    Spicy Chicken Sandwich

This is my go-to location to enjoy Portillo's. The drive through isn't the largest but the line always moves quick. Drive through staff could smile a bit more but are pretty accurate to get your order correct. I love ordering my fries well done so they're crispy and it's a 50/50 chance they actually do it. Either way, Portillo's always hits the spot and food orders are consistent. I love their hotdogs/fries and my husband enjoys their beef, burgers, and spicy chicken sandwich! Tip: Drive through is card only; no cash.

Service is in point, and the accuracy on your orders. The restaurant is clean, and soda machine is self service. I had the Chopped salad with Parmesan cheese instead of the blue cheese and all modifications were on point. Tried the onions rings and they were crispy but unfortunately they have no onion ring sauce.

Drive through staff needs training big time. They are young inexperienced people who need training. They are so bad that cars are backed up for a far. They don't know how to move up cars to keep the line flowing at a timely pace. Horrible service

Steven is so sweet he gave Natalie some Portillos Stickers! He really made her day! Not surprised why this is one of her favorite restaurants! We will continue eating here at least once a week if not more! Sorry the below was not posted from our last visit, so I am added the above to this one. Today my husband and I had a taste for Portillo's cheeseburgers and fries. When we approached the register to place our order, we were waited on by Brittany. She is so pleasant and kind and she really interacted well with my 8 year old daughter. She gave her a paper hat, a temporary tattoo, and the cutest cup keychain. My daughter was so happy, Brittany really made her day a happy one! We need more people like Brittany in the world! We noticed the dining room has new blue and red chairs! They look beautiful! It is nice to see them keeping the restaurant looking clean and nice! We eat here weekly and will continue doing so!

This location is closer to the AMC theatre and we stopped here to grab a quick bite. Got Veggie Dogs l, fries and onion rings with cheese sauce. Garden salad with the house sauce is my personal favorite. Love Potillo's

Italian Beef dry as a bone and there was no beef on this sandwich we ordered the Big Italian Beef 10.70 And the onion ring horrible !

The food was just horrible - Paid 60 dollars for the following One BIG BEEF ( no beef on sandwich) Onion ring and fries and chopped salad which driver forgot ! Never again - 60 dollars! Have some pride people !!

I just got the ribs and there was not one bite where you did not hit slimy fat. Also the time before we picked up the beef was the skimpiest I have ever seen. Hardly any beef mostly bread.

Went via the drive through for lunch around 12pm and thankfully the wait time wasn't as bad as I'd expected. It went fairly quick. We ordered a chopped salad and a hot dog with everything. Both were good! I do appreciate them adding bread, butter and having 2 dressings included for the salad. Napkins were given which is always a plus. If you can avoid 12-1pm I would, but of course naturally that's the lunch rush haha.

I came to visit family and wanted so much to try this place as I heard it was good. I have to say this place is always hopping and the food is fresh and hot w/customer service good. I had the jumbo Portillo dog and it didn't disappoint. Now the fries could use a little work but that's only my personal taste though as I like them Just a little crispier. The atmosphere gives you a 50's type vibe. But all in all very good and didn't disappoint.

Supposed to be beef sandwich thought it was a hotdog

For some reason after I got my food, it became extremely busy, like people were waiting for tables to eat at. They have a bathroom or two, you have to go through the back of the kitchen. The parking lot when it's not super busy is spacious. I think they have about 9 tables, give or take. I ordered the Italian beef (dipped, hot peppers on the side, sweet peppers on top, and mozzarella cheese) and the original famous hot dog. I got a large Pepsi but it was jumbo size compared to most places. The Italian beef was very juicy. The giardiniera is mildly hot, not as hot as what people say. I liked that they gave me a ton of cheese and the sweet peppers were large. This is the real gem not the hot dog in my book. The original hot dog had a nice bite to it but it wasn't amazing. The fries were hand cut and crunchy. They give you a moderate amount of fries. Service was very friendly and fast. 4.4 on Google is more accurate to the experience than the 3.5 on Yelp.

