I have dined here 4-6 times in the last couple of months. I would call it my go to place when I'm craving steak. My service at the server attending my table is normally very polite and very attentive. This time it was different. Asya had been somewhat attentive, but as the evening progressed and after being assigned another table next to mine with about 12 people, she no longer attended my TABLE frequently. At the end of the meal, I had four rolls left over and when I asked if I could bring them home, you would've thought that I was asking for a entire steak to take home, but I was not! I asked the general manager I believe his name was JP and he said that he could allow that. While, I understand their policy of not taking out food. I do not understand such a commotion being created over for dinner roles. Her exact quote was "going forward, we will not allow you to take the rolls home" While a simple "no" would've sufficed and I would've accepted it, I believe that the tone that the response was delivered was inappropriate. This tone carried out throughout the rest of the evening to dessert. Even though I was full, I did order dessert to take home. When I paid the bill I was not even thanked for dining there or asked to return . Before leaving I brought it to her attention that I have never left this restaurant without the server thanking me for dining there. She explained to me that she normally tell patrons as they are leaving "see you next time." I explained to her that see you next time was NOT the same as a "Thank you for dining here! "I also brought this to the attention of the general manager before I left. I explained to him that I left her a full tip even though I did not feel she earned it BECAUSE I had hoped that the tips get divided amongst the entire crew serving my table. I'm giving a rating of three rather than one because the highlight of my evening, definitely offset this bad experience. This was due to a very polite and very attentive Jardel, who always came with a smile and was very conscientious about me receiving the meat medium, rare as I requested! The more I frequent it the less enamored I am with the Fogo de Chao experience. I've tried this chain across several states and each time is somehow less pleasant than the last. However, the negatives are never based around the food, ambience, or cleanliness. Their service model is what largely brings down the experience. Let's start with some positives. Hubz and I made a small reservation to finally celebrate leaving the land of the engaged and officially entering matrimony (YAYYYY). The wait on our table wasn't too long albeit the hostess looked very disheveled as is usually the case at Fogo. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and modern, which is their norm. The bathroom was spectacular! Lawd I love a nice, clean bathroom. And the lunch special has a pretty good value. Choose a meat (1 a person so 2 for our table) and get the market table and all complimentary sides for a nice amount compared to the AYCE, which honestly I preferred and will probably do every time moving forward knowing this is an option. But the service was bad. Like, BAD bad. They do that awkward floating servers method which I've never seen work effectively at ANY restaurant, let alone one with the volume that Fogo de Chao does on a daily basis. Don't get me wrong, the meat tenders were great and actually had a personality. But the wait service was really weird. Telling different people the same thing 100 times gets old and is not a marker of attentive serving. Then the communication on their end is clearly not great, because the actions they take at the table get in each other's way. Getting water refilled and requesting more of that delicious bread was an uphill battle. It's also hard to tip because you don't know who you're tipping since subpar service comes from 4-5 different people. Which maybe added together should equal 1 good server??? I just really don't like this model and I wish that high end places especially would see it presents more issues for their restaurant's public reception. Now usually when you mark the special event on your reservation, they automatically add a little celebratory dessert. Nope. Had to ask. The random guy who took the dessert order was nice and chatted us up about being newlyweds, which was a nice moment. But then it took 5EVER for it to come out after we finished. And once it came out and we were eating it, another one was brought to the table which we politely declined. Again, the service situation here is all over the place. I also have beef with the parking situation at this location. It appeared that a significant chunk of the lot was reserved for valet use but was super empty and the other half was for us regular folks... and surely overflowing. The overflow - and it was absolutely overflowed - shares parking with the hotel across the lot. You could spend a good 10-20 min looking for decent parking like you're at Costco. That's crazy because we're clearly not at Costco lol. I've never been in a battle for parking in a large private lot like that just to eat a meal. People want to park their own cars... open up the lot! Food was predictably good. Service was very awkward and made the moment dull. read more

