    Cheese pizza from Rocco's OOB
    Joseph W.

Debate settled in my opinion. I'm a big pizza lover. Bills has good flavor and the pizza is not too thick, but the crust seems like it comes in frozen and does not taste that great by itself. However, of the 3 pizza joints downtown OOB, Bill's is 2/3. Lisa's is 3/3 (too thick and doesn't taste great) and Rocco's wins #1 hands down! Flavor is solid both sauce and cheese and the pizza has a nice thin fresh tasting crust with nice crunch. And the dough is stretched right in house. Thats my kinda pie!! All places are walk up so no comment on the atmosphere except that the area is really busy. Love OOB!

Pizza pizza pizza. Ok so I tried Bills and Lisas before I had a slice of Rocco's pizza. I'll have to say I love pizza so I liked all three of them but the winner is Rocco's! Thin slice and crispy just like you would expect to eat on the east coast. This would be my go to pizza every time!!

If you're looking for some American-Italian style pizza at Old Orchard, this is the spot. Crust-sauce-cheese ratio was pretty much perfect and even though we got slices, they weren't stale like at some other places at OOB. They were reheated in the oven to the point that they were nice and melty and pretty much indistinguishable from having a slice from a whole fresh pie. I also always appreciate the end crust being fluffy. Will come again!

Love the slices here! Thin and crispy. Just the right amount of sauce an cheese and not that greasy cheese either. If you like pizza and are at oob, stop and get a slice. Friendly staff.

Rocco's is the only pizza worth eating in OOB. Perfectly cooked NY style pizza, we don't know how the other places remain in business unless it's because people don't want to wait in line at Rocco's. To be fair, we went to Bill's and Lisa's and there's no comparison. Rocco's is the gold standard all pizza places should aspire to. My fiancé took a bite before I was able to and I was able to actually hear the crunch of that heavenly crust. I'm salivating just thinking about it. We went to Rocco's three times and got a large on our last night. Service was fast and friendly. This is the only reason I want to go to OOB every year.

We come here every year for a week. If you get pizza from anywhere else at OOB then you are doing it wrong. Period.

You're…read moremet with the lingering scent of beer soaked into the floor from nights that were clearly busier than anyone could properly manage. Now, most people would interpret that as neglect. But that's not quite right. It's evidence. Evidence that this is a place that has been tested, repeatedly, and continues to operate under pressure. And strangely enough, that inspires a certain confidence. You know, almost immediately, the drinks are going to be done properly. I ordered something simple. chicken fingers with buffalo sauce and bleu cheese. Nothing remarkable, and that's precisely the point. They weren't trying to reinvent anything. They were just... competent. And competence, especially in an environment that borders on chaos, is not trivial. It's reliability. It's order, holding its ground. The service reflected that same tension. Reese, the bartender, was clearly under strain. busy to the point where most people would start to fracture, but she didn't. She held the line. And if you've spent enough time in this industry, you know that's not easy to do. There's something almost admirable about watching someone maintain composure when everything around them is loud, demanding, and slightly out of control. And that's really the essence of the place. It's loud... almost aggressively so. Packed. Borderline unruly. At one point, there was a couple engaged in what was clearly a volatile argument... infidelity, perhaps? but the noise swallowed the details. It didn't matter. The specifics were irrelevant. What you were witnessing was raw human behavior, unfiltered, playing out in real time. And oddly enough, it fit perfectly. This is not a place for quiet reflection or carefully structured conversation. It's a place where order and chaos collide and neither one fully wins. But if you're the kind of person who can tolerate that, or even enjoy it... there's something undeniably compelling about it. If you want quiet, look elsewhere. But if you're willing to step into something louder, messier, and far more alive, then this place offers exactly that. It's not refined. It's not restrained. It's something closer to a modern day bacchanal. And for better or worse, that's the point.
