    Bay Area Golf Tour

Board member for the Bay Area Golf Tour, head of membership and community. Our league had a blast playing this course for our inaugural open tournament this month. The course helped get the driving range ready for us. They had amazing service from start to finish. They were all extremely professional and accommodating. Course conditions were phenomenal and the greens were unbelievable! Truly a fun an challenging tournament. We highly recommend this course for any tournaments out there. Thank you to the staff for all their hard work and for hosting us.

Play this course a couple days ago. Good course was fun. The fairways are wide open. Reservations that were made were booked online really easy to do. Did not have a slow down at all with a teatime of 6:20 AM. I will definitely come back to this place. If you're a San mateo resident, I would suggest getting a resident card. Which you would have to show an ID and a form of identification and utility bill with the address on it.

Not until you get your receipt do you realize you've been charged a Credit Card Fee?

Muni course that is just decent; some fairways were definitely rough brown spots. Played Twilight for $30 and it was very crowded, waiting at each hold to play! Very slow play, took us over 5 hours to finish! Just my opinion, but very rude golfers play at this course. More than half the holes we had players drive on to our hole to hit their out-of-bound balls, even when we were about to hit. No golf etiquette among these players? Course is not the greatest maintained, pace of play is terrible. Beware when paying for your round of golf... the screen they show you for your charges is not the total you pay. When I put my credit card to pay it showed $60 for two Twilight players, but I received my receipt there was a $1.26 service fee for using my credit card. Shouldn't you show on your screen the total charge or at least post a sign that using a credit card to pay will incur a service fee??? Right, a $1.26 charge isn't going to kill me, but I should see exactly what I'm paying! Customer Service from the pro shop is not you friendliest staff!

Course maintenance is awful and the pace of play is even worse. The only time I play there now is if it's my last option.

The club offers several membership levels tailored to different needs, and the facilities are well‑maintained, and cared for by a staff that works hard to keep everything looking great. We joined in 2019 because we didn't have a swimming pool at home, and our kids wanted to enjoy the summer weather. The newly renovated pool had just opened, and it was incredible to see how many families were out enjoying the patio, the Terrace Café, the diving board, and the overall energy of the space. We chose the Clubhouse membership because I'm not a big golfer, but I still appreciate being able to join friends for an occasional round as a guest. The food at PGCC is exceptional. Whether you're craving American, Italian, salads, or something quick and easy, the club is often a better option than going out. It's less crowded, the staff is friendly, and service is quick -- perfect for families. During the off months, they open up the Terrace cafe for kids and children with activities there so the parents can enjoy finishing dinner while they play XBox, color, or games with monitored lifeguards there. The Wellness Center is another standout. It's clean, modern, and fully equipped. I actually canceled my Equinox membership because the club's gym and fitness classes meet all my needs. They offer yoga, TRX, cardio dance, barre, and more -- truly something for everyone. The locker rooms are great as well, and having a personal locker has made it easy and convenient to keep my gear at the club. PGCC recently added new pickleball courts, and they've quickly become one of the most popular social spots. They bring a fresh, active vibe to the club and help break the old stereotype of country clubs being stuffy or outdated. The club still maintains a traditional dress code, but I appreciate it -- it creates boundaries, preserves the elevated feel of the environment, and teaches our kids about manners, respect, and etiquette. The grounds are beautiful, the facilities are well kept, and the overall experience is consistently excellent. If you're looking for a family‑friendly, active, community‑oriented country club with events and amenities for all ages, PGCC is absolutely worth checking out!

Less muddy, and greens were in great shape and really tough to read. Typically when I play, I always play the tees that the people I get paired up with want to play, and this time it was the blue tees. It's been 15+ years since I played the blues, and I gotta say, it's definitely way more challenging. The par 3s become extra long, you have to be more strategic with your tee shots, and definitely makes you have to play your longer irons for approach shots. If you can score well from the blue tees, you are probably a really good golfer. That being said, I got some work to do lol If you are a newer golfer, definitely play the white or red tees. And plan to bring a lot of balls because there's plenty of spots to lose them, especially if you are errant off the tee. The prices here have raised just a tad with a weekend round costing around $127 a person with a cart. I was able to snag a discounted tee time through GolfNow, so saved some money there. Overall, really fun course, my girlfriend's first time playing here and had a lot of fun. Definitely will be back especially since it's like 10-minutes from home.

The pro shop was small, but had everything you needed, and the staff was all really friendly. The driving range was beat-up visually, but worked to get loosened up and make some pre-round swings. The course was really pretty. It was definitely challenging. There are virtually no flat lies and no straight putts. It's tough, but not so hard it's not fun. I also felt like the more you play here, the easier it would be. There are lots of blind tee shots and elevation changes, and lots of hazard if you're too far right or left. Even if your golf sucks, you absolutely cannot be the view from 90% of the course. Definitely not a bad way to spend an afternoon!
