Porto Brasil is one of a few Brazilian churrascarias in the area, and is a good place to start if you're looking to get into Brazilian food. You have the option to do an all you can eat buffet, or pay by the pound. Included in the experience is a selection of different meats that get cooked right in front of you, it's a beautiful sight. I love this concept, and this type of food, but the selection and the food itself is inconsistent. The main attraction of the restaurant are the grilled meats, so this is the area that is essential for the restaurant. My favorites at Brazilian steakhouses are the picanha, and the sausages. I love when the picanha has the redness from being cooked medium rare, with the contrast of the flavorful fat surrounding it. At Porto Brasil, they were only offering it at medium, or well done, thus it lost the texture, juiciness and flavor. I'm also less of a fan of the sausages, it seemed to be missing the smoky flavor that I love. In general, most of the meats were a little more well done. Their chicken was a positive for sure, it was juicy and tender. Their selection is also quite unbalanced, making the meal heavier than it really needs to be. Aside from their green salad, their buffet consists of heavy carbs, fried foods, or cold sides with too much mayonnaise. I think if they added just some fresh fruit that could really be a game-changer, something a little lighter to balance the heavy meat and carbs on offer. Usually it takes me a single trip to feel all carbed out. Also, I think something sweet could help too, maybe just a rice pudding. The ambiance of the restaurant is always a positive. I've been looking for Brazilian communities, and it seems like a lot of Brazilians show up here. Their dining room is spacious and the service is excellent. The gentleman who works the grill is such a cool guy, I get to practice my Portuguese with him a little and it's fun. Much love to the staff there!

Honestly. When you think of authentic Brazilian style food this is it. Home cooked feel. Home cooked flavor Selection changes daily. Staff is super nice. And they have Brazilian TV channels playing.

for Brazilian steakhouse lovers without the price tag, this may be an amazing alternative for you! Recommended by my friend, we came hungry and excited to finally try this place out since he's pretty much a regular Atmosphere/service: in comparison to your experience at fogo, you actually serve yourself. A relatively smaller place with about maybe 10-15 tables, there's a buffet area for salad/hot food items and the meat. The waitress was very nice, gave us our drinks/refilled them, and took away our used plates. food/price: I will need to throw out a disclaimer saying that this place doesn't have the variety of meat options as fogo but personally for me it had basically all the cuts I would normally eat anyways lol -- my top 4 - tenderloin also known as the picañha: juicy, crispy with the fatty parts, and soooo good. My top - sirloin - garlic steak - chicken heart They also had sausage, chicken legs, pork ribs when we went. The hot items include pork spare ribs, shrimp with veggies, corn soufflé, rice, beans, fried rice cake, fried banana. Salad bar with the usual items. I think something unique is that they have an array of sauces like chimichurri that you can eat with your meats! Would definitely come back. TLDR; a place where you don't feel like you don't have to stress about eating as much as you can bc of the price with great meat choices!

Porto Brasil is a churrascaria, specializing in grilled meat. Cuts of beef, pork, chicken and lamb are put on long metal skewers that automatically turn while in a rack. This is not a fancy schmancy restaurant. It has the basic list of meats; yesterday the meats available while we were there were picanha, chicken hearts, pork ribs, chicken legs and sirloin. You're not getting the highest quality meat cuts, bu you're also not paying top dollar. They're still delicious! Customers can either dine in (and then it becomes AYCE at $19.99 per person), or they can pick out whatever they want for $9.99 (I think) per lb of food. OK ... I'd caution anyone who comes here to plan ahead and make sure to arrive while it's busy. This may mean that you might have to do takeout because the dining area is not that big and could fill up very quickly. Yesterday, R and I came here for a very late lunch, or a very early dinner, and we were kind of disappointed because many of the meats listed on their website weren't even available. I get it - not very many customers were eating when we were there and the business doesn't want to waste meats, but I've been to other Brazilian grill restaurants that had one skewer of each type of meat available at all times, and those meats weren't all well done. Most of the beef on the skewers were medium well to well done, much to our dismay. We both like medium rare doneness for grilled beef. The picanha was good for being well done, and it seriously had a nice charred taste on the edges, but it also wasn't tender. One good thing here is that the meats weren't over salted while being grilled, like at some of the other competitively priced Brazilian chrrascarias. The pork ribs at Porto Brasil were so delicious, and were juicy (far from being dried out). Parking for Porto Brasil, which is in a small strip mall, was free and easy to find near the restaurant. We walked in and stopped an employee and told him we wanted to eat in and asked him if we just sit down. He welcomed us, was very nice and friendly, and had us sit down while he got two glasses of water for us and brought them to our table. He then explained the procedure: Use a disposable glove to handle all serving utensils, use a clean plate every time we went through the line, and use the tongs to grab a hold of the meat as the employee at the grill was cutting off pieces of meat. We could then pay at the register near the door before we left. Salads items looked fresh although there weren't that much of a variety. But, hey, who comes to a churrascaria for salads, right? As far as side items go, there were garlic rice (very garlicky and oily), fried bananas, corn soufflé, black beans, and other items. Honestly, I only tried the corn soufflé (which was ok) and the garlic rice. The employee at the grill was nice, but I know he was trying to pass off as much of the soon-to-be well done meats off to the customers. Since it was AYCE for one price for me, I figured it wouldn't affect me to get some well done food as compared with someone getting their food to go. I overheard a customers who was doing takeout telling the grill guy that she wanted only medium well meats since she was paying by the lb. She refused most of what the grill guy was trying to convince her to take because it cooked longer than she preferred. I couldn't blame her. I'm giving this 3 stars for this visit. I'd like to come back again during a peak time to try the food that's cooked medium rare, and also to try the foods that weren't available during this past visit.

