Wait time is ridiculous. After having to leave the second time I doubt we'll return. They always seem to be overwhelmed.

I ordered by phone a cheeseburger with mustard and ketchup and fries and she took my name and told me 15 minutes. I arrived in 20 minutes and then waited another 15- 20minutes after having to ask twice about it. I watched as other orders were not right and tickets were missing. Finally I was given a box in a bag and I paid without checking first (my mistake). When I got in the car and looked it was a loaded cheeseburger and tater tots. I took it back in and returned it- the lady with shorter hair said "oh I bet that is his order". The lady cooking asked what I ordered and said she did not have a ticket, but could make it in 5 minutes- by that time I was sadly discouraged and told them no thank you. There is obviously a problem with order taking - so I guess I won't go back. Shame because I really enjoy their burgers. They did start saying they had to give me my money back, but I just walked away telling them I would not return read more

Local home town vibe, as you walk in your greeted and they treat you like a regular/friend. The inside is a typical bar decor with a nice selection of drinks, seating, a digital jukebox, and a few TVs to watch the games. The service was friendly the food was delicious, and came out really fast. My coffee was never empty The coffee was great and fresh The bacon was crispy which is my favorite The eggs were so yolky which is also how I love them, and the hashbrowns were nice and crispy. Pops Bar and Grill is a small place that's in a strip mall just east of the Navy Base in Millington, and one can drive by and never notice the place. First off, this review sure isn't for the ambiance, rest assured, for the rating however, everything thing else went right. Pop's a hole in the wall bar and grill. However, they are a serious establishment. The service and the menu are their strong points. Breakfast is served while they are open. Before warned, the grill top is small and orders get backed up. Today was Fish Day. The menu is basic on Fridays and the pictures tell the story. The fish filets are handed breaded when ordered .... Or they can be ordered grilled, which I did. I'm not much of a fish eater, however, this is is a decent meal for me. The cook throwns down some sliced onions and lemon slices on the fish and that alone is worth its weight in gold. read more

After passing by pop's restaurant for over two years on my way to work, or should I say bar and grill, I finally decided to stop in for lunch. I must say it was surprisingly great! The food was excellent as I ordered a hamburger, it was not greasy. It came with french fries which were not greasy and tasted fresh and crispy. The service was great as it was what it should be for a small locally owned restaurant. Ambience overall was as well would expect a local restaurant to be comfortable and receiving. I will be back for breakfast, lunch, and definitely will let others know about this secret in the Navy Road area. read more

This is the poster child for a mom and pop restaurant. I've only had lunch and breakfast. Great value and a special for lunch everyday. Large portions and reasonable prices. If you go twice you will be family. Go try it. Or not! Nobody paying me to get you there. read more

Clean and repair all your vent fans and outlets. They have good food and the prices are fair, but had to change clothes when I got home.

Placed my order thru Door dash and waited 30 minutes when I got there I said I placed my order online some lady rudely said we don't do online orders we only do door dash I replied yeah that's what I did so I had to wait an additional 30 minutes because nobody saw my order while I was waiting I saw multiple roaches by the bar area so I can only imagine what it's like in the kitchen. I wasn't too sure walking in, because it's definitely a bar which seems odd to go to for breakfast. Plus, it does smell like stale cigarettes. I was quickly pleasantly surprised though! Candy was our server and she was the sweetest woman and made us feel right at home! Nearly 40, and my husband and I were referred to as kiddos which was endearing The food was top notch and we cannot wait to come back to try lunch and dinner! I had the bacon, egg, & cheese sandwich with a side of grits, my husband had the western omelette with hash browns, & we shared a biscuits & gravy. Every single bite was AMAZING! I'm southern and have high expectations for sweet tea and that wasn't very good but I'm chalking it up to a fluke and I can't very well knock off a star for tea when my food was that good! read more

My first visit to Pop's Bar and Grill. The diner was clean and the other patrons were friendly. They were not exceptionally busy. I ordered the scramble which was very good and when it came I decided that was probably not going to be enough to eat (I probably eat too much). So, I ordered a half order of biscuits and gravy. By the time I had finished my breakfast the one waitress said a number of time when she came by my table that she would get more coffee. I had to wait about 10 minutes for a refill on coffee. I never did get my biscuits and gravy. She did note when I went to check out that I never got them but no explanation or apology. I will give them another try but I think they need to do better. read more

Excellent service! Great breakfast and lunch menu which is very affordable. I had the chicken wings with onion rings and side salad. My wife had the fried fish with hush puppies which is god as well. This small restaurant and bar is a locals favorite and very much a military - veteran proud establishment. Beer is very cheap compared to other bars and they also allow patrons to bring your own bottle for a small $4 fee. They also have a jukebox and a bar shuffleboard table to add to the ambiance. read more

Food was absolutely delicious! Newly moved resident from the west coast and have found it difficult to find great breakfast diners. This place is it especially if you are vegetarian! Sonya/Sonia was super sweet and catered my dish to be vegetarian friendly which I appreciated greatly. Do not be fooled by the atmosphere may not look like IHOP/Denny's but food had me sold (21 & older according to signage outside.) I started going to Pops in Millington b/c it was convenient but immediately started wanting to return everyday b/c what I had for lunch yesterday was so good, I had to go try something else! This is clearly where the locals go! Lots of visiting people at other tables & hugging and all the 'old home' conversations. The entire staff is sweet & attentive. There's a daily lunch special in addition to a huge menu of diner style items on top of a gigantic breakfast served all day menu. The portions are so big, I always take home enough for dinner or tomorro's lunch. one of my favorites is the Tuesday Taco lunch specia. It's basically a large plate of nachos with all the items you can't live without on your taco salad. The catfish is on Friday, Club Sandwiches are art work & the BLT is unforgettabl. We always like to ask the locals for a good diner type restaurant that they recommend for breakfast. A lady at the base told us about this jewel! Just down the road from the military base where we are staying is Pop's. Abby was our server - she was sweet and very helpful. My husband ordered the country ham with 3 eggs and hash browns and I the oatmeal. Large portions and tasted great! Jeanne, the owner was just as friendly and her local regulars were as well. Really like this place. If you drink here, you will not leave a stranger. Very amicable atmosphere, and great daily food specials. Does not serve liquor, but I think you can byobottle. Finding the bar can be a little confusing since the front of the bar is rented out as s barber shop during the day. But persevere and you will find this gem of you just pull into the parking lot. read more

We were recommended here for breakfast. We sat there for about 10 minutes before being acknowledged and being offered a drink of water and sweet tea. 5 minutes later we finally got our drinks. Granted we were being patient because there was one server, but when she continued to ignore us and go to customers who came in after us, and then went on a smoke break, it was time to leave. read more
