Finally, the owner of shop #3 referred me to Wolf Tire & Muffler. I am SO glad he did. I explained I was from out of state, traveling home, and could they fix it soon. They made a call, I presume to check on parts, and said "Sure, bring it in and we'll take care of it!" I was there a short time later. They were so nice and accommodating. Shortly after the part was delivered they got right to it, fixed it, and charged me a very fair price considering I was done and driving away (smiling) just 2 hours after arriving. These are good people who really know their stuff. Recommended!

My wife went in today and was hassled by their lead tech (Adam) and not given this discount today. This person was rude and dismissive of her, and for that reason, we will never be using a Take 5 again. We just recently moved back to this area from Virginia and for the 6+ years we have been giving them our business, not once have we ever had this issue. My identification paperwork was sent to her and they still denied it. We even had a promotion from Valvoline which would have been a cheaper route to go but we chose Take 5 due to past experiences. Never again will any of our vehicles enter any Take 5 location. I would advise taking your vehicle anywhere else besides this location, especially if you are a veteran.

I went to Walmart Automotive on the East Side of Morristown, TN yesterday (11-02-2024) to buy a new…read moreBattery. I signed in and said I wanted to purchase their $61 battery. I waited an hour or so and a mechanic (Art) told me the preferred battery for my car was their #96R battery which was $101. I asked if I could buy their #24H battery which was a $61 battery. Art said he would check the dimensions of the #24H battery. Art said the #24 battery would fit my car and I asked him to install it. Art said I could buy the #24H battery and install it at home but because it was not the recommended battery it would have no warranty. Art also said that he could install the battery but it would cost me $15 (installation is normally free) but it would not have any warranty since it was not the preferred battery. The preferred $96R battery had 590 Cold Cranking Amps and the #24R battery I wanted to purchase had 585 Cold Cranking Amps so it had basically the same Cold Cranking Amps (585 CCA vs 590 CCA). I have never had this problem before when purchasing a car battery from Walmart and I always purchase the least expensive battery that will fit my car. Because of Walmart's Auto "change in policy" relating to buying a battery from them I will not purchase another battery from Walmart on the East end of Morristown. If other Walmart Auto stores has the same policy I will not be buying any more batteries from Walmart Auto at all. I recommend that anyone needing a car battery to call Walmart in advance and check on their battery sales policy! PS: I Was at Walmart Auto 2.5 hours attempting to buy a car battery. It shouldn't take over 30 minutes at the most to get a car battery installed!

Took my RAM 3500 Diesel in for service and they apparently overfilled it with oil. No immediate…read moreproblems, but over time this caused over $5000.00 of damage to the DPF, EGR, and CCV parts of the emissions system. Took the truck to the dealer and they indicated that it was damaged from being overfilled. I reached out to Valvoline for a remedy, and after almost a week of little to no updates am informed that they will not cover that. They are the only place to touch the oil on this truck. They do not deny overfilling it, just that it did not appear right away so they won't cover it. No more "quick" oil changes for me.
