Overpriced compared to other Subways; rude/stingy employees.

Feels like you've stepped back to a simpler time pre Internet! -Italiano sub was perfectly balanced and didn't get soggy on their hard Italian bread. May be the best Italian sub I've ever had- the crusty bread was a first for me! -Tacchino sub was good but would be better with some type of pickle. Felt very rich. -two cannolis hand filled to order! The filling had chocolate chips in it. The pastry shell was perfect and not too fried. We've gotten their pizza before too- def recommend! Fantastic crunch and they make their own mozzarella. We also like to get their homemade pizza dough, pizza sauce, mozzarella, ravioli, and pasta for quick weeknight dinners. Their dried pasta selection is impressive and includes gluten free pasta. They are kind, warm, and knowledgeable- I feel very taken care of when I go! Call in your order bc they don't do online ordering. Don't sleep on this gem!

Saturday 1/24/26…read more It's been a little over 2 years since my last visit, and a re-visit was definitely due, so I'm here. I made a call in pick up order and got the chicken parm sub $11.75 and gemellis pepperoni special $24. Also, the service for ordering and picking up was quick and easy. - The chicken parm sub was solid, but the main problem was the lack of tomato sauce. - The pepperoni special was a miss for me, and that's unfortunate cause I remember it being way better last time. It's cheesy, but the lack of tomato sauce and the dough/bread being underwhelming/ weak really ruins the taste experience. Overall, it seems that Gemelli has definitely fallen off in terms of the quality & taste that I've enjoyed previously. Don't know if I'd be back, but I do know that their chicken parm and polpette subs are still worthy choices in my eyes.

The service was good both in person and over the phone. The lady taking my order was helpful and made sure I was all good when picking up the food. - The steak & cheese was alright and was even better with some BBQ sauce. I think the sub could've greatly benefitted from having a house sauce paired with it to make up for the meat's lack of flavorful juices that you would come to expect from a typical Philly. - The seasoned fries were solid, they get the job done. - The fajita melt was solid and the chipotle sauce on it highly elevated the experience. I'm going to need more of that Chipotle sauce, please. - Now I'm more of a hot sub guy over a cold sub guy so I'm testing the waters with the Italian sub. Luckily, the Italian sub is a solid option. It's made very well and the bread is fluffy. Overall, I'd best describe this spot as simple, basic food that's executed very well. If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend a stop for a quick lunch or quick snack.

The only thing that could have made it better is if they warmed the Stacie. The Hottie was toasted and is basically like eating Thanksgiving but in a sandwich. The location in Germantown is a bit hard to find, but there's ample open parking in front of an office building that looks pretty quiet. Physical Exam: Food - I ordered the special four cheese bacon bagel that they had on special with tomato and scallion cream cheese. My wife got a plain bagel with scallion cream cheese. It was all impressively reminiscent of a NY bagel. Great density, chew, and crust. The cream cheese was administered generously. Ambiance - The establishment presents as a classic New York bodega with a deli counter layout -- compact, no-frills, and entirely appropriate for its intended function. Great place if you want something with quick service and great food. Service - Quick, functional, and to the point. No complications noted. Assessment: A neighborhood gem and so thankful we stumbled upon it. Royal Bagel Bakery delivers an authentically New York bagel experience in an otherwise unlikely corner of Germantown, Maryland. One downside is they got very plain coffee, but it's the type of place where I'm looking at the coffee purely as fuel, and nothing more. Plan It's so far away but I definitely will try to go again next time I'm nearby. Specialty bagel was a phenomenal choice. Gotta try their cakes next time, which looked crazy good.
