Prior to buying my first vehicle from them, I did see the lower rated reviews but chose to give them a shot, and I'm so happy I did. Those reviews don't reflect my experience at all! The vehicles on their lot are all great quality - the truck I just bought was a state fleet vehicle with stellar maintenance records. The first vehicle I bought from them I've had for 4 years and I've never had any issues with it! After my third purchase, I had to leave an overdue review. With just a few questions over the phone, they had my approval within a couple of hours. The vehicle was cleaned, gassed up, and ready to go for me the same day. Drove up from the Bay Area to check out a truck (which, when comparing to Kelly BB and Edmunds, was about $3k overpriced. After inspection found a leaking oil pan, radiator hoses, rust in the bed from a camper shell, and needing new tires. As this put the truck in fair to good condition (as there was NO service records) I made a low offer and they wouldn't even negotiate, even with cash in hand. I guess they truck will just sit there for another month or two taking up space. I have no clue how this business stays in business. Check their vehicles compared to KBB even when using excellent condition (the highest you can select to value a car) for any of their vehicles they are still way overpriced. I have read other reviews on here and Google and they have a common theme... rude, overpriced, only want to work with people with stellar credit and won't budge one bit off of their prices. I experienced a very lackadaisical salesman who didn't seem to care if he sold a vehicle or not. The guy was pretty rude and had an abrasive personality. I wish I would have read the reviews before taking the ride all the way from the east bay. Total waste of time. They will tell you anything to get you to sign the lease. Then once your in, they act like to don't remember you. 90% of the vechicles the sell here are fleet/rentals which means they dont know anything about them. The only thing they do when the get new trucks in is Detail it and butter up the tires. I don't want to give this place anymore of my energy. I purchased an F250 last Friday and the following day the check-engine light came on and the truck was running extremely rough. Since the business was closed on weekends I was wondering how this business was going to respond on Monday. After all, I signed paperwork purchasing a vehicle in "AS-IS" condition, no warranties implied. I called on Monday morning, the salesperson put me on hold, came back and told me to take it to his mechanic in Rocklin. Mind you, it was a 40 minute drive from our shop. Not exactly close. However, this clean, low-mileage truck is a great addition to our growing fleet and I cannot express how thankful I am for their professionalism in dealing with this unfortunate situation. My father came in the day before me and told me about his experience and how the guy at the front had no intentions of showing any respect when it comes to how costumers should be treated. I walked in the next day to see if maybe he was over reacting or maybe who knows, anyone can give off a first bad impression only to find out he was right about the short Bald guy who works the front desk. Not happy with the quality of truck after purchase as WhyBuyNewAutos does not obviously go over the vehicles in which they purchase through auctions to thoroughly. Your better going pre-owned through a dealership as after having to fix the issues the vehicle comes with and not told about is going to bring the vehicle price up to the price of a dealership or maybe more. My husband purchased a white 2009 Chevy Silverado 2500 utility truck in August for our business from Joe the price $30,785.50 cash. He has only driven it for about three months then came down with cancer and parked it. I have not had the time to contact Joe until today explaining the paint on the hood wasn't prepped right and now the original color is coming through Dark Green! It looks horrible! Also the front windshield on the driver side isn't sealed properly and driving over 50mph makes a loud whistling noise. Joe's response was such. " Well I looked it up and we didn't paint the vehicle ect you really have no Recourse. Try calling Chevy and see if they will do something but they probably wont. This place doesn't even deserve one star. My husband and I went in there last week to check out some trucks. We had an H2 to possibly trade. When we asked to take the truck that we were thinking about buying out for a test drive, we were told that they didn't want us to drive their trucks unless they knew there was potential for a deal (meaning, if they could even pay off our truck and get us into theirs). What they seem to forget is that even if they couldn't pay off our truck, what if we were able to sell it and came back to buy a vehicle from there with no trade in. We certainly won't be going there to purchase