I had heard about these place for years. Tonight, our university held an Administrative reception post graduation. As soon as we walked in the room, we were greeted by a very friendly hostess, were seated very quickly, and that began a very pleasant dining experience. First, I was blown away by the different cuts of meat. My absolute favorite was the lamb, of course. From what I had been told, I knew that I would be offered a variety of select cuts. Every offering was delicious and I'm still savoring the taste hours later. We had our own private room inside the establishment and really enjoyed a very familial atmosphere. I'm am a fan of this restaurant and plan on coming back, again, sooner than later. If you've been there before, you know what I'm talking about. Simply put, this place is a lot of fun. Come hungry and do your worst. I recently visited with a few friends and we had a fantastic time grazing on Brazilian BBQ over the course of several hours. As good as it was, there are a few things that kept it from being a true 5-star experience. There were lulls in the service. We did have to wait a fair amount of time to be served. Sometimes it was for food. One time it took forever to get a beer. But these weren't deal breakers. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience and I would totally return. read more

There is a lot of hype around this restaurant. We went here for my anniversary. I was a little disappointed with the end results. When entering the restaurant it was beautiful. Very large area of wines, tables/napkins are in perfect order. Dishes/glasses stacked neatly. Lighting is dim to cast a romantic atmosphere.Bathrooms clean,staff very attentive. Nice welcoming atomposhere. I have been to quite a few Brazilian steakhouses so I had an idea of what to expect. What I enjoyed about this steakhouse was how everyone seemed to take a part in the service. Every waiter/server that came by had an ora of this meat I am bringing you is the best one. I enjoyed seeing how they would come to the table to see if you wanted what they were bringing. For the most part the meats were delicious. My favorite was the "melted" cheese they would bring by, I could not get enough of them. It was delicious. I probably could have eaten the cheese over the meat. I did get the salads/greens but to me they were not that great. I ordered the lobster mac/cheese. I was disappointed only because it wasn't as flavorful as I thought it should be. It was presented nicely but lacking in flavor and could have been a little more creamy. The best part of the meal for me was that melted cheese. They have these cards you put on your table. One side is green, the other side is red. Green means go and red means stop so when you have had enough food you decide which side will be up. At the end of the meal I did enjoy the desert. They decorated the plate with icing for our anniversary and the cheesecake was delicious. It was a nice shariable size. The flavor was just perfect. I came here for my birthday with my mom, and we decided to do the Best of Brazil (only limited time for $49/person). We had reservations, so we had ended up waiting for only a few minutes. Once we got sat, we got drinks and went ahead to the salad bar. They have a variety of things, the same as the other location in Buckhead. The meat was flavorful and cooked perfectly to how I like it. Since we did the Best of Brazil, meat variety was limited, meaning they came to us less frequently. We were able to just sit down and chill throughout our meal, and also decided to order the crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was good, and I would highly recommend either locations for any occasion! The interior is way brighter, with tall windows too, so definitely a brighter scenery and ambiance compared to the one in Buckhead. read more

If you haven't checked out Fogo de Chão's all day happy hour, here's your sign to. It is specifically for bar or patio seating, but they have such good deals. This includes $10 cocktails, $8 wines, $6 bar bites, a $10 burger, and more. For the cocktails, I really liked the strawberry hibiscus caipirinha. It's still sweet but not as sugary as a traditional caipirinha and has the added fresh fruit flavor. My favorite cocktail was the cucumber mint cocktail with vodka, though, which is light and refreshing. For food, we started with the $10 burger with the crispy polenta fries. Definitely get these fries over the regular ones; they are WAY better! The burger lacks seasoning and is overcooked, so here's the key: order medium rare if you want medium and add the garlic aioli sauce on it to give it some flavor. The burger is very big and filling, so it's worth it to get. Additionally, I love their saucy chicken legs and empanadas. However, skip the yuca fries -- they were not crispy and tasted poor. The biggest thing to ask for is the pão de queijo! These are Brazil's infamous cheese breads, which Fogo gives for free, similar to getting a bread basket at an Italian restaurant. They are soft, crispy, and have a nice balance of cheese. Every time I come, we get about 3-4 rounds of these. They are not to be missed, but I think you have to ask for them now, instead of them automatically bringing them out. read more

