Stumbled across this place on our way to Starbucks, after morning Mass! We decided to try it one day and now we are regulars! I love Port 65. Service is great and the food is good. Ambiance is nice too. I've only eaten breakfast here and the food is so good! Coffee is great too!

    The best blueberry pancakes!

They made it up to me and the second time it was great. Sloan is amazing and really cares about her customers. That is a huge plus.

Marcy's was part of the latter - I had seen the name float around a while, and since the reviews looked great I thought it would be a good place to have breakfast. That being said, I made plans to check it out. Marcy's is a small corner diner, located just off Congress Street near the Portland Museum of Art. It wasn't crowded when I arrived, and immediately got a seat at the counter. The interior is super casual - more casual than an average diner, but is also very welcoming. I can see this place getting crowded/a wait during peak times as there are only a few tables in addition to the counter. The diner is only open for breakfast and lunch, 5 days per week. The menu has several breakfast staples as well as some more creative dishes they concocted. I didn't want to go off the beaten path, so I focused on their breakfast combos which had a mixture of eggs and carbs. I decided on their Number 6 which contained choice eggs (I got scrambled), has browns, choice of breakfast meat (I got sausage), and choice of flavored pancakes (I got blueberry). The breakfast was delicious - the portions are large and I could tell they use quality ingredients. There isn't much more I can say outside of the fact that this was a solid meal with delicious food - it was really everything you want out of a diner breakfast. Service was also great - everyone was friendly and chill; I could tell they get along well and that they put a lot of love into this place. Overall, Marcy's Diner is a yes - there is nothing flashy here, but I had a delicious meal in a friendly, casual environment. I wouldn't hesitate to return the next time I'm in Portland.

I also tried a bite of the biscuits and gravy at the table and they were rich, comforting, and seriously tasty. The drinks were just as impressive. The espresso martini was perfectly balanced, and even the mocktail was refreshing and well made. And our waitress was the sweetest (and honestly the prettiest!). She was so warm and friendly that I'd come back just to chat with her again. Great service, great food, great experience overall. Definitely worth a stop if you're in Portland.

When we finally came during the off season, we thought this would be the perfect opportunity since wait times were shorter. The wait on a Saturday afternoon was about 15-20 minutes. I will say - I had high hopes for Hot Suppa. Between my fiance and I, we ordered the waffle, side of corned beef hash, and the fried green tomatoes eggs benny. The corned beef hash here is excellent - that I do have to acknowledge. I was a bit underwhelmed by the fried green tomatoes though. The tomatoes were just okay, but the excessive hollandaise sauce really just made the whole dish waaay too heavy. It was also just messy. Service was slow & our waitress tended to disappear for long periods of time. Coffee & water refills both took a long time. Parking here is difficult but not impossible. Most spots are only for an hour or so.

I am happy to say that I was completely satisfied this time around. I ordered the wedge salad and she brought me extra dressing. I also ordered the chicken strips and she remembered the extra ranch!! The water was refilled, but not as often as I needed it. My Mom and sister enjoyed the twin lobster plate, although watching them drain the water from was surprising. They both said they had never seen this much water come out!! I forgot what my other sister ordered, but she was happy. We got a high table on the railing, which made all the difference - view and comfortable seats. There was a nice musician playing background and it was really relaxing. It was a bit windy, but that made it more of an adventure!! I will definitely return here again, and will hope for a rail high table seat.