a truck. Customer service goes a long way for me and this place doesn't have a clue. They can suck it! I bought a chevy dually work truck online and dealt with Joe. Had the truck delivered to our business in SF. Drove the truck at night and none of the lights worked and the overdrive button was not working.. Totally frustrating and dangerous. Called them the next day and talked to some rude salesman (not Joe) who told me I was basically an idiot because I didn't know how to turn the lights on. Who ever you are Mr. Idiot...you should NOT be in sales because you suck. I explained the situation to Joe and he talked to the owner and they said to take it to my local dealer and get everything fixed on their dime ($540). After the second wash paint started peeling off of the side of the vehicle. I then called Dave, the owner to discuss this. He was extremely rude and insulting. My experience with them was as good as it gets, really. I don't live in the area, there were a couple emails and phone calls back and forth and when I made up my mind on the truck I needed, I drove down and picked it up. I was there and gone within a 1/2 hour including a test drive. The staff, Dave and Jodie, were very professional and easy to deal with. They knew I had a couple hours drive back home and they seemed to make it a priority to get me in and out. It seems like I have more money than time these days, so really, what ever they charged for the truck would've been just fine considering how little they required from me to make a smooth purchase. You get what you pay for. I buy a couple different trucks from different places throughout the year and I was impressed with the cleanliness and décor of the place. It had a "good-ol boy" feel to it which was a nice change from dry, damp, pushy sales dealerships. There's all sorts of wall art to gaze at while you're waiting and a couple flat screens. The over all experience was good and the people were nice. If they have what you're looking for, go in there and see if you can leave with it. Well I had a very good experience buying a used 2010 F450 several weeks ago. No pressure sales guy just handed us the keys to take 2 different trucks for a spin around the block. We didn't buy that day, instead we went home and COMBED through ads all over CA, NV, and OR looking for a comparable deal on an F350 or F450 and couldn't find a better price, especially for the immaculate condition of the truck. Lariat deisel 4X4 with only 66k. We heard a noise from the dash and he had his mechanic check it out letting us know it was from the A/C. No problem. Place had a family feel and the woman who helped us with Financing was top notch, very knowledgeable and professional. I would definitely buy another vehicle from them. read more

I purchased a Chevy Express cargo van from whybuynewautos in August, a week after driving it back to Washington i took it thru the car wash and a big piece of paint peeled off the hood down to the bare metal. I then took it to a local body shop and discovered it had been repainted very poorly and not primed correctly. Since then paint has continued to come off the vehicle down to bare metal. It is apparent they did a very cheap paint job to get it out the door. When i called Dave the owner to speak to him about it he was very rude and said he is not required to disclose painting and then hung up the phone on me. Got a good buy on a good truck that would have been hard to find anywhere else. F-250 , Gas Engine. 6.2 L, Super Cab , 8 foot bed and 4 x 4 Got it for $25K which was 3K less than Kelly Blue Book. Don't look for haggling or great customer service, they specialize in purchasing used Fleet trucks and reselling. I am happy with the truck in all regards except for the tires. They put 'new' tires on they said, but they were oversized and an off brand chinese tire which gave me trouble right away. The tire pressure alert went off on my way home and since the trucks are sold 'as is' I did not bother going back. Also noticed that the ride is extraordinarily bumpy, so suspected the tires were not balanced correctly. Sitting at a Ford dealer now having it all looked at and have found that all 4 tires had flat spots that cannot be balanced out and 2 of the tires have bad pressure sensors that have to be replaced. So now going to spend the money I saved on the truck for new tires and sensors, but I still feel it was a good deal overall. Just keep it in mind and ask about the tires when you go. read more

