PF Burger is situated in the back of a non-descript strip mall with no visible sign other than…read morethose in their windows. It seemed odd, but the inside was much more normal looking. The people working there seemed friendly, and they have an open kitchen, which I like. I am not very familiar with Venezuelan food, but many of the options here were still quite familiar. Their menu is quite large, and what stood out to me is how expensive everything was! For the type of food being served and the atmosphere (diner like), and self-service (go get your own food when it is called), I expected a more reasonable price. The other thing that surprised me was the wait time. Even when not busy, the food will easily take 15+ minutes without ordering anything too exotic. All that being said, the food was very good, and unique. I did find it to be a tad salty and greasy for my liking, but overall, I had no issues with the food, and found it enjoyable. The wait time and prices will probably keep this place from being somewhere I would frequent, but I still think it is worth trying if you are in the area and looking for something different.

Like many restaurants, Luck Monk offers their regular menu, plus flyers on their specials, including beers and cocktails. Four days later, I went right back there again on my own, to formally review it with photos. I had to go with that same peppercorn burger, because it was just so good, and to make sure the first time was a fluke. It wasn't. I tried out their chili as well, which was also good. This chef knows what he is doing. This stand alone restaurant is easy to get to, and has ample parking. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and looks high end, though I found the pricing to be reasonable. It would be a great spot to take clients for a business lunch. Honestly..these could make an argument for being "World Famous." Although their BBQ sauce is slightly on the sweeter side, it is still quite tasty and the meat falls right off the bone. Our server was super friendly and he did a good job stopping by on us to make sure our dining experience was overall going well. Lots of locals come in; families, friendly folk, workers, and couples bringing their kids regularly. And a place I come back to regularly. I've had the double cheeseburgers... spectacular. The tacos are excellent too, especially with a little onion, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime. Of course, you can't go wrong with a Chicago-style hot dog, always great. The gyros are savory, flavorful and plenty. They really hit the spot. There's so much meat that I sometimes pop over to ALDI afterward just to grab a flatbread and make a second gyro from the leftovers. And I always ask for extra tzatziki sauce to dip my fries in. All in all, a great local spot. They're always adding new items to the menu. They now have handmade tamales made in-house, great masa wrapped in a proper corn husk.
