Edible but nothing spectacular. This place used to be very good until it changed ownership. I had Mac and cheese and stewed tomatoes.

At the Monday night special: All you can eat fried chicken and salad. The one place I have seen…read morethey have pickled eggs as part of the salad bar. On your way to the restaurant you might pass by buggy and horse going down the way. I'll be back.

I have eaten here several times, and while I appreciate that it is a local establishment, the food quality is much closer to what I would expect from a school cafeteria than from a traditional family restaurant. That may sound harsh, but it is honestly how the food comes across to me. The issue is not the service or the cleanliness; it is the quality, presentation, and value of the food itself. One thing I have noticed during my visits is how heavily they promote their "Pot Pie," including advertising on the backs of the servers' shirts that says, "Make Pot Pie Legal." Since Wednesday's special is all-you-can-eat Chicken Pot Pie, I decided to try it. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The presentation was not appealing, and the food looked more like a scoop of gravy and potatoes than what I expected from chicken pot pie. There was very little chicken, chunks of potato, and gravy, but no other identifiable vegetables. I ordered a side of peas and added them myself. There was also no pie crust at all. When I asked about it, I was told that "chicken pie" has crust and "pot pie" does not. I understand there may be a regional distinction, especially in Pennsylvania Dutch-style cooking, where chicken pot pie can refer more to a chicken stew with dough or noodle-like pieces rather than a baked pie with crust. I found that interesting and did not argue the point. That said, even allowing for that distinction, this dish was still disappointing. If it is not meant to have a pie crust, I would still expect a hearty chicken dish with a better balance of chicken, vegetables, and some type of dough, noodle, or dumpling-style element. What I received was mostly potatoes and gravy, with very little chicken. I paid the all-you-can-eat price, but I could not finish the first plate. Overall, the meal was disappointing. In my opinion, the pricing is high compared to the quality. My wife does like their chicken strip salad, which is why we continue to go occasionally, but this particular special is not something I would order again.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Okay first of all the people running this…read moreestablishment could teach most servers a thing or two about high quality customer service and we are from Long Island where you have many competitive restaurants with good service! At first we weren't sure what to expect from reading the menu but let me assure you, everything is made with LOVE. Iykyk. We ended up ditching our reservations at some bougie restaurant to come back here a second time during our stay. The ambiance is cozy, clean, & minimalist. The Amish people are in a lane of their own when it comes to quality. They just nail everything across the board. Might I add that our waitress Amanda was the dearest of souls and her Bible verse attached to the receipt imprinted a memory for me and my husband for all of time.

I'd give this place a 10 if I could! Such a cute place inside. The service was beyond perfect. Our…read morewaitress was very kind and answered all of our questions. We were traveling through on a trip, and didn't know where to stop for dinner. This place got great reviews and I see why! We are from NC, so we had lots of questions about the food. I tried the ham balls and had pasta salad and broccoli salad, and my husband had chicken croquettes with mashed potatoes. They don't skimp on portions, we had so much food left over! For dessert we had Shoo Fly Pie, the waitress was funny as she described it as "boring". It was delicious, but she was right, the flavor was "boring". Overall, you could tell that the food was mostly made from scratch. I would definitely go back if ever in town and would highly recommend this true Amish/Dutch restaurant. Best service and food you'll ever receive!

Had to help a friend out up here in Aberdeen so he treated me to breakfast…read more A very good choice for food as it's a classic diner with very good food. Got their belly buster breakfast as I was super hungry. Two pancakes, 2 French toast, home fries, 3 eggs, 3 sausages, and 3 bacon for $16 currently. A heck of a price for so much good food. Had to get the pancakes to go as I was so stuffed! Overall, good prices, good classic diner food. If I'm up here again, I'll be sure to come back.

Servers were short staffed this day yet they were working the restaurant like pros. Vanilla milkshake didn't feel full but the vintage glass was cute. My BLT was solid they go heavy on the tomatoes though they had like 3 slices and fries were fresh and crispy the old school ketchup bottle really took me back. The chicken and waffles were loaded they surly don't skimp on the protein and fluffy Belgian waffle. Nice strips of bacon you really can't go wrong here. Our server (insert name tbd) bobbed and weaved with impeccable service. The vintage juke box, attractions for the kids and just that homely vibe has the locals coming back for more. I'll for sure come back and try Ed's famous chili when I get the chance
