Authentic oven style pizza and calzones served by extremely friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit! The 10" (smallest size) calzone is HUGE

The service was excellent, the restaurant has a nostalgic pizza place style, and the food was good. We got the Polpette and Granny Smith Apples calzones and both were delicious. The bread was so soft and fluffy. The combo of apples and cheese was a nice sweet/savory mix and the meatballs with cheese and sauce were perfect classic pizza flavors. The sauce was not too sweet or salty, but a little bit thin. Good for dipping though. The worker was super nice and helpful and he gave me a free side of sauce with my garlic bread, which was also soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Overall great!

Solid neighborhood pizza joint - plus so much more: beer, salads, calzones, homemade sweet tea! Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Thanks, Robert. Another pepperoni panzarotti (they'd call it a customized calzone) today for me. Did I mention that you're provided with real silverware? Love that How does anyone eat with plastic ware? Finished it off with a fountain Pepsi including a teeny bit of Cheerwine. I'm not a Pepsi fan. The Cheerwine helps Yes, I'll be back.

Pop's is SO good! I've lived in Durham for several years and have no idea how I missed this gem! Outdoor seating and tons of great pizza combinations, awesome lunch specials, and several options for draft beer/cider. Great service and delicious pizza! Favorites we have tried so far are: #1 Granny Pizza, #10 BBQ Chicken, and the #6 Pesto Chicken. The zucchini fries were good too but the pizza/calzones are the star of the show. (Be warned, big calzone is REALLY big - how delightful!)

Found this little spot as we did a short visit to watch the blue devils baseball. It was delicious and the dough was fresh. Loved the apple and Brie calzone! We ordered online but wanted to eat at the restaurant. So they packaged our food which made it a little underwhelming. French fries were not good. Some soggy some Burt and dried. Tasted frozen for sure. My son loved his sub but it was quite a mess when he got it. We would recommend eating at the restaurant and not for take out.

We ordered from here on Grubhub. The prices were great & the food was pretty good too. My biggest gripe would have to be the amount of garlic that's placed in their dishes. Don't get me wrong, I'm half Italian, & I love my garlic. But, the huge portions of garlic cloves that were on the pizza (& my other daughter's spaghetti that's not pictured) is ridiculous. I don't know if it was an off night, with people who don't traditionally make plates, but the garlic was waaay too much. I honestly don't know if I would go back.

Overall, I cannot speak highly enough of the service. I always feel anxious asking for vegan versions at restaurants which don't have anything vegan on the menu, but I felt very at ease here. The staff was extremely professional. They brought me a separate salad, which was some kind of pepper / oil / radish situation. The main dish was a basil & eggplant pasta with red sauce. The noodles themselves were delicious, and I loved the basil & eggplant. I did feel that the sauce was perhaps a bit bland / undersalted, but I suspect that was because of the vegan accommodations. I think the salad suffered for similar reasons. I think they could improve their menu by designing an intentionally vegan main dish, particularly one that was more well-balanced to make up for the lack of cheese (everything else had cheese in it, so I'm assuming that was the problem with my dish). Overall, however, I was very impressed with the service and it was a very positive experience. I appreciate the lengths to which they went to accommodate me.

The wine list is broad and thoughtfully curated, with options that feel approachable whether you're a casual wine drinker or someone looking to try something new. The sommeliers were welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping us find something we loved. The space itself is adorable, with eclectic décor and cozy lighting that makes it easy to settle in and stay awhile. It's a great spot for conversation and a relaxed evening with friends. The only downside is that the space is fairly small, and I would have loved to see one or two more lower seating options for small groups rather than mostly high tops. That said, I could absolutely see us coming back for a pre- or post-theater glass of wine or an easy catch-up night.

The service is awesome--our server was super friendly and gave me a great drink recommendation when I wasn't sure what I wanted. It ended up being perfect. My friend and I shared a glass of the 2023 Cederberg Bukettraube (sweet white wine) and got the charcuterie board for one with the truffle salami. That board was so good--I can't stop thinking about it. The toasted baguette slices with truffle salami and mustard? Unreal. It was the perfect little snack to share. We also had the citrus lavender crème brûlée, which was surprisingly delicious. I don't usually go for crème brûlée, but this one was light, not overly sweet, and just had a really nice flavor. I've also tried their shepherd's pie before and loved it--wish it was still on the menu! The vibe inside is moody and cozy, and they've got a cute outdoor patio too. Overall, such a great spot. A little pricey, but I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend checking out Killer Queen.