I heard a words and was recommended for this local restaurant, I came in today for lunch, very friendly staffs, service was attention, they serve you drinks, compare to high-end steak house this food quality was the top-notch. Self service buffet, variety of salad bar, house cooked rice and beans. Full energy personal serves you a top sirloin steaks, roasted lambs, grilled sausage, garlic steaks, and much more. I bring my family here at local restaurants. Open 7 days a week. You like Brazilian steak house, please come to see yourself.

If your a newb to this culture of food, don't expect commercialized Fogo or Chama selections. Walked in at 3:30pm on a Tuesday and it wasn't too busy. It's a small place but plenty of seats. You can do the buffet at $12 or $6.99 per lb to go. They have all the typical Brasilain buffet food. Rice, bean, salad, potato salad, stews, and bbq meats. It's a small selection and less than what I have seen elsewhere, however, if you're Brasilian and just need your fix like me, then this will do it. I ordered the picaña since it my fav. It was dry so it didn't enjoy it. The stew they had was really good and made up for it. The potato salad was decent. The beans and farofa was good as well. I also had the flan and that was good as well. While I was eating, I can see they're keeping up with cleaning and putting fresh food out. Service is good. Meat station guy was looking at me all sketch as I took photos, lol. (Gente, calm down!) This place is the close to me. I want to come back and hopefully they can figure a good rhythm to keep the temp of the meat on anything other than well done.

My service at the server attending my table is normally very polite and very attentive. This time it was different. Asya had been somewhat attentive, but as the evening progressed and after being assigned another table next to mine with about 12 people, she no longer attended my TABLE frequently. At the end of the meal, I had four rolls left over and when I asked if I could bring them home, you would've thought that I was asking for a entire steak to take home, but I was not! I asked the general manager I believe his name was JP and he said that he could allow that. While, I understand their policy of not taking out food. I do not understand such a commotion being created over for dinner roles. Her exact quote was "going forward, we will not allow you to take the rolls home" While a simple "no" would've sufficed and I would've accepted it, I believe that the tone that the response was delivered was inappropriate. This tone carried out throughout the rest of the evening to dessert. Even though I was full, I did order dessert to take home. When I paid the bill I was not even thanked for dining there or asked to return . Before leaving I brought it to her attention that I have never left this restaurant without the server thanking me for dining there. She explained to me that she normally tell patrons as they are leaving "see you next time." I explained to her that see you next time was NOT the same as a "Thank you for dining here! "I also brought this to the attention of the general manager before I left. I explained to him that I left her a full tip even though I did not feel she earned it BECAUSE I had hoped that the tips get divided amongst the entire crew serving my table. I'm giving a rating of three rather than one because the highlight of my evening, definitely offset this bad experience. This was due to a very polite and very attentive Jardel, who always came with a smile and was very conscientious about me receiving the meat medium, rare as I requested! I probably will consider another location as I like to dine at Brazilian steakhouses and normally the service is impeccable!

As for the cards that we receive after the meal, it is very confusing because one side is green. That states you were still eating and the other side is red that states you are done eating. Most Brazilian churrasco gives it to us at the Beginning of the meal. Which I would've preferred so they didn't clear our table while we were still eating. The servers also Carry around an iPad and they can see which tables are available. What I am assuming happened is nobody checked in our table, which is why it looked like it was available when we walked off to get our second plate. We also ended up paying at the counter instead of our table because like I said the servers kept ignoring us. When we did eventually flag one down, they acted like they could not to speak English and walked away. This was actually a few of the servers so yes, of course we're going to think that they don't speak English. Accountability is all I'm asking for when it comes to service. The people serving the food at the barbecue and the buffet were amazing. The only person that apologized to us was the host guy, when he gave us another table.
