Food: I came here with my boyfriend for dinner without a reservation and we were lucky they were able to take us in on a busy Saturday night. The bread was fresh and I was thoroughly impressed with their pear salad. The veal and Parmesan pasta was exquisite. They give big portions too which I absolutely love huge portions and having some leftovers. I would recommend trying what I ordered or anything from this restaurant. Service: the waiter was polite and went out of his way to split the salad into two plates because my boyfriend and I wanted to share it. Ambiance: The ambiance felt great. It was a busy Saturday at around 8:30 pm. I didn't know you can bring your own bottle but it's okay we ordered soft drinks to drink with our meal. 10/10 restaurant recommendation

Consistently good Italian food with great specials. The service is always super friendly and welcoming. We know we can go here for a good meal! Definitely need a reservation, it's always packed, and it's byob! Highly recommend. We have never had a bad bowl of pasta here.

Classic Italian with good portions of food. It was strange there was no choice of pasta with entrées they just gave you linguini without asking you what you wanted. Service was good; they forgot my cappuccino. Nice decor. We shared a beet salad for appetizer that had arugula, beets and pecans. I had the Veal Sorrentino for my entrée which was enough for two small meals. We shared peanut butter chocolate cake for dessert which was pretty good too. BYOB

My wife and I went to Portofino's many years ago and the dinner wasn't what we expected. The meals were poorly cooked and unimpressive but the place is always packed so maybe it was an aberration. I tried the take out and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a chicken parm sandwich, which was perfectly cooked and a side of fries that were good. The service was very good - I was greeted pleasantly at the door and LOVED the complementary bread. Only negative would be no napkin in the bag. I might be willing to give the place a try again.

The food here was spectacular. The portions were abundant and very fairly priced. The servers were organized and kind. Only slight complaint is that the food took a while to come out but it was worth the wait. I had the best cake slice I've ever eaten and it was the lemon blueberry one. I also got the angel hair with seafood and it was rich and creamy. Would love to come back again... and soon...

My SO and I visited Portofino's for a date night during the week and we absolutely loved it. I had made reservations earlier in the day, just in case, but there was plenty of seating before it got busy for a Thursday night. The restaurant was a great size, offering a more intimate setting while also leaving you spaced out enough that you're not on top of other tables. The service was fantastic, everyone we interacted with made sure we had everything we needed without frequent visits. The restaurant is also BYOB, so make sure to bring a bottle if you'd like to imbibe. We were able to park in their small lot that's available, but most of the spots were taken already at 7. Our burrata appetizer was incredibly fresh and beautifully plated, while our entrees were also flavorful and delicious. The prices were very fair for the portion sizes as we both took home our leftovers.

A huge thanks to the staff at Portofino's. Was in Morristown for the Verizon Corporate Classic and was one of the parents overlooking a bunch teenagers who volunteered. At the conclusion of the race, our group pretty much took over their outdoor seating area to treat the kids with some pizza. Having been to events were large amounts of pizza are are served, I know it could be hit or miss when it comes to tasty pizza with freshness being not east to manage. I must say, they knocked it out of the park with fresh pizza that was warm and tasty. After a busy night, I can only imagine the last thing the staff wanted was a large group invading their dinning room when they were so close to going home. Despite our group size and pizza only order, thr staff was awesome. The outdoor dinning area was perfect atmosphere for our group. Did not explore their menu any further but would definitely return for a nice outdoor patio experience bringing my favorite bottle (quick disclaimer- pretty sure it's byob )

I came here for a surprise 30th birthday party. I must say I was very impressed with the service and the food. This isn't a big place but it was perfect for our group. You can use one or two rooms. The atmosphere is cozy. It's a BYOB. There's some outdoor seating too. We started with Hot Appetizers and they were constantly being passed. We were served Mini Crab Cakes,Stuffed Clams Oreganata , Chicken Skewers,Rice Balls,StuffedMushrooms, Baby Grilled cheese Sandwiches, Mini Ruben appetizers are just a few to mention. Then we went on to Caesar Salad, Ginger Calamari, and Prosciutto Mozzarella and Roasted Peppers. Then we went on to the Pasta course. I had Penne Al La Vodka, and Pasta in a homemade Pomodoro Sauce. Both of these dishes were excellent. After that we were given three different dishes to share family style. The first dish that was served was Bruschetta Salmon, then Veal Milanese, and Chicken Francese. All three dishes were delicious. I was so full I didn't think I could eat another bite until dessert came out. I had a piece of the delicious Birthday Cake, and some Italian pastries. I just paced myself and slowly ate a bite here and there. Portofino's served so much food. Everything was really good. I had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this place for dinner, get together, or a party.

