I bought a 21' Jeep Compass in Feb 24'. From the test drive I felt something wrong in the front end. They "looked it over" a week later and said there was nothing wrong and it is completely safe. 5 months later I called the service department and told them it was getting worse and the service "manager" gave me a attitude. I brought my car to another shop where they found that my front left tire had a broken belt inside and all four tires were 2019 DRY ROTTED tires. My car is a 2021. A couple months later my battery completely dies and I found out it is an ancient battery. Much older than the car. My thought is, they create ways to keep bring to back to the service department by putting old, used or damaged parts in a newer vehicle before selling it. The sales guy was awesome and the buying process was smooth and easy but if your buying a used vehicle from them.... check it over completely and never use the service department. read more

I recently bought a car from this place. It had a small amount of rust on the rear panel of the Honda. When I went to have the pictures taken they had informed me of this & told me that it needed to be addressed. I took the car back, they had blamed me for the rust on the rear panel of the car. This dealer needs a total restructure. The sales people are rude, the service department is horrible. There is no consistency. I bought a journey in 2013 for my wife and we went to the same dealer her friend went to. The sales staff initially were really pleasant them the price discussion came up. There was no wiggle room. No discussion just the stated price no other deals. Tried to walk out and the wife wouldn't let me. The car didn't have a working entertainment system. I brought it back 3 times and they didn't get it right till a fourth time. Then after countless times of long waits they got that fixed. Every oil change takes 4 hours as I have learned unless you tip the staff which I will not do! Today I am on my 6th hour of waiting for new tires and a wheel alignment. This is the last time I will ever come here. These people suck! RUN from them. read more

I purchased an SUV from this dealership. It's been three years since we have had the car. We have had no problem in that time with the car. The process was a bit stressful. I have not bought a car since 2003. I came in with my own financing but that did not work out. Simply because I did not want to put any cash down. I wanted to finance everything. While I feel that I got a good deal on the car and that the car is in very good shape. I do have some things that I take issue with. Our salesperson while a very nice person was not completely knowledgeable about the car we were buying. He knew some basic stuff but not much. My second issue is that I wish the finance person had contacted me as soon as they realized there was going to be an issue with the bank that I chose to finance with. I do not like surprises and frankly I like to do my own research on a company prior to doing business with them. The bank I ended up using through them ended up giving me a better deal than the original company I chose. I would definitely recommend them if your are looking to buy a car. They do not use any high pressure sales tactics, the cars are in very good to excellent condition and they let you take the car on long test drives. You will not believe how many dealers would not allow me to test drive the vehicles, wanted a deposit before the test drive or limited the time I had to test drive it. Okay so I want to let you know that this Jeep Eagle Chrysler dealership is what it says it is it's a respectable honest Company first I went to Milford service department and all they did was give me lies and try to sell me $3,000 worth of work then I called Brian at Port Jervis and he did the best he could and had me in and done by the end of the week if he could have did it sooner i know he would have. Our salesman Nick was friendly and helpful and gave us his personal cell so we'd be able to contact him even when he wasn't at work. Once the sale was done, he showed us how to use the features on the car so I didn't feel rushed out of there. We were there for a few hours start to finish, but the final paperwork took 5 minutes with Larry, the finance manager, and he was happy to explain everything patiently and answer all of our questions. He made sure the car had a full tank of gas before we left, and when we realized we forgot the title of the car we were trading in, he met us near our house and saved us a trip back to PJA. The whole process was stress-free. All three people we dealt with, Nick, Larry, and Derek, an office manager, were easy going and willing to negotiate so that we felt we got a very fair deal. They didn't pull shady stunts that so many other dealers do. I felt they were honest and decent people. I recently purchased a new Jeep traded in my wrangler for it I only had three payments left on my lease. Dealer did not roll my final three payments into next car and know I'm being forced to pay those payments. I was not made aware of this when I traded my car in otherwise I would not have done the deal. Very sneaky!!! I'm truly regretting going here for my vehicle really feeling taken advantage of. If your considering taking your vehicle to Port Jervis Auto Mall's Service Department ~ DONT!!! I scheduled an appointment for today (Friday 8/17/18 @ 7:30 AM) I dropped my vehicle off on THURSDAY NIGHT (8/16/18) The Service Department was supposed to do my 96,000 mile check and secondary to that, look at a creek/sqeak my vehicle was making. By 4:00 pm Friday after still not hearing anything from anyone, I called the Service Department. A woman who answered the Service Department line stated that my vehicle was "just going in" for the squeak....WHAT!@#?