However, as luck would have it, I was running errands so returning to The Original Nana's had to be added to my list. The location is very easy to find. I actually missed the turn into the location but I had to do a quick U-turn. I arrived shortly after they opened but parking was no issue. They also have a drive thru if that is a better option for you. I entered the building and I am glad to see nothing big has changed since I attended almost 10 years ago. I ordered the combo of two hot dogs and a drink. This location does serve the depression hot dog, and not your traditional hot dog. However, I am sure they can build one for you with the optional toppings. Here.. their "Everything on it" is only onions, mustard and relish...and a fist or two full of fries which is all wrapped up. The fries tasted as good as I remember. They do allow ketchup and there were a few bottles around the place to get some. The hot dogs were also as delicious as I remember. It still has the amazing snap and I am glad to see nothing has changed. I wish I lived closed to this location as I would attend more often, but I am happy to see this place has changed nothing since the last 10 years.

It was empty when it arrived, but filled up on our way out, telling me it's a popular place for the younger crowd. Either way, you know you're in for a good meal when you see the huge doner rotisserie spinning. The owner (at least I'm pretty sure he was the owner) helpfully walked us through their sauce selection and even offered my MIL some sauce samples. She ended up getting the hot dog with veggies, while my wife and I got sandwich combos (17 for the sandwich + 3.50 for fries and a drink). I was going to share my combo with my preschooler since they don't have a kids meal, but the owner thoughtfully offered some fries with chicken for him. We definitely had to tip well for such nice service. So this is no ordinary sandwich, and the pictures don't do it justice. In pics it looks kind of like a pita pocket, but this thing has some HEFT. Filled with veggies, meat, and sauce, it got a little messy but was really tasty. The veggies were fresh, and it's hard to top meat sliced right off the log. My MIL said her unique hot dog was good as well. To me it looked like a Chicago dog from another dimension, but I also want to give it a try next time. Protip: Ask for your sauces on the side. They're almost too generous with it on the sandwich so it's nice to have a little more control with it. This will definitely enter the rotation and will be letting our friends know as well. Great stuff!

The bread is a large and rustic pita pocket. The beef is great, slices off the spit. And the load of veggies with sauce round out the sandwich. The veggies (called salad in the menu) consist of lettuce, cabbage, onion, tomato, and cucumber. You can choose between beef, chicken, or both. And the sauces consist of garlic, herb, or spicy. The counter service is fine... they make everything to order, so it does take a bit of time and it can be a little bit of a wait with orders ahead of you. The place is a typical strip mall fast food place with a handful of tables and some black and white pictures on the wall. Not fancy or crazy, but clean and inviting.

As always, when a restaurant you once loved gets new owners, you never know what to expect. However, I was pleasantly surprised! The food tasted almost exactly like how I remembered. We got two cheese dogs, one with just cheese and ketchup and one with cheese, ketchup, mustard relish and tomato. We also got cheese fries and onion rings (onion rings not pictured). The portions are nice and a small order for the onion rings and cheese fry were the perfect size for my mom and I to split. The cheese sauce is not just an artificial nacho cheese and was the perfect compliment. The onion ring batter was not greasy and had the perfect crunch. The inside was clean and updated. This is the standard "hole in the wall" set up that is perfect for locals. It's not crowded with tables, since there are about 6 true booths and then higher tops along the back wall. I could imagine it may be difficult to find seating on a Friday or Saturday night when it's busier, so be prepared. The pricing is a little different than it used to be, but everything in the world is now more expensive so can't complain! That being said- the pricing isn't ridiculous, it was $26 for all our food and drinks. I'd say this is very doable considering the area we live in isn't super cheap. The service was quick considering the food is made to order and not just sitting out. We waited about 10 minutes for our food and that was with 3 orders in front of us. My only recommendations would be: 1. I wish when I checked out they would have told me the bun for the cheese dog is plain and not poppy seed. My mom ordered a Chicago style dog with cheese sauce so hers was poppyseed, whereas mine was just plain. The food was still tasty though so I'm not upset! 2. I wish the cheese sauce cup was just slightly larger but there was still a decent amount 3. I was a little confused upon arrival because the menu wraps around the front of the cashier- not a big deal, I just lacked awareness :) Overall, my food was great, the quality was there, I walked out full and satisfied and had a great experience! I will definitely be going back, which I'm glad about because this was once a family favorite and I'm happy to keep it that way!
