And, as it developed, it turned out to be a short cut. We missed West Memphis traffic (and the road construction) completely! It didn't look all that open when we arrived, but there was a small "Open" sign in the window and the door was unlocked so we went in. The interior is obviously the work of a Collector, with shelves full of various vintage items. As we were going in, other people began to arrive, which was encouraging. They have a daily plate lunch special. We were there on a Tuesday which is pork chop day. The chop came with field peas, red potatoes, cooked cabbage and a cornbread muffin. My grandchild ordered a BLT. It came with fries. It was all good. The service was prompt, courteous and informative. What more can anyone ask for!
