I have an older Porsche. 1991 928. I needed an extra key made and went to the dealer expecting great things. You'd think with the VIN number and original ignition hardware it'd be a simple thing since Porsche supposedly has great records like Mercedes even for older cars. $171 dollars later the key they got wasn't even close to working. On top of that they never called me because they had THEIR dealership phone number on the paperwork even though I gave them all of my information. I had to call them to get any update. After the first attempt at getting the key they tried again. And again no call when it arrived. I had to call them. Went to pick it up and again fail. The parts guy said he could take a file to the key to try and make it work as they "do that all the time." Really. No offer of any compensation or even a discount. All I got was "well we can try again and order another." It's about a 45 min drive for me to this dealership. I imagine if I had a GT3 my experience would have been much different. Overall this Rocklin dealership was awful. Avoid if possible. read more

Wanted to do something REALLY special for my wife on a significant birthday she has coming up. She's partial to diesel vehicles as we live on a ranch in Texas and she loves the Cayenne. So, I was searching for a "new" 2016 Porsche Cayenne; one that had got caught up in the VW diesel issue and had not yet been sold or titled. Service department is the best I have found yet. David Welling had told me when I first booked the appointment that if I was there by 12:45 he would put me first in line after lunch (12-1). Sure enough I checked in, gave him the keys and asked about l food places within walking distance and he directed me to a couple places within a block or so. The programming of my car took a little bit longer than the initial estimate but they didn't charge extra and brought my car out after washing it and cleaning the windows and inside of the car ! I've driven Porsches for years... It started with a 924, then a 944, then a Cayman, and now a Macan S. The Cayman I bought new from Niello and the Macan S I ordered new from Niello. I think it is exceedingly rare to have a great sales AND a great service experience with the same dealer, but Niello Porsche is able to pull it off effortlessly. I worked with Gus on my Cayman purchase and Candy on my Macan S. The process for purchase was as easy as buying a car new can possibly be with attention to my comfort throughout. Much appreciated! My 2006 Porsche Cayenne has a recall on it. Didn't drive it in to Porsche we towed it in. There was gas on the bottom of the tank car we took pics. I didn't receive a call when it came in. I gave them a call and the gentleman told me it just came in. Ok, great I told him what it was in for. Gas leak. I've received a call because I called them again to check the status. We are waiting on the part. The part came in and I've called again. This time I'm still waiting? Listen, we are a Porsche family I bought not one but 2 Panamera's from this dealership! My husband had a deposit on a Taycan. Send that deposit back! I bought a ridiculous service contract for oil changes with my first Panamera and the service department still charged me! Plus never refunded the credit card I had to give them while they looked into it. You now know why we do not bring our vehicles there for service unless it's a recall. Why do I have to chase a service writer down? I'm not buying another vehicle from this place. Look up that deposit. I will take the check when I pick up my car. Maybe I could get an update on that? Just wanted to say that Louie from service is first class all the way. I have been to some high end dealership and was treated poorly because of the classic elitest types out there. But my experience from start to finish at Niello Porsche was all first class. Hours posted on website do not reflect actual hours which is very troublesome. They don't answer the phone. Impossible to get parts and/or service on the phone. Very frustrated! The only time I had my car serviced and repaired at this dealer the job was incomplete and damage on the top. I avoid this place but forced to used dealer for specific issues. I made an appointment to meet with Candy. I show up but she's not there. The car did not have the options she said it did. I looked and drove it and it seemed nice so we decided to buy it. After signing I was told, "you only get one key". WTF? Have you priced new keys lately? I was promised that their top rate mechanics had gone through the car and that if there was anything wrong the owner was a stand up guy and would take care of the problem. I had to have the satellite radio fixed, buy a full set of floor mats, buy a new $225.00 key and have a cracked CV boot repared at a cost of $995.00! All in the first week of ownership. I recieved an E-mail from the manager asking if the car was ok and I was happy. I e-mailed him back and I e-mailed Candy. No response from either of them or the, " stand up owner". This review is for Internet Sales for used cars at Niello Porsche Rocklin. Once you drive the car away don't expect any after service. I was promised an MBZ license plate bracket for the front of the car I purchased, which was supposedly ordered. I finally got just the lic plates 89 days after buying but no bracket. Two emails went unanswered and after a call I was told I would get a return call about the plates and installation. You guessed it, Never got it. read more

I purchased a pre-owned 2006 Boxster S in incredible shape and I ended up with a blowout the first day driving it; this was no fault of Niello. When I got home, I realized that the car didn't have 19 in. wheels as advertised. I was a little upset, but when I confronted the dealership, they admitted it was an honest mistake and went out of their way to make it right. They offered to install two new tires because of the blowout which was more than generous. Candy sold me the vehicle and was knowledgable, friendly and respectful of my time. Rick in financing has to be the quickest and most efficient finance person I've dealt with - plus he's just a nice guy. He never pressured me into buying extras like most dealerships. In fact, I brought up the extended warranty on my own and purchased it at a fair price. My last Boxster had a major problem that resulted in having to replace the engine. The service department was great and when I had issues with my extended warranty (not Niello's company), they fought with the company on my behalf to get my engine replaced. The engine replacement was superb and I had no issues from that point on. I would highly recommend Niello for their honesty, integrity and expertise when it comes to Porsches. While on our way from the Bay area to Tahoe one weekend the "Oil Level Warning" light came on in our new Porsche Panamera. Fortunately we were close to the Rocklin Porsche dealer so we stopped by their Service Department for assistance. From the moment we pulled in we were treated exceptionally well. The Service Manager came out immediately, greeted us and asked what he could do for us. He took the time to explain what we needed to do and then proceeded to get us the needed oil and fill up the recepticle. I cannot say enough about the Service Manager, Jim, as well as the individual in the parts department that obtained the needed oil for us. We were back on our way to Tahoe in no time. I can only hope that our Service Department in San Jose would treat visitors to their shop as well. read more

As for my second purchase everything started out perfect and on point from my first inquiry to Garrett I had pictures, specs, info and figures within 10 minutes emailed to me. Even when we came down from Northern Nevada to meet with Garrett I walked on the lot with long shabby hair in faded blue jeans and T-shirt looking like well??? Garrett treated my wife and I with the utmost respect. Garrett's professionalism and knowledge of the various model was impressing to say the least. However what was even more impressing was Garrett's sale techniques. Garrett is not the least bit pushy or high pressure. Garrett was honest, patient and very understanding. In addition his only concern was that my wife and I got the car we wanted. It didn't matter new or preowned or the $$$ amount. After all that I still made a hasty bad decision and purchased a car from another dealer. When I spoke with Garrett a few days later and I informed him about my spontaneous and hasty purchase (mistake) he said quote"let me see if there is anything I can do to help you" To my amazement Garrett and Charles were able to get me out of the car I just purchased a week prior and get me into the car my wife originally wanted at a more than fair price. They could have really stuck it to me but instead they treated me with such impathy and really gave me a awesome deal. As a retired business owner I know customer service. Charles, Garrett and Rick went fare beyond any expectations I could have ever dreamed of to make this deal happen. They are absolutely the best there is. I cannot thank them enough. This could have gone either way... I am writing this review on behalf of my 73 year old mom who has a 2000 Boxster. She has been a happy steady customer for more than 10 years. Recently, she had an issue where it was determined this was a result of an over site (a mistake) on Niello's service department 10 months prior. Long story short, after a direct and reasonable conversation with the sales manager we where able to come to a proper resolution. We understand mistakes happen. It was not an easy decision on their part because it required their time and profit to correct. End of story, they did the RIGHT THING.
