I live in Nevada, and a friend of mine who moved from New Jersey recommended this shop to me (since they offer delivery) and told me to call and ask for Heidi because their selections for out-of-state flavors are different than what they sell in-state. When I called to ask for Heidi, the lady on the phone was rude and unprofessional, and wouldn't let me speak with Heidi and just kept saying, "She's not interested." I asked if this is how she treats all of their customers and she still was rude. I told her I'd take my business elsewhere, and would leave this review. After reading other reviews on here though, I can see that I'm not the only one who experienced this horrible customer service. read more

On this particular visit I have to give it one star. There's this one older skinny lady that I'm not too fond of her customer service skills sucks and she acts like she hates what she does. It was almost like a issue with her to even help me and then when she did she stared and looked in my face as I was reading the sampler menu. The other times I went in there I would have gave this more than a 3-star because the older gentleman is wonderful he makes you feel welcome, he lets you sample as many as you want and he also has a conversation with you and tries to get to know what you try to be but this older woman before I cussed her out it was best that I left the store. I've been going here for about 3 months since i moved back to the east coast from California. Not only do hey have a good selection there customer service is amazing. I went in today because my bo stopped working. They tried to fix it and nothing. They asked me what i charged it with and i had been using the pod from my i phone. I had fried my last bo and bought this one Monday. They let me know that i can't use that pod bc it will fry the battery. It was my fault clearly for frying the vape and they simply just replaced the mod and didn't charge me even though it was my fault. They even gave me a new pod to charge it on so it doesn't happen again. They were so nice about it and made the whole thing so easy. Another good thing is there point system. So when i buy juice it adds points so eventually you get money off. This is best vape store i have found in south jersey as I've been to a few bc i tend to have bad luck with my vapes. They also have the best prices. And are always extremely friendly :) read more

Clean and professional business. Has an array of e-liquids that you can sample before you buy (which is great). Prices vary on e-liquid depending on brand. Kits, batteries, tanks and more. The salesmen are very knowledgeable and very helpful. You also receive a frequent buyer card on e-liquid after your purchase. All and all a great experience. This place is great. Staff are extremely knowledgable and friendly. The juice bar is great, bring your own tip or ask for a disposable one and they will let you try the juices before buying. My first time there, I spoke with just about everyone in the shop and thy were all really nice and had no problem helping me and my two friends. Went back twice in the first week with other friends, all of us attempting to quit cigarettes. Nothing but bad experiences with this place, the people are so rude and not very knowledgable about the product they sell and are seemingly unaware of anything that exists outside of the low end cloned kanger products that they carry, they're pricing isn't bad at all and they do carry a couple premium juices but they do not make their own, that's something I like to see. A shop that can make their own solid line is a shop that knows what they're doing. Everytime I go in the place is bombarded with high school kids who I guarantee aren't 19 and getting an employees attention is nearly impossible even though there are 3+ people behind the counter at all times. It's got a massive selection of mods/pens/accessories at reasonable prices -- although I have seen some of their items considerably marked up (but also some marked down) from the average. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. It's a fun environment -- everyone is always chillin and discussing vapes. They seem to have items I have not located anywhere else. Decent juice selection (very solid Vapor Chef selection). I deduct one star because they charge for a build. This is the first place I've seen this done and when I buy something significantly priced, I kind of expect the build to be free. read more

Started vaping about a year ago. This was the first store I went into to find out about it. From day one they have always been super helpful with all of my needs. I knew nothing walking in and they walked me through everything and made it very easy. From the beginning, they never tried to sell me the most expensive equipment they had. They tailored the stuff I bought to my needs at the time. Over the course of the year, I have changed to different items and they have always worked with me to make sure I knew about the new equipment and was happy. I have been in many different stores depending on where I might be when I need something, but will always go to Popies as my main store. The have one of the biggest selections around, have a great rewards program, and even offer a small military discount. The place has great product but the staff are extremely unfriendly. I guess it is cliche for vape shops to act apathetic but at least try and engage with your customers. I stopped vaping but if any of my friends ask for a good place, I might have to tell them elsewhere. It is quite amazing how simply being friendly can get you places. As a first time user, I did extensive research online about vaping. Found this place locally so went over to check it out. It was my first time in a vape shop. I went in kind of knowing what i was looking for. I couldnt find the exact brand (Innokin) of pipe I was looking for, but they did have a nice selection of hardware and a decent amount of juice selection. When I went in to the store, I was a little shocked, its not like their website. The website gives a dark and gothlike experience which is the exact opposite feeling I got at the store. The store reminded me of an early apple store... one big display of hardware.. then two bar locations with menus toward the back of the room where you can sit down and sample some liquid.. I had two-three samples going at a time as i was bouncing between them while i was there. Overall a good experience, I bought some stuff, of which I am enjoying! Will be back! read more

