Perfectly pleasant experience here! Good service and tasty food. A beautiful rooftop as well!

When I saw the initial rating I didn't quite believe it but going there I completely understood. The staff was very kind but obviously very overwhelmed. I went there for fundraiser event and it was all over the place . Ordered a couple times and the food never came. Drink orders were a tad wrong. I will say the Margherita Pizza was cooked well just took some time (and when I say time like 30 mins). No disrespect to the team there - the nicest kids just need more support.

Had the large salad of some sort which was good. Then had a decent pizza. I had a sausage pizza which had a lot of hot peppers. Very spicy but I liked it. Didn't even need crushed red peppers. Only issue was the music from the speakers was loud making it hard to talk.

Even though the ambiance here is nice and inviting, the food can be A LOT better! First, the calamari was really bad -- the pieces are tiny and the flavor of calamari is taken over by the saltiness of the breading and jalapeños they put on (real Italian places do NOT put peppers on their calamari!) The pizza is NOT good - the cheese and sauce together make the pie wet and soggy and the sauce isn't that thick. The cheese kind of slipped off the pie and ruined the experience. I did have the eggplant parm and it was pretty good and was built like an eggplant lasagna - but there's too much moz on the layers! We did love the meatballs and they were really tender/soft and the perfect combination. The service was actually really great and they're very attentive. I also think they need to add personal tables for couples that are more quaint and private instead of the whole communal eating set up -- a lot of couples want the privacy of dining in a small space and not out in the middle of the restaurant.

This is a lovely community-esque like restaruant that serves really tasty pizza and pasta. The community vibe comes the communal tables. There are 2 entrances. We entered through the back one and had to walk to the front to find the host desk. It was not too crowded which was nice. There was a family at the other end of the table. Later one, another couple saw at the table as well, but there's enough distance where you can still have a conversation. The service was a bit slow. It did take some time to get the server to the table, but I liked my pasta and my husband liked his pizza. Desserts were a decent size and we'd definitely go back on a chill night.

The pizza here looks good and it tastes ok but the whole composition of the pizza was just horrible. The crust was all soggy and wet and I couldn't even hold a slice without all the toppings sliding off into a big slop on the plate. The restaurant seems to be a popular place with a lot of people coming to hang out and grab drinks but I cannot imagine that people here can rave about the pizza because it was not up to par. It's a shame because the pizza ovens are really top tier but the way the pizzas are made just aren't cutting it despite the pizzas looking good on a plate. Service was also ok as well but not memorable since we barely saw our server.

Tried several dishes but must say that food is ok, most are not memorable. Service is good though. Billy ocean is too tart. It's marked as double portion but it's more like a single person portion. Hence, it's expensive and not worth the price. Pizza is decent. Meatball is better than Italian stallion. Calamari is my favorite appetizer but this is a meh here. Three trees is an unlikely surprise. Big portion and tasted good.

The vibes here are really nice, it's definitely a cool bar/restaurant setup that's great for hanging out. I tried the Bolero Snort pomegranate beer, which was delicious and honestly tasted just like juice. I wanted to love the Carbonara pizza since it's such a novel idea, but the execution was a bit off. It was kind of dry and really needed more of the egg mixed in to make it eatable. I'd come back for the atmosphere and drinks, but might try a different pie next time like the cacio e pepe.

Recently went back to Porta and it is still just OK. The atmosphere is lively and the roof is nice. The food was pretty good; a few menu items were pricey for the final product. They need to work on pizza execution. Both pictures are the carbonara pizza from my last couple experiences. There's always a slice that's overcooked, has no toppings, or is 3" of crust, that no one at the table wants to eat. Lastly, the bar staff acted like they didn't really care to be there. This place has potential if service and execution was worked on.

Really large space - there's plenty of tables and bar seating in the front, downstairs venue space, and a rooftop! Great spot to pop in for happy hours and their musical events. We got the Carbonara pizza, which had a sharp cheese flavor to it that made it less overwhelming/heavy. The 14 1/2 pizza was definitely spicy, so go easy on the red pepper flakes!

Sneaked in for a quick pizza fix to Porta on a Friday evening. Great vibe and atmosphere, we sat on the roof top. Service was good and quick. Pizza was nice, would have loved some more sauce on mine, but enjoyed it nonetheless.