We walked in 15 minutes later and he literally pointed to a booth where our two Detroit reds were just set up and waiting on us- we felt like royalty! On to the pizza- have tried many Detroit style pizzas over the years, I would say this was more Detroit "inspired", Aside from the edges, It had a soft bready crust - a little too fluffy compared to the crisp, almost focaccia-like crust we are accustomed to. Not to fret, it's still delicious! Quality pull on the cheese and the sauce holds its own. Some of the slices had the caramelized cheese halo and those were attacked first. Since we prepaid on the phone we didn't have the option to leave a tip. No worries, quick view of the sweet delights and we ordered some bombolones so that we could add a tip there!

Aside from vegans and vegetarians, who doesn't love meatballs?…read more At their most basic, they consist of ground meat (one or more varieties) rolled into a ball or oblong shape and can be found, with wild variation, around the globe. They are bound together with a little egg, milk, and perhaps breadcrumbs with some herbs and spices added to the mix. Located on a busy South Street in the heart of Morristown, my partner and I decided on dinner last night at Millie's Old World Meatballs and Pizza, named after the owners' grandmother, before the Mayo show. The location was ideal just a block away. The reservation was easily made via OpenTable. Upon arrival as first-timers, we were greeted by the staff and got a table inside the main dining room evoking modern Italy with an open kitchen, brick walls, chic red and black accents, and ambient electro music. Weather permitting, their loft-style garage door opens to the sidewalk for outdoors dining. Their menu features their specialties ... meatballs with both coal-fired and Neapolitan wood-fired pizzas as well as other traditional Italian recipes, which are fairly extensive. We decided on the Fettuccine Tartufo and a small Coal Fired Millie's Meatball Parmesan Pie. The food took some time, but we knew they were made with the finest ingredients and were absolutely delicious. The pizza was made from scratch, loaded with decent meatball slices, and had the right consistency where the crust was crispy and not burnt. Each dish on every table looked fantastic. We saved some room for dessert and shared their homemade Tres Leches cake. It was light, moist, and just the right level of sweetness. A little pricey across the board, but one can tell everything was made fresh. Our server was very pleasant. A perfect ending to an outstanding dinner, and our bellies approved. Definitely worth coming back for more than just meatballs and pizzas.

The Real Deal: Savios Pizza, Morristown…read more Listen, I spend a lot of time on the road between Elizabeth and Morristown, and I've eaten enough "emergency slices" to know when a place is actually putting in the work. I stopped into Savios during a gap in my schedule, and honestly? It's exactly what a Jersey slice should be. No bells, no whistles, just a solid piece of pizza that doesn't try too hard to be something it's not. The Breakdown: * The Fold: It's got that perfect crunch. You know the one--where the crust actually supports the cheese instead of turning into a soggy mess the second you pick it up. * The Sauce: It's got a bit of a kick to it. Not bland, not overwhelming, just a good, honest flavor that tastes like someone's grandmother was actually involved in the process. * The Vibe: It's fast, it's clean, and the people behind the counter actually seem to enjoy being there. In the world of quick grabs, that's a rare win. The Verdict: If you're running around Morristown and need a meal that won't let you down, Savios is the spot. It's reliable, it's delicious, and it didn't leave a grease puddle on my seat. Rating: 4.5/5. Definitely keeping this one on the rotation.

If you're bringing family then the low lighting and loud music might not be ideal. In terms of food, I was really satisfied with everything I ordered, but I especially enjoyed the penne vodka and the eggplant parm. The vodka sauce was creamy without being overtly heavy making it easy to eat without getting bored of the flavor. The eggplant parm was also crispy but well layered with cheese and sauce that made each bite tasty. We also ordered chicken parm which was much larger than expected and chicken masala that was also seasoned well. For apps we did a house salad which felt fresh and ended with the chocolate layer cake for dessert. The cake was rich and indulgent with multiple layers ensuring each bite was layered with flavor. Our server was also very friendly and came by enough that we didn't have to flag him down but also had privacy to enjoy our meal as a family. I will definitely be coming back here with friends or as a date night. While I enjoyed the food, as a family meal I'd probably stick to takeout from here instead.
