They have a good variety of beers both local and national. I had their mushroom and goat cheese pizza. Plenty of goat cheese, but the mushrooms got lost. Hubby had the brisket chili and it was really good. It came with what looked like 2 orders of tortilla chips. A few days later, we had a large pepperoni with fresh mozzarella and basil. I have found my new pizza love!! Huge pieces of pepperoni, slabs of mozzarella and delicious chunky red sauce. I will definitely be ordering that again! Saw the bad reviews after we got here and have to say, that was not representative of our experience. We were greeted with smiles and our server, Gianna, was an absolute gem. She hustled, paid attention to small details (like remembering to add a line in my drink refill), and was very friendly. We tried the Parmesan Garlic wings and they were slightly over sauced - though that might be just a preference thing on our part. The pies were decently done, while not the absolute best, omg I would die if I didn't have it, pie - they have some creative offerings that were tasty and well prepared. Our appetizers were very good. Only one server who waited on all tables near bar area and also bartended. It was busy. Not sure why this restaurant did not have more people on a Friday? He worked his butt off and was very friendly so that made up for the slower service we received. I will return to try the pizza. We purposely looked for a restaurant outside of the high priced options in Kennebunkport and landed on The Portland Pie Company. We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by Kelsey. She has a nice energy and a knack for playing off the various patron personalities. My husband had the Downeast on a brioche bun with their chips. He was a happy camper. There was a huge pile of what appears to be burn breading in the corner of the take out container as well as all through the bottom. If your bad review has to do with lack of staff, you should probably look around and realize it's a problem everywhere. They often have people covering the bar that aren't even allowed to pour beers because they're not of age and will grab a manager to do that... this is where we're at. That being said, you do need to know what's good here and what's bad. Salads - usually mediocre and not a good bet. As a wing fan, I also find theirs terrible, but last I checked they bake everything, no fryer. The pizza, some of the sandwiches, and even the burger are not bad at all. I appreciate that despite the lack of staff, they do their best to stay open afternoon hours. More than once I've tried to meet a friend at the brewery next door, but they aren't open yet, and we pop into Portland Pie instead and it's cool, the beer is fresh, the staff is friendly, and there's usually a game on. Mixed thoughts. Warning! avoid delivery. Every time we have ordered delivery, it was a huge issue. Last night for example - ordered a steak salad and a sandwich at 830pm. We were told 45-60 mins for delivery. By 10 (when they close) still no order. I called and I was told they were short staffed and somehow, the order wasnt completed properly. They said they would "refire" the order and send out. I will say, the 2 employees I dealt with were very accommodating (Phil and Riley) and tried to make us happy, it was just another disappointment. $15 for a steak salad that was very pathetic (see photo). There was barely any steak, it was dry and over cooked as well as mostly gristle. The sandwich (Peaks Island) was soggy. It had obviously been sitting for a while...anyway, just another bad delivery service and the food wasnt even up to par, considering we had other good experiences with take-out and dine-in. On a precious delivery, the driver went to the wrong house and left. When we did finally get our order, the plastic wrapping was left on the pepperoni. So we had a pizza with melted plastic. Not great. They did comp it (as they should have) and delivered a plastic-free pie. Some positives-the beet salad is really good and there are several specialty pizzas we have liked. But it's been hit or miss some days. So we definitely wont make Portland Pie and choice in Biddeford any longer read more

New to Biddeford! My boyfriend and I were craving pizza & I wanted to try out Portland Pie for my first time! It wasn't busy & we sat in the bar area. Kelsey waited on us & was our bartender this afternoon. She took a few minutes to get to us, however she was finishing up with a large party- so as a server myself (I get it). Her service was efficient & I like her taste. She was knowledgeable about the menu /drinks, and honest. We shared a Caesar salad in house & ordered pizzas to go. The salad took awhile to come out & wasn't hearty as I hoped. Was delicious- just wish there was more! Our pizzas were tasty! We ordered the Pawtuckaway 14" pizza & a margarita 16" pizza (they were both $22.99, Was told additional toppings are $2.25 each -for reference). Overall we got what we were craving & I'm excited to explore more of the menu. In the future I'd like to see more disclosure on pricing & when it's not busy - more efficient cook times! Mid pandemic review time! Wife and I were in town for a short day, and opted for Portland Pie for lunch. We ordered 2 calzones to go. Service was pleasant, even though they were clearly understaffed (like everyone else!) The calzones were good. Not great, but solid. I think my only complaint is that they were very wet, and not cut at all. We didn't have utensils, and these were decidedly unwieldy to eat by hand. For me, half the point of a calzones is that it should not require a fork and knife. It's hand pizza, like how a British pastie is intended to be a hand held meat pie. Overall, I'll give Portland Pie a solid 4 stars. Decent enough, but with a little room for improvement. We'll try them again post-pandemic and see if it gets better! read more

It's hot, moist, good any time of day, great the day after, and satisfying with every bite. But instead of getting pregnant, you'll get a big belly if you do it to often. In all seriousness, they have a great selection of creative pizza (including a design your own, if you want something straightforward), salads, and beer. Great atmosphere and a good time guaranteed. They cancelled our order 45 minutes after it was supposed to be delivered. Would not recommend.

It started off fine with the host and server, this was a not a busy night when we came. Two other tables got sat after us, and we waited for about 35 minutes after our appetizer. During that 35 minutes, they were able to make three pizzas for one table & two pasta dishes for another table. THEN they were able to make a whole other pizza to correct someone else's pizza, before they brought out ours. We ended up getting our pizza to go, and left unhappy with our first experience. I've given a great review in the past but I honestly don't know what happened to this location in the last year. I decided to order delivery for the first time since I suffer from long term COVID, and getting out is hard/exhausting to do. I ordered my usual which is the arugula with 3 types of mushroom and goat cheese. I sat waiting with my phone for the call to tell me it's downstairs, or even a curtesy door bell ring. I had waited quite a while and still nothing. I get a text message from my neighbor downstairs who had come home from work, saying there was pizza left on the BOTTOM stair in front of the building. Her husband graciously brought it up for me but all the food was cold and the cheese was hardened by this time. WHY wasn't there a call or doorbell ring? I love pizza. Like, a little too much. Our family does pizza every Friday night and has for the past ten years. It's a thing for us. We missed our normal Friday night pizza so we decided to try a sit down place Saturday for lunch. The pizza here is very good. I love all the options, I love the specialty pizzas, there were a lot of unique food options. We got a seasonal pizza, BBQ Brisket and a half cheese half pepperoni (kids, that's a staple order). The BBQ Brisket pizza was good, but man the Brisket was not that good. It was very dry and lacked flavor. I have lived in the South for years, that is not how Brisket is done. However, the crust was awesome (we got beer crust for both pizzas). Our roasted brussel sprouts with garlic cream sauce was super good and one of my kids ate them, willingly, and loved them. So that's a win. Our waiter was not the most attentive. I was not very impressed with our service. I do not like getting to a point where I'm wondering where the waiter has gone. I am not picky, and am generally patient but that was definitely frustrating. The pizza was fantastic, the service was ehhh but I know we will try it again.