$ My husband and I got in his vehicle arriving at Dealer only to learn that not only was the "squeak" not addressed but NOTHING ELSE WAS DONE ON MY VEHICLE AS WELL. In speaking with the owner of this business, who did in fact apologize, he also then blindsided us w/ his service manager calling out and that the mechanic who was assigned to perform the work on my vehicle, well it just happened to be his last day....again I say WHAT!@#?$ sounds more like excuses as opposed to having a good enough reason for me to have been without my vehicle all day long AND to not HAVE A BLESSED THING DONE. My father went to buy my a Jeep Patriot.. it had over 90,000 miles on it so of course wanted to bargain the price. The sales manager told him no way bc they hadn't done a full check on it and if anything needs to be fixed they'd lose money.. idk how they decided a price without checking it, but ok shame on us for being ok with that. But I noticed the oil had been changed and the vehicle was somewhat clean. so had it not been with their mechanics? So we bought this tonka toy of a truck to get me through the winter and within a few days i started hearing a noise .. I brought it a different Jeep dealer and guess what.: the entire engine had to be replaced .. luckily we had a warranty but if they refused bargaining the price to do a full check how did they miss this.. I was without the new winter vehicle for 7 weeks bc Jeep has a very lengthy thorough process to decide if they agree with their certified mechanics .. currently it's making the same noise again and it creaks now too.. not the shocks, so I have no idea .. and I've owned it less then 5 months We had had issues with the finance guy Larry as well.. make sure you have all the info on financing as well bc he won't explain anything to you.. he expects you to know.. even though that's his job.. and if you get mad bc he filled out your agreement wrong he gets nasty.. this place made what was a wonderful gesture from my parents to me into a nightmare .. I bought the extended warranty which covers 5years and 100,000miles,what the dealer NEVER told me was that the 5 years started from the day the car was manufactured not when the car was sold to me. I give this place NO stars.... I drove 29.6 miles to have 2 recalls done on my truck only to get there and be told the computer went down yesterday and they did not know if they would be able to do the job. When I asked why they did not call me yesterday Megan(woman at counter in service) said they did not know if the computers would be working today. I think when you have someone traveling that far they should have called me yesterday and let it be my choice to reschedule. after waiting for 30 minutes she (Megan) calls me back to the counter to tell me its a system wide issue and the computers were still not working, but she could get me in to the Dodge dealer in Warwick now 25 miles away. When I said doesn't system wide mean everyone she said no and she was doing me a courtesy. When I said no a courtesy would have been to call me yesterday and let me make the choice to reschedule she told me to leave. Purchased a New Dodge listed for $31644. They robbed me of the $1500 rebate and a trade in Valued over $5000. Did not notice the error until I had taken the vehicle home. Told me that the rebates are taxable and they get added on to the price of the vehicle. According to the NY Taxation law the trade is not taxable. The way they figure out their paper work I ended up signing papers for $29764. After checking with a couple of other dealers and the State Tax and Finance office the price should have been $26768 a difference of almost $3000. I have tried multiple times to let Port Jervis Auto Mall correct the mistake but they told me that no mistake was made. So If you do not mind giving away your money shop there. I would highly recommend shopping somewhere else. As and informational tidbit they are link with Warwick Dodge and Middletown Nissan. Buyer beware shop at your own risk!!!!!!!!! This auto mall is a 100% rip off. My fiancé bought a 2009 chevy cobalt from there about two years ago. This past year, we brought it back because we were having car trouble. There was a small crack in her transmission. So since we bought it from them we figured we'd bring it back to see if it was under warrantee. They took the cap off looked at it and screwed it on wrong and made a small crack a very very large crack. They told us we'd have to buy a new transmission. So we took it to KnA auto in port jervis and they welded it back together. For only about 300 dollars instead of 2000 dollars for a new transmission. Since then, the car has been falling apart. Everyone I've ever talked to has warned me about port jervis auto mall and about the sketchy business they do. I for one will never ever purchase a vehicle from there ever in my life. read more

Anyway we drove all the way from Pennsylvania shuffled between 3 sales people and given a new guy, who was actually rather frendly and knowledgable, but maybe we took too long to decide on purchase of a new 2013 jeep- guess they need you to decide on a quick purchase in 5 minutes. Anyway, after we decided the sales manager or whatever his function to the company with his 10 years listed experience listed on their site slams the door in our face and is yelling at the sales guy "Are they buying or what"- like my first first reaction was WTF?!! The professonilism that seemed to be there went straight out the door after that. Then this very ancient Bruce person who works the numbers is questioning us with our financing which was approved elsewhere and why not go with their financing- guess he didn't like our response that we were good with our approved loan with our bank, then the kicker the price of $26,000 surprisingly went to $32,000 and he's arguing that what we saw was inaccurate and I can't let you leave here with the price which is clearly listed on the website