I appreciate how well the Market Table and Feijoada Bar were maintained, too. The space was constantly cleaned and maintained by the staff and all the items were VERY fresh. Wish I couldve given this restaurant 5 stars. I absolutely loved the Fogo in Seattle and NJ but this restaurant was lacking in the flavor seasoning wise. The service was great with wonderful service but the food left more to desire. Believe it or not Fogo normally has a great salad bar but this salad bar did excite me the way it normally does. The chicken salad I normally look forward to is normally shredded with a citrus lemony after taste but the chicken salad at this location had thick chicken slices and lacked the flavor explosion. The restaurant aesthetics is definitely fine dining like the others but not as lively at the other locations. I think I will give the buckhead location a try. read more

I joined some friends for a birthday brunch at this location. It's beautiful, clean and easy to access with complimentary valet parking. We were a party of 7 but we got there early enough to be seated immediately. Our server Shawn was great! Friendly, helpful and funny. The sides and items at the market table were yummy but I was really there for the meats. I tried everything that made it to our table. We ended up having to ask for the picanha and lamb chops since they never wandered around on their own but we were accommodated without issue. The picanha was the best offering, well seasoned and cooked, just yum. At the opposite end was the bacon wrapped beef, tough and dry. Chicken options were flavorful and moist. I'll skip the sausage next time. I was disappointed with the lamb, it was salty and tasted like lamb. We ordered several drinks, all tasty. We also got several desserts. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience at this location. I've visited other locations in different states and had great experiences, so this was especially disappointing. We came on a weekday night and it was surprisingly extremely crowded. We were seated right next to the front door, where people were constantly walking in and out, bumping into our table, with cold winter air blowing directly on us. There is no proper waiting area either so people were lingering around our table waiting to get seated which made the experience very uncomfortable. There was absolutely no sense of privacy. On top of that, multiple carts kept coming by trying to sell additional food that wasn't included in the buffet. The shrimp cocktail alone was $80 which is absolutely ridiculous. The buffet itself was poorly maintained and not fully stocked. Many sections were left with scraps or leftovers. We also didn't get to try all the steaks because the servers never made it to our table. Our assigned server never checked on us at all. I tried flagging down another server and even walked up to the register to ask for the bill. Instead of helping, I was told to return to my table because he "couldn't help me." At the very least, he could have called our server or helped in getting someone's attention. Very disappointing. So if you have never done a Brazilian steakhouse, you are in for it. This one is just like any other Brazilian steakhouse, it's all you can eat. You play a flat rate and they keep coming to your table with more and more. You will have a server and they will come with other things off of the menu that are not coming out of the flame, so you will have interaction so don't worry about that. It's a beautiful area, and it's free parking. They have complimentary valet services. But they also have a couple of spots here and there you can park at as well. The decorations are very classy so it's not something you would expect to see sports bar vibes. They have a couple of TVs by the bar but those are the only TVs there. So if you come and watch a game, this may not be the spot. They have a huge salad bar area that has all types of sal accompaniments and sides. You could get rice or soup or a Caesar salad or just a handful of cheese if you want lol. Some people come just for this. You may just want to come and sit at the bar. They have a full bar and a lot of the drink items on the menu are Brazilian based so if you want to try that then that will be a good idea. There are a lot of rum-based drinks, but they actually have a bar that can do any other type of genre of drink as well. So don't let that be something That limits you. The star of the show is going to be the gauchos and how they come by and carve off meat off of a skewer. Most of the meat is seasoned with salt but there's some that you will have some garlic. But it's very basic when it comes to the flavor. So you won't get the Cajun or anything like that with the meat. It's just straight steak seasoned with salt And pepper. It's amazing, so you will definitely have to come hungry. They have a full menu so if you don't want to do that then you can order off of the menu itself. A couple of my favorites are the lamb chops, the grilled cheese appetizer, and the filet. I have not had anything here that has not been top tiered. read more