Horrible place. Trucks look good online and are in really bad shape. We drive 2 hours to be really let down. We didnt get any help,so we wandered around... then when we wanted to drive a truck because we drove so far,so why not, they wanted us to talk to their finance person even though we had a pre approval letter, and cash..or we couldnt drive it.They would budge on the price either, the truck had dents, mud under the hood and in the doors...tears all over the interior. So needless to say we left. HUGE let down and very misleading. Id assume the aftermath of buying a truck from here would be a nightmare, considering the service to even buy one is pretty terrible. Relaxed environment. Good employees. I like the dress down attire approach. I'm glad the shirt and tie and slacks type of dealer don't run the place. Otherwise I would feel reserved just like other dealers i visited. These guys showed no pressure and rendered me comfortable. They have a nice waiting area as well. However, more vending machines with geedunk should be installed to keep the kids at bay. Credit checks (in my situation) and loan approval can seem like forever when you wait with restless kids. However, loan approval, negotioation and the contract process took less time it took for the pizza we ordered arrived. Keep up the good service. It's not your typical hole in the wall, corner lot, overpriced truck dealer. Stop looking on craigslist and go see Craig himself. You wont be disappointed. read more

Just be careful with these guys. I travelled 150 miles to purchase a truck from them after searching for one in my area. The price appeared to be fair. I looked over the truck and talked with one of the dealerships salesmen asking about any issues the truck might have. He indicated that all their trucks undergo a detailed 90+ point inspection prior to being offered for sale. Everything appeared okay, tires looked good, with at least 20,000 miles left on them. I purchased the truck and within 140 (didn't even make it home) miles the right rear tire suffered a catastrophic failure on the freeway, almost sending a woman in a Honda driving next to me off the road. The blowout caused $350 damage to the truck ($125 to the exhaust system & $225 to the fender/splash guard). When I arrived home, I checked over the other tires and measured the pressure in each. THEY ALL WERE AT LEAST 30 PSI OVER MAX PRESSURE! (That's 85% over max) I took the truck in to replace all the tires and one of the other tires actually failed when the tire shop was driving it into the garage. So, it cost me an additional $680 for tires I shouldn't have needed at that point, and $350 for body/exhaust repairs. When I talked with the manager who I purchased the truck from, he indicated he needed to discuss this with the owner and he'd get back to me. STILL WAITING! I looked the truck over a little closer and noted that all the wiper blades were bad, the engine was a quart low on oil, etc. I'm just wondering what exactly they checked on this 90+ point inspection??? If you choose to deal with these folks, be sure to check every detail of the truck (as they sure don't!), I am sure wishing I did! read more

This dealer does not even deserve the one star. I visited the place a few times looking for just the right truck. During those visits, no high pressure sales. I thought that was a plus. Finally I found the truck I was looking for. Several years old, low miles, descent condition and decent price. I went in to ask for a test drive. Owner was a bit short with me. I figured he had a bad day, I'd overlook it. Drove the truck. Found that the drivers door had been damaged at some time and was making air noise at 60mph or so. I took it back, was going to let the owner know about the door problem. He just put out his hand for the keys and turned his back on me. I told the sales guy about the problem and let him know if they fixed it, I'd be interested. I went back a couple weeks later to see if we could make a deal. He told me that the door problem was just because it wasn't closed hard enough. Hmm...I have several chevy trucks.... I think I know how to close a door. He did come down a bit, and gave me a quote. I left to think it over. Came back a week later to test drive it again. Somebody else got me the keys. In this trip, never saw owner. When I came back, told sales guy that the door was not fixed. Again, letting them know I'm interested if it was fixed. Called a few days later, owner answered. When I tried to explain who I was and what I was interested in, he cut me off and said he fixed it. Today I went in to finalize the deal. They still had the truck, so I inspected it again. The door had been rigged. The hinges bent. A part was missing. Still in good faith, more than deserved, I went in to see if we could make the purchase. As soon as I walked in the door the owner said "you're the most indecisive person ever". Really? I was floored. My current truck i bought new, is 15 years old with 315000 miles. I told him so, and that when I make up my mind, I stick with it. I asked if I could test drive it again to check the door repair. HE TOLD ME NO!!! He said I had driven it four times already. LIE. He said if I wanted to drive it I'd have to buy it first. I walked out. DO NOT GO THERE. Obviously this is just one vehicle and one example, but yelp is full of similar reviews. read more
