Never ordered form here before. The pizza had very little loppings. There was hardly any sauce and the crust was boring and flat. It was cooked well so I assume that the pizza was their normal pizza offering and what you should expect any day of the week and not the result of a poor employee I would give the pizza a solid 2 stars. The wings on the other hand were burnt to a dried up crisp. There was hardly any Buffalo sauce on them and when I tried to eat them they were hard dry and su ked the moisture out of your mouth. One look at these and any decent employee would know not to send them out but who ever that employee was sent them out anyway. All and all a terrible experience. Ordered a medium pizza half cheese half pepperoni. A gyro and a cheese steak. The food smelled great in the car on the way home. The gyro was pretty damn good. Same with the cheese steak. My kids liked the pizza and tore it up. Five hours later and we're all good. The building is old, but I didn't notice a low food grade, here's hoping they've got a plan to remedy any issues. read more

Stopped by here on our way back from Jordan Lake, and we enjoyed their sandwiches so much. The turkey toasted sub was exactly what I was looking for. I've tried a couple different things from here and haven't loved any of them. Pizza on par with Wegmans take and bake, wings dried out and under sauced like others have mentioned. Did enjoy their meatball sub, and their fries are okay. Did also notice the B grade when I was picking my food up, hope they work to rectify that because I won't be back if they don't. read more

This place is the definition of a hidden gem. It appears to be any old pizza joint, but it's so much more. First of all, the menu is extensive. It covers Mediterranean food to pizza and calzones to burgers and fries to fried chicken. There's tons of options so there's gonna be something for everyone. Second, it's vegetarian friendly. A veggie myself, I can sometimes have a hard time finding REALLY GOOD veggie food at small spots like this. I've had their white pizza (absolutely loaded with toppings and cheese) and the falafel sandwich (crispy falafel with delicious seasonings, fluffy pita, the works). Oh my god, they were both killer!! I really dont know where to start, the only thing I can tell you to get my point and feedback across is to go and try it yourself. As a local and a neighbor, this is by far my favorite restaurant. They have the most TASTY food I have ever had in the triangle area! Their pizza dough is made fresh every day and sometimes they make it twice a day due to the large amount of pizza orders they have. If their hot wings are made by the right person they would be the BEST in durham. And a HUGE PLUS is their friendly, kind, and respectful staff :) I strongly recommend this place, and if you didnt have a great experience you probably went in the wring time, go back again and I would guarantee you will have a much better and pleasing experience the second time! read more

The subs are pretty good, flavor-wise. The pizza I just got was disappointing. I've gotten the chicken sub special a couple of times. I remember it had a nice flavor, however, they could have used a little more meat and it was probably a little too heavy on the mayo for some. The meat lovers pizza I just got was just not good enough to recommend, especially at the price. At $18.25 (including tax), I expect a good pizza. The overall taste was ok, but all the ingredients, especially the meats, seemed to be of low quality. The dough was also under cooked and soggy. The garlic butter on the crust was a nice touch though. Apparently, they haven't updated their menu online, so don't go on those prices. read more

Been living in Durham for over 20 years and just now trying this place out. Passed by it so many times I can't even count. Wanted pizza and wings for dinner tonight so something told me to try this spot. So I did. Looked on Yelp to read the reviews and there were not that many. I was very shocked because I would think that this spot thats been around forever and a day would have more reviews than that. Oh well I tried it anyway. Placed my order for pickup. Wasn't impressed at all by the person who took my order. He didn't ask for my name so I asked him if he wanted my name wIth the order and he said no. That always worries me because that makes me think that your establishment is not real busy so I get a little spooked and start second guessing my decision to order food there. But I pressed on. The place is definitely not one to think highly of but I already knew that. Went inside and immediately wished I could retract my order and just call Marcos and Wingstop and go home. The guy at the register seemed tired and bored but he was pleasant. I would be bored too if I worked there because no one else was there besides whoever was cooking my food. Oh there was a lady and her two little boys who were leaving with their food when I pulled up. The cook brought my food out but didn't say anything to me. I opened the boxes to take a look at my food before leaving and it looked and smelled really good!! Got home and my family and I chowed down. The pizza was really good and the wings were decent. Decent pizza with good flavor, nice cheese and not too oily. The crust is good but wished it was cooked a bit more to get more crispy edges. I tried a few different pies on their menu and they are all good. The one that really wowed me though was the eggplant one. Eggplant was fried to create a good texture balance of being crispy outside and tender inside. It matches well with tomato sauce, onions, and cheese. This review is mainly based on the Mediterranean menu options. Despite just living down the street from this place, I had never stopped in until recently. I had heard rumors around the neighborhood that in addition to their "pizza and subs," they also have Mediterranean food. There is a HUGE lack of Mediterranean food in the Triangle, and especially near downtown Durham. Honestly, it's one of things I miss most from my old city of residence. Anyways, I've tried the falafel, gyro, and hummus. All of them were good, but not the best I've had in my life. The tzaziki sauce is a bit thick for my tastes but I know that the consistency can vary widely. You order at the counter and there is a large adjacent dining room and a comfortable patio. It's plain inside, but very clean. Honestly, I wish this place would expand their Mediterranean menu and run with it. If they focused on that and marketed themselves better, they could probably make a killing in this spot. read more

