Ribs were very good Coleslaw and Mac n cheese were both top notch. Wings were meaty and good. Cornbread was tasty but dries out quickly so eat it fast. All in all we would probably order take out from here again when we need a local bbq fix and don't want to do it ourselves.

Good, quick service, the place was a couple of steps above a normal fast food place (very clean compared to other places; music was a titch loud but not obnoxiously so), and the touch screen order system easy to use. And now to the food. First off, the spice levels are no joke. My spouse got through a finger and a half on medium before quitting, though they found it more manageable the more they ate. The hot is HOT, it definitely grabbed my attention. But it wasn't overpowering and didn't detract from the flavor of the chicken. And that chicken is GOOD. Flavorful, juicy, good crisp. One of the best chicken sandwiches I've had, hands down. The waffle fries were good (slightly soggy); dipped in hangry sauce they were very good. Really liked the mac and cheese; cheesy, good texture (better than other places mac and cheese). Wasn't a huge fan of the Texas toast but I had eaten quite a bit by that point. The patties are hearty and the bread is sturdy; able to neatly hold together the large patties, cheese, toppings, and sauce. Definitely a substantial burger. I recommend ordering ahead as the burgers are made to order. The customer service is also good. I like that they offer a good quality fries. The owners also put effort into the design of the truck which adds to the feel that you're getting a high-quality burger and customer experience. I'm glad they now have a brick and mortar. If you can't get out to Tyson's Galleria, the food truck is an excellent alternative.

I personally thought the macaroni, while light, was flavorless. While I get that they don't want to take it away from the flavors of the meat, it kind of felt like eating plain macaroni along with my meat, which was strange. I will admit that I doused my pork BBQ in sauce, which helped with the flavors - otherwise, the entire dish would have been pretty bland. Overall, the meat had a nice texture, but was a little lacking in flavor. My co-worker thought his brisket was pretty fatty - they need to work on the trimmings. I think he liked the mac and cheese more than I did, though, calling it "ok - creamy, not grainy, better than out of the box" (although in my opinion that's not a significant endorsement...) We both agreed that our dishes were greasy - there was a decent amount of oil at the bottom of mine. I placed an order online Thursday night, but the restaurant didn't confirm it so it was cancelled. I had no idea until I showed up twenty five minutes later (something came up) and the food was not at all ready. The food took an additional 25 minutes to be prepared and Josh was working in a backlog already. I think he stopped accepting online orders as a result of getting backed up because I thought about going today and the site was not accepting orders. Currently, Josh is not offering the beef tallow fries, but I hope this is resolved soon. The burgers are halal beef and the beef bacon is halal as well (no option for pork-based bacon). The Smash burgers I ordered was one with beef bacon and one without. I think Josh was trying his best to get the food ready that I didn't feel the burgers were as charred as I would have expected a Smash Burger to be. There is no lettuce or tomatoes on the burger, but it goes come with a heavy helping of caramelized onions and a few slices of pickles. The meat itself was juicy and although the beef bacon was so small (I almost missed it), the flavor of the bacon is very much present. Inside the shared space, there is a very small sitting/standing area with one small table. Mostly people wait in their car for their order to be prepared. I am looking forward to trying Josh's again after he has a chance to overcome all of the kinks new restaurants have and can't wait to try the beef tallow fries.