still at $26,000+ adjusted price. Totally perplexing situation and the poor sales guy just shaking his head and mortified of what was happening. I mean what better example of a bait and switch and just the mannerisms towards the end was so unprofessional!! I have had literally the worst experience over the past two days with this establishment. I came in yesterday afternoon looking for my first car ever and found the perfect car for my budget and requirements. My sales woman was Marie Beals (please don't go to her) and from the beginning she was very rude to me, telling me to "come back and talk to her when i want to buy a car" and was just treating me like a naive young girl. I did fall in love with car and decided i wanted to make the steps towards buying it. As she talked to the finance guy (Brian, again please ask for the other guy) they essentially told me the car was too much money for me and tried to sell me another car. I told them I wanted only the one car, and decided to go home and later received a phone call from Brian. The car was approved and the price was lowered and we set up for me to pick it up the next day (now today) at noon. I show up (i live an hour away) with my boyfriend and our 2 year old son to get the car as we didn't have a babysitter for our baby. Now they tell us that they were just notified that the car needs servicing and wouldn't be able to be picked up until three. Well i have a life and responsibilities and i had to pick up my brother from school as i made that commitment prior thinking I'd have my new car. I had to drive an hour home for my brother and then come back an hour to this facility. Mind you, we still have a two year old in the car. We get back to the Auto Mall at 4 and I am told that the internet is not working and they need it to complete servicing my car. They tell me to wait until 5. We stay local and come back around 5 and are told that we will not be able to get the car at all today and my only options were to take a loaner car or be refunded. I didn't need a loaner car, and i didn't want to be refunded. I wanted to leave with the car I had previously put a huge chunk of money down on and spent all day traveling for. Now you may say "they are just completing your car and making sure it is safe and drivable." It was to fix the recalled radio. Why couldn't you have done that the day before knowing i was coming to purchase this vehicle the next day. The car is overpriced and this situation is not worth it. Please please please save your time and money and go elsewhere! Needless to say, we are hoping to receive this car tomorrow (they promised to drop it off to us this time) and we will see if the car is worth this fuss. But they have ruined my first time car buying experience! read more

Was working with Chris B. through e-mail on the acquisition of a 2018 Dodge Durango. I live over an hour away, so I wanted to make sure all the details were ironed out prior to my appointment so I knew what to expect financially when I got there. We agreed on the sale price (was a fair price in comparison to other dealerships) of the vehicle that showed on the website. I contacted my credit union, and got approved for the auto loan. I sent Chris copies of the checks I was using as my down payment along with copies of the driver's licenses per his request. After all of this, he sent me an email apologizing but that the price of the vehicle is going to be an extra $1,000.00, and there was nothing he can do about it. His e-mail response was contradictory in the reason for the increase as well. Not a good way to earn business. A frustrating experience to say the least. I have had a very bad experience with the repair dept and the manager in this dept. I had taken my car in for repair, paid the 100.00 deductible with my warrenty and after the repair the same light kept coming up that I took it in for in the first place. It took 4 times to repair the car because they could'nt figure out after repairing this and that why it was coming on to begin with. Finally although I asked on the first repair I was given a loaner car for the week long fiasco of the repair number 4". They wanted a mechanic to take my vehicle home to definately be sure that it was truely fixed and I refused. Well that was the burr under the managers saddle and his whole demeaner changed. I was told during these repairs that he would go to bat for me not to pay another co pay. I decided being the owner of the car to contact Chrysler and make a complaint. They in turned contacted him and now hes highly po'd that I did this" now its out of his hands whatever happens with the co pay is between me and jeep." After many phone calls to my worthless case manager at Jeep I am told be her that he, the manager has to call her so that she can have the fee waived. Of course the day that I go to pick up my car he refuses to do that, a big argument insued and the man just went 360 on any ounce of professionalism, argued in the shop with other customers looking on. Did'nt have a shread of decency to take it in privite somewhere. Refused to give me his supervisors name but after about 15 minutes of inuendos he finally told me. Long story short I had to give him the co pay of 100.00 or not get my car so I did then went and stopped payment on the check. After many phone calls and letters to the collection agency he put me in, the check still isnt made good by me and it never will. These people are unprofessional, incapable of fixing the car and praying on the 4th visit that it was and being so unsure that a mechanic has to drive my car home!!! That isnt the kind of business I feel comfortable ever returning to. This is just my experience I do not have intent to discredit this facility in any way . I am merely stating my experience and wish not to deter any one based on my comment from using this facility. read more