I got a menu dropped off at my door (since I leave nearby) and finally convinced my wife to try it with me. Very happy we did! We ordered the Gyro & Beef plate, and the falafel plate. Both were excellent. The plates came with salads, the meat/falafel, hummus and pita bread on the side. It was excellent, and I know I'll be going back for more. We also tried the wings (just in case I had a wing craving in the future) and I'm not sure if I'd get 'em again. I ordered a pizza and I also ordered a sandwich and a ginger ale (I've been sick all day, but getting it was not an option). Not only did they not bring my drink (he had to go back and get it bc he was not told to bring one) but he also had minimal change... my food was $22 I paid with a 50, so he didn't have $28? I ended up tipping more than I wanted because of that. Last but not least, I was really looking forward to my steak and cheese sandwich. When I opened it, it was the wrong size, I asked for the small, it had barely any meat, I still can't find the cheese either. I asked for it to have lettuce, tomato, onion, and banana peppers and mushrooms. The only thing on the sandwich was 3 small leaves of lettuce. The bread is also not baked either. I am a server myself, and I just can't believe the carelessness put into this order. I would never allow something to leave my restaurants kitchen looking like this, lacking ingredients. Ok, talk about your bait and switch with the pricing, called 3 separate times trying to figure out the best pizza and deals as down here (we are from Upstate NY) pizzas have typically been overpriced and not that good. Went on Yelp to have some help with choosing. The first time we called asking about specials, we were told they had 2 lg pizzas w/30 wings and a 2 liter soda for $50. Which we thought was high in price. The 2nd time asked about just getting a large cheese and a large Golden was quoted $36. We told them that's more than the website prices and was told the website hasn't been updated. Told them we'd have to call back. We talked it over, decided pizza is the best way to go since my daughter just had her first baby and we had quite a few family members here visiting. Decided to suck it up and pay the $50, called placed our order and when told the total, I couldn't tell if she said 55.20 or 65.20 so I asked "did you say five five point two zero or six five point two zero?" The girl on the phone says 5-5 point 2 0. With the tax. Sooooooo, imagine my surprise when I get the pizza and go to sign the credit card receipt and it's $65.20!!! Of course the delivery guy doesn't know anything, I call and speak to someone and she apologizes for the girl and says it's her 2nd day, says the card is already charged so she can't do anything there and the manager's not there so there's nothing she can do. Says I ordered the party special which before tax and delivery fee (whaaaat??? Which by the way, was never mentioned) it was $57. She says they don't have a special for $50, I say where would we get that number from if we weren't told??? I'm so mad, I don't even know if the pizzas or wings are any good I can't get past the fact that they could care less and basically let me know that's how they do business. Never again. Never. Oh and I did ask my daughters how was the pizza, they said it was mediocre at best. Don't do it. read more

Well, I found this amazing place on Yelp and decided to try, based on the pretty good reviews. Thank goodness I did! I went with my mom and daughter...we ordered three double-meat burgers (all the way) and they were simply delicious! I usually go for the 'safe' menu options when trying a restaurant for the first time, and I must say that those were winners! However, my rating currently stands at a 3-star rating because of the sad customer service. Our cashier was the most "unfriendly" person ever...cold, nonchalant, and just made us feel uncomfortable to even look at the menu -let alone place our order. Needless to say, I am a HUGE advocate for excellent service to match the food. Everything tasted stale and it seemed everything was just bought from a supermarket and sold at the restaurant. Chicken and fries tasted a day old, the bread seemed ready-made instead of kitchen-made and the food almost gave me a stomach upset. Horrible experience.
