Famous Portuguese BBQ chicken and side dishes (French fries & rice) and my BFF :)

Great food especially the BBQ chicken and piri piri sauce. Authentic Portuguese food! Friendly staff! Have been going there for a while and no disappointment. Reasonable prices!

This place is a hidden gem. A lot of locals come here to eat. This is high-quality food at a great price. If you have never had Portuguese food, this is where you should try it. Order one dish for two people, maybe even three. The portions are huge. And try to order the specials of the day when they appeal to you. Sometimes they sell out of addition you can no longer get it for that day. We try to go as a family once a quarter. Here is our order from the last time. Aros con camarones, Veal and the Bacalaõ special. Highly, highly, highly recommend. Enjoy it! @mspickynyc

Authentic Portuguese food! Great local spot! I've actually never dined in, but usually get take out about once a week. I like their frango churrasco (chicken bbq, Portuguese style), but if you are used to eating Portuguese BBQ, just letting you know that their frango looks a bit different. I'm not sure where they order their chickens from lol, but these chickens are smaller.

Whenever I visit home, Portugalia is the restaurant my family goes to for our meal out. The food is authentically Portuguese and delicious. If you dine at the bar or restaurant while there's a soccer game, you'll even get a side of Portuguese guys yelling at the TV. I love the Mini Prego: a thin slice of beef on a mini bun. With such soft bread, and juicy, tender meat, it's my go-to appetizer. You can't go wrong with the daily specials. If you're coming with a bunch of people, you can order a bunch of entrees and share. There will likely still be leftovers because their portions are MASSIVE. Dessert leaves something to be desired. They prepare everything in the morning and then keep it all refrigerated. It's not bad, but it won't blow you away. I'd skip dessert here and just grab a Pastel de Nata at Teixeira's around the corner.

How good can swordfish/espadarte/peixe -espada be? Wonderful! You need to try this combination at Portugalia!

So many better places to eat now. Under the old management it use to be a great place but now things have taken a turn for the worse.

I enjoyed the contemporary design of the restaurant and the food was amazing. I had a dish that I normally don't make and don't see it in restaurants across the US - beef parmigiana. The meat was very tender, and the tomato sauce was well balanced without a lot of acidity, which I liked. It's a good size and you will probably take some home. Luis, the owner, is very proud of their vinyl equipment and says that the music selection of the DJs is very diverse and upbeat. This is a son and mother business and mom is in charge of the kitchen, menu design, produce purchase to keep everything fresh. I would definitely dine here again and I recommend it.

They had a wide variety of food, all ranging from beef, pork, chicken, seafood, and some vegetarian options. They had an extensive wine menu, and my boyfriend joyfully enjoyed a glass of wine. I got the brazilian fried chicken, which was extremely flavorful, and i was surprised there wasn't any breading on the chicken as typical fried chicken does. I much preferred the no-breading style, which I think is the Brazilian way. I would have preferred a boneless dish, as there were quite a few pieces with bones, and it was pretty oily at the bottom of the dish. It came with two very large sides, and totaled around $25. 100% would recommend this dish, but I do think at a lower price point, this could make do with just one side, instead of two, as the main dish was quite large enough to fill me up. My favorite part of this meal was the garlic butter bread that they provide for free. It comes out extremely fresh with lots of chopped up garlic, which is my favorite part of garlic bread. It was a great way to start the dinner off. The service was great and the waiters were extremely attentive. They regularly checked up on how we felt about the food and filled up our drinks. The restaurant was pretty empty while we were dining, but the space was laid out very nicely and the decor was beautiful. Would come again if it wasn't so far!

I added a little salt, pepper, and lemon to enhance the flavors. The staff was attentive, kept our glasses filled, and made sure we were enjoying our meal. One of the staff members let us sample the meat he was serving on the sword to another table, and it was incredibly juicy, tender, and flavorful. That experience made us want to return for the full Rozilio experience. Overall, it was a wonderful birthday dinner.

The Mixed Meat option had several different preparations of beef and a sausage served with a salad, french fries, and white rice. It was a generous portion of meat in a large plate. For dessert we all had the Serradura (Portuguese Sawdust Pudding) which was made with a meringued cream, whipped cream, and crushed cookies mixed together. Very delicious, not too sweet and not too filling. All around there was brick, stone and solid wood. I felt like I was in what I imagined a restaurant in Portugal would be like back in the day. The servers were friendly. I gives me the sense that it is a good place to have a range of events - from a business lunch to a celebratory party. There is lots of space in the restaurant with different rooms. One room seemed specifically set up for large parties whereas another room was set up like a typical restaurant. Our party was able to relax and enjoy ourselves without ever feeling any time pressures from the staff. It was quite an enjoyable experience.