More like 3.5 stars. They have valet or self parking. The Valet driver was very nice and checked to see if the doors were open because we arrived before they were open. That was very kind of him to do. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside. The salad bar had different salads, fruit, dressings, beans, cheese, etc. Since we're were there for brunch there were also waffles, bread and a sweet peppered bacon. There was a also a little soup station. Also Mimosas and cheese with honey if you want. The meats that came around were pretty tasty. If you got the outside of the meat, it was nicely seasoned with salt. If you got an inside piece it was a bit bland. I had to add salt. The pork with cheese was a disappointment as it was very dry. The sausage was a bit gamey. The lamb and the Picanha were delicious though. The sides of sweet plantains, fried polenta, mashed potatoes and Pao De Queijo were all yummy. All in all service was good and the servers were nice for the most part. Although I felt like some of them were generally unhappy and just going through the motions. The Passadores were all very kind. My friend only ate the Picanha for the most part and she was able to get a plate full when one stopped with the Picanha skewer. He was kind enough to load her plate. I would go back with an empty stomach and fill up on the Picanha and lamb. Pricey, so I wouldn't go back every week but it would be nice for a special occasion. I'm glad we did because there was a short wait when we arrived around noon and it looked like every table was full. Parking was either valet or self park, and there were plenty of self parking spots. Within minutes, we were off to the salad bar to start our meal. The salad bar itself was a good deal as it included soups and breads and has meat in it, such as salamis, hams, and smoked salmon. The sides that we all got as part of the AYCE as also accessible to the salad bar person. you flip over your card on the table to green and the meat starts coming, slicing off different selections. Went out for a family evening that we'd scheduled for a month, something we treasure as our younger son has now graduated and doesn't live close to home. We had to drive over an hour to get there and we had reservations, but apparently reservations are irrelevant. We waited over an hour to be seated and when we realized people seemed to be waiting 30 minutes minimum to have someone bring the meat, our son had to end up leaving as he didn't have the time given the restaurant's bad service. After about 30 minutes, someone did come by and we told them the people serving meat still hadn't reached out table. Eventually, they did start coming for what was one stop. Half the cuts were dry. When we tried to get seconds on a couple of items, it took forever to get someone to come back. Then the bill arrived. We had asked for water, and they had chosen to give us the water they charge for as opposed to ever explaining that were two choices. I've eaten at Fogo de Chao before and that was a pleasant experience. That location, however, was in Rio. That experience must have spoiled me as the place in Dunwoody is so poorly run that the parent company should disavow it. read more