I've been shopping here for my vape products since they opened up. Great shop with an awesome variety of juice. I've been to a handful of different shops throughout NJ and still haven't found anywhere who has the variety of premium juice brands that popies does. I will say, I have started ordering my juice online only because I found a wholesale website that has cheaper prices, but popies is very competitive to other shops in the area. Popies is definitely my go to spot for anything I need. I've also upgraded my tank and mod here and the employees were great help since I still consider myself a novice in the vape world. They also always have what I need when I need it as sometimes I buy my coils by the single when I'm low on cash. I'm a loyal customer. read more

Decided to check out popies since a friend of mine is a frequent shopper and told me they have a wide range of juices to try. First of all, every juice i tried tasted terrible, most likely because of the vape pens they use to try them on. I decided to buy kryptonite since i was told it was a top seller. Not only did it taste like i was vaping a urinal cake but it gave me a migraine, which ive never experienced with vaping any juice. I called to ask if i could exchange it and was told that they wont do anything for me because its not sealed, even though cosmic fog juices dont come with seals on them... Looks like i wont be going here anymore if they cant even help a first time customer. Im not sure why its necessary to lose 2+ customers over a bottle of juice that possibly was from a bad batch. If theres anything that can be done ill gladly change my review. read more

Stop in to check out the new Kanger Sub Box Mini and spoke with Tom. After a short but solid conversation I was purchasing the unit, batteries, a charger & juices. The selection was pretty diverse and the atmosphere was relaxed and not as you might think from a vapor lounge. The juice menu (that's right a menu) was well put together and I was allowed to sample the juices that I thought seemed like something I'd like. All in all, the prices were competitive against what I could find online for the the unit I was looking for, the staff was courteous, professional & very knowledgeable. When they first opened, this place was great, but quickly turned. I've been vaping for almost 5 years (way before they came into town!) and always felt like they talked down to me. It's very hard to get someone's attention here, and honestly, not worth my energy anymore. I've said this in other reviews, I get to choose who earns my business, and don't feel like they deserve my hard earned money anymore. I don't like to rate local businesses poorly when I know they are trying to earn a good living, but work on your customer service ASAP. The kiddies that hang out there all the time too make for a really uncomfortable experience sometimes when everyone turns to stare at who walks in the door. Way to make paying customers feel unwelcome. With brick and mortar shops popping up literally all over the place, I'll go where my business is appreciated. Sorry. read more

If you are going to buy something and plan on never going back, Popie's has a pretty decent selection of products. Unfortunately, I bought an e-cigg that would not stop leaking out of the air intake hole. This happened on and off for about 2 weeks until the leaking oil ruined enough of my clothes that I decided to go back and complain I took the device apart and found which o-ring wasn't sealing properly and took it back to the shop to hopefully get a new tank. After explaining the situation, I was immediately accused of "not using the device properly" and was then given a 5 minute mildly insulting walk-through of how to properly use an e-cigg. I sat and listened, and once the employee was finished, I continued where I left off, showing him exactly where the tank was leaking from. After about 20 minutes of hemming and hawing, they finally agreed to give me a new tank. The very next day, I wake up and find my e-cigg sitting on my desk in a pile of oil. So I take the pen back to the shop after work where I was deferred to who I think was the manager. The manager was even less helpful and more accusatory, basically telling me that it is my fault. After I very respectfully asked to return the item I had and pick out something new. I even said I'll buy something more expensive and i'll pay the difference out of pocket...but he declined. I told him the product I had was poorly designed, and combined with shotty Chinese manufacturing, lead to a malfunctioning unit. The manager got extremely defensive that I used the word "Chinese" and starts naming all of these other Chinese companies who make great products...like Samsung and Apple (for some reason he thinks that Apple and "E-leaf" have the same quality control budget). He must have assumed I was some cocky kid who didn't know much, so when I told him I was a product development engineer for a medical company and showed him EXACTLY what the problem was, he backed down a little bit and finally gave me a new tank (different design and manufacturer) free of charge. While I'm grateful he eventually gave me a new tank, I did not appreciate being treated like an idiot nor having to beg and plead to return a malfunctioning product for one that works properly. Safe to say I will not be returning to Popie's strictly because of the personnel. read more

Great shop but as far as customer service they would rather have the young guns in there and dealing with them. tried to go to-tasting bar and was full of young kids in there just tasting and did not buy. I have spent lot of money and think the customer service could be a little better as well as some ventilation in there would be great. I am a 49 year old woman who comes in with her husband and in the customer service industry and if all you see on a Friday night is a bunch of 20 somethings just hanging out and not buying stuff when i am trying to get service just irritates me.