After being multiple times, can say with certainty this place is mid (Asbury and Montclair and better for sure). The pizza is decent but would stay away from the corn pie - rather flavorless. Chicken cutlets were a bit dry. Definitely recommend the meatballs, sausage and mozzarella. Service is usually a miss (no silverware, asking multiple times for things before they arrive, etc). My biggest gripe is they're extremely cheap about the air conditioning inside. A few weeks back I had a reservation and after being seated we decided to leave because there was no AC on and the pizza ovens are letting off so much heat. Not sure how the staff is able to even deal with it to be honest.

The server we had, along with the runners we had, were all quite lackluster and seemed to just want to turn the table quickly. For a place with so much buzz and good pizza to back it up, one would think that the servers would be more excited or happier to work there. Foodwise, the pizza is good - they really deliver on the quality of the ingredients. Excited to try a new restaurant, my party of two ordered 3 pies (their pies are slightly larger than personal pies and eats light). The dough to the pizza is top notch. The pizza is thin but has a good chew to it and I appreciated that the roll of the dough is slightly different depending on what toppings they're holding. For example, the burrata (which was more like stracietella and not burrata) was thinner than the funghi that had heavier toppings. The flavor of the pizzas were well balanced. The shaved onions on the Funghi and Santo pie gave the flavors a lot more depth than other mushroom and sausage pies at other pizzerias. The pies itself ate light and were fluffy with a slight chew, which we really liked. I also like that the dough was seasoned and flavorful. The salad was disappointing though. The $18 kale Caesar was not only bland but the kale was rough and tough. It needed some more massaging to tenderize the leaves. While it was dusted with a good amount of parm, you couldn't really taste anything as it lacked salt and acid. The meatballs were ok. They had good flavor and were tender; perhaps a little too tender? The sauce was excellent but the meatball itself was missing just a little texture. All in all, Razza is a solid 3.5 - I prefer better service from restaurants that charge $25+ for personal size pizzas. Should I be in the neighborhood, we may give it another go, but there are certainly places with the same or better quality of pizza and better service through the other side of the tunnel.

I asked the owner a simple question about the frosting on a cake because I wanted to understand the ingredients for allergy reasons. The cakes are personally made by the owner, so there is no packaged bakery label that I could simply look at. I was asking a reasonable question about food I was considering giving my child. Instead of simply answering my question, the owner became extremely rude and belittling toward me and went off on me in front of my young son and other people in the restaurant. During the interaction, the owner told me herself how stressful and difficult it was to be behind the counter and run the establishment as she was short handed because her staff keeps quitting. I genuinely tried to be supportive. I told her that I wanted women to win, regardless of their shade, and I offered to help her stock her shelves for free because I wasn't busy. She declined and said she did not need my help. Before that, however, she had asked me what I did for a living and what companies I worked for. She then told me that what I do for a living was nothing compared to what she does. That interaction was deeply disrespectful. She had no idea who I was, what my professional background was, or what I could contribute, yet she made assumptions about me and diminished my work after questioning me about it. As a Brown woman, I experienced the way I was treated as racially motivated. I cannot speak to what was in her mind, but I can speak to what happened to me and how I experienced it. What happened afterward made the experience even more concerning. The owner sent me a private message attacking my character, calling me "strange," dismissing my professional experience, and telling me that I needed therapy for my "stress and anger issues." She also criticized the way I supposedly speak to my child and used that to make judgments about my character. That accusation is particularly disturbing because she did not witness me speaking to my child in the inappropriate manner she described. That did not happen. She made an assumption about my parenting and presented it as though she had witnessed something inappropriate when she did not. There is also a contradiction in her comments about stress. During our interaction, she was the one who told me that running the business and being behind the counter was stressful and difficult. Rather than responding to my feedback about how I experienced her behavior, she later used "stress and anger issues" to attack me personally. I am sharing this review because I believe people deserve to know the full context of my experience. Customers should be able to ask reasonable questions about ingredients, especially when allergies are involved, without being belittled, questioned about their profession, having their work diminished, or being personally attacked. I came into this establishment willing to support another woman-owned business. I left feeling deeply disrespected and, as a Brown woman, concerned about how I was treated. I will not be returning.