Ones working the passadores had no ideia what they were doing , we came around 5;00 thinking very fresh.... No, it was more like left over from lunch. Enjoyed dinner tonight for our anniversary & everything was excellent! Kim was our lead server and was very attentive, but, honestly, the whole staff worked as a team so that no one left a glass unfilled or a dirty plate on the table. One of us did the normal dinner while the other enjoyed the surf & turf special which included a very large crab cake which was all crab - no filler. The only other difference was that the surf & turf doesn't include the premium meats, but it still includes sirloin, chicken, lamb, sausage, and a few other cuts I don't remember. The market table is nice as well - fresh and well attended with salads, cheeses, and a few sides like roasted cauliflower, grilled vegetables, and soups. The pace of the meal is totally up to you since you flip your card to green if you want meat or red if you don't. As we finished, someone came by with grilled cheese with honey & it's a perfect bite to end the meal. Or it would have been, but since it was our anniversary, they also gave us a complimentary dessert & the brûlée cheesecake is just brilliant (and I had to take it home because I couldn't eat more). I love a place where the atmosphere is professional and attentive yet laid back. The servers notice things like a dropped napkin and quickly replace it with a fresh one yet no one is pretentious. It's was time for little sis birthday celebration and my brother chose Fogo. Upon walking in, the decor is gorgeous. The wine walk alone lets you know that the ambiance is simple, yet upscale... As we walked to the host stand to check in, we were greeted by all smiling faces. Upon checking in as a group, we were taken to our table. The table setting presented a clean design with varying shades of cream. As we sat in the front right corner, we had a beautiful view of the entire restaurant. Also, bring in the corner allowed it to feel as we were off in our own world. I want the corner seat from now on. LoL. This was the absolute best decision ever. The assortment of meat provide an experience that is multi-tiered. Furthermore, the cuts of meat are fine yet meaty, moist, and flavored to grilled perfection. Of the provided selections, my favorites were the, FILET MIGNON Tenderloin BONE-IN BEEF ANCHO Bone-in Ribeye FRALDINHA Bottom Sirloin ALCATRA Top Sirloin Each of the above selections provided a mouth-watering experience. The robust flavor profiles exploded in my mouth with each and every bite. I'm talking top of the line cuts of meat that allow you to savor each and every bite. Along with the amazing food came the amazing service. Everyone who came to our table provided superb service and truly enhanced our dining experience. We came for my friends birthday at 9pm and was told the meats would stop coming at 10. We ordered the full churrasco expecting good cuts of multiple different steaks. We barely got any options for meat and they stopped serving at 9:30. Meat would come out too cooked outside and too pink inside, shows that they were rushing the cooking process. The service was poor, manager didn't check up on us even though they could tell something is wrong. The only couple workers in there who seemed like they cared was the man cutting the meat and the server named joan. It wasnt a good experience and definitely not worth the 84$. On top of that they accidentally charged me 104 instead of 84$. Ill be waiting to get my refund back. I expected alot better. read more

Fogo has always been one of my favorite restaurants, hands down. For the most part, our food has always been delicious and cooked just right. You have to come here hungry though... and don't make the mistake of loading up on salad or any food high on carbohydrates... instead focus on the meats and other specialties. Their service is always top notch.. but you may have to wait a little bit to get your favorite cut and meat. If you've never been, here is a quick rundown: *You can get the salad bar only ($15 lunch, $35 dinner) *the gaucho lunch includes the salad bar, as well as one meat (all you can eat) [$28 lunch, about $45 dinner] *the Fogo 44 : salad bar + Brazilian meats + dessert (all for $44!) hands down the best deal. But... for a limited time only. *full dinner, includes salad bar + all the meats including the premium cuts. ($60ish) They also have a menu that you can order from a la carte. I'm not really sure what they have there, since I'm typically there for the meats and their cuts. It is an elegant setting, and definitely a good date spot. Make reservations ahead of time though, because it is always very busy. Once you sit down, you will have to let your server know which option you would like to have (from the ones I mentioned above). Then you will have a little card with a green side and a red side. This lets the gauchos (people walking around with meats) know if you're ready to get served (green) or if you're taking a break (red). The meats come in large metal skewers that the gauchos cut for you, and you use a little pair if tongs to grab the cuts and put them on your plate. Of course, through this whole time you can go grab all the amazing selections at the salad bar. They also have signature drinks, and other goodies that you can grab. All and all.. it is a fantastic place to visit. Like I said, one of my favorite places to visit. read more

Atmosphere was fun Service was fair Salad bar was nice and plenty of choices When it comes to the food . Most all the protein was way too salty and overcooked. The serving of meats was not what I encountered in the other location . My family saw the filet one time (overcooked and salty) the ribeye one time . Very disappointing for the price I paid . My wife noticed that whenever a new table would be seated that the "prime" cuts came out and quickly disappeared to the back. But if you like pork and sirloin , you are at the right place . Lobster tail was overcooked also and served with no butter??? My teenager who was so excited about this place was also disappointed. Edit- didn't see a lamb chop all night either read more
