuts and smoking it long enough to breakdown the connective tissue without it getting mushy. It could have been smoked even longer but it was probably the best I've had in BC. They don't have burnt ends and at least the server I dealt with didn't seem to know what they are. They at least know you never serve Texas BBQ with sauce on it. It's expensive for BBQ which seems to be standard in Canada with 18 dollars for just 1/2 a pound but it's good enough I'll pay it. They didn't ask if I wanted lean or fatty which is traditional in BBQ joints. I found the pulled pork to not be as good. It didn't have the flavour or moistness that I expect especially compared to the South Carolina pulled pork that I prefer and eat when visiting family there. Also it looks more chopped than pulled. If that is Vancouver's best cornbread I'm guessing the bar for cornbread is pretty low too. It's too sweet. Cornbread is a savory dish. The moistness was good. This would be bog standard Q in Austin or Charleston but for Vancouver it's very very good.

update review .. a shout out in support of their slogan .. "what seafood should be"…read more I have now purchased and tasted a wide variety of the St Jean's smoked and unsmoked, canned seafood products. And they have truly been 'the' best looking, most flavourful, fish and other seafood canned products I have ever tasted. Pacific Ocean, locally caught/harvested, west coast BC seafoods, processed and packed (many by hand) on Vancouver Island. They have offered many wow's when tins were opened, and products inside seen. And even more accolades when tasted!! So a big 'Yes' from me, I think their slogan is 'on the mark' for the products I have tasted, and well-deserve the slogan the company has chosen.

My wife and I have fished the West Coast of Vancouver since the late 80's. As a way to extend our trip, we always take our first limits we catch to St Jean's to have smoked and canned and sent home. It is without doubt and hesitation the best product we have ever had. Every time we take it anywhere we always get comments of how wonderful it is. Just as an example, when we returned from our trip in July, we gave a couple of cans to our garbage man, a young man from Africa who always shows a smile and goes beyond in providing fantastic service. The next time we saw him he stopped his truck and came running up to tell us that he shared it with his family and they all thought it was the best salmon they have ever had. That response was what we hear from everyone. We have 2 more cans sitting out for him as a Christmas gift this week. Every dish we use it in is stellar. The product is always consistent and wonderful. We are always excited to receive our notice from the shipper that our package is on the way. It may take awhile because they are so busy, but totally worth the waiting time and cost. We thank you St Jean's for your great service and incredible products. We look forward to visiting again in July and highly recommend that everyone stop by and try your products. They are simply the best.
