I'm so disappointed with this place. While dining here, I noticed the homemade tortillas come pre-packaged in a box. I saw an employee take the little frozen pucks of dough out of the box onto the counter to be pressed into the tortilla maker. Later my father asked a waitress saying 'the dinner portion is so much larger than the lunch portion' and the waitress explained that since everything comes in a box, they're not always the same size! Whaaaa?! Aside from the actual food, the service towards the end was good. The restaurant cleared out a bit and gave the waitress a chance to be quite attentive to our party of 9. I thought the tamale was good, though now I realize it's a boxed tamale. The enchiladas are sub par (also packaged). The sour cream sauce is good if you're into TexMex. The Ranchero sauce is not like traditional Mexican cuisine. It's more like a salsa, not a rue-based chili sauce. The verde is actually pretty good, but I wonder what is actually homemade now that I know a good portion of the food comes from a box. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 for the service. read more

Hadn't been to a Posados in years since most of them near me have gone out of business. However, we were passing through Lindale & saw the Posados sign and decided to give it a try for lunch. I ordered the lunch beef enchiladas. They were good, nothing special. My spouse ordered the lunch quesadillas. Way overpriced for what she got. Basically a little bit of cheese & chicken between 2 flour tortillas. No guacamole or sour cream on the side. Posados used to offer free tortillas & sopapillas, not sure if they still do as they were never offered. Service was okay. Food adequate. Just kind of an okay place to eat. Not sure if we'll ever return. read more

Despite previous reviews, everything went well with our meal. The waitress was accommodating and even made sure to not fill drinks too high for my small kids to avoid spills. We chose this restaurant because it was close to our hotel, despite the negative reviews, and we are so glad we did! We were seated immediately and our server Nick offered us excellent service. The chips and salsa are amazing. We ordered queso flameado with beef and combination fajitas. They were both delicious. The garlic butter was "icing on the cake." If we are ever back through this area, it will definitely be on our list of stops. read more

Basic, plain and just all around bland Tex mex food. I wouldn't say it was awful tasting but just plain Jane food. The price is extremely overpriced for the quality and taste. The meat is literally plain ground beef, no taco seasoning or seasoning on any meat or food for that matter. Tortilla chips are nice fresh and thin, that's probably the best quality the restaurant had. Waitress was nice too, but overall wouldn't ever pay that again for the plainest mediocre food. If I could this place no stars I would. We were traveling back home from getting off a cruise boat in New Orleans headed to Gainesville and stopped for some supper. I needed to get some juice for my laptop for school and they literally wouldn't let me plug up while we ate supper. Then they charged for everything. We had a five star experience at Pasados! We were a group of six ranging in age from 3 to 57 and we all got delicious food that delighted us. A ton of Mexican as well as traditional "kid friendly" foods on the kids menu with good portion sizes. The tortilla soup, queso, and house-made tortillas are simply fantastic. The grilled veggies had a fabulous char and wonderful flavor (poblanos, mushrooms, zucchini, yellow squash and more). This restaurant is hit or miss. Unfortunately tonight was a miss for us. While our server achieved getting the chimichanga my son wanted, he did mess up his side order. Then with my order, I asked if I could have different sauces than what was supposed to come on the meal and I was told yes. I ordered, but when the order came out, it was wrong. I sent it back and it came out covered in queso. I knew immediately what had happened. The kitchen just put a huge amount of queso on top of the wrong order. I flipped over my entree and saw the other sauces. When the server came over I explained that I previously worked in restaurants and knew what happened. He apologized and took the meal away. Omg! The Mexican corn was out of this world! The chili relleño was outstanding, but the portion size was not. My husband had the steak/shrimp fajitas and felt the same way. We did go back today for more Mexican corn because the flavor was just that good. I would have rather had a second chicken chili relleño than the beans and rice sides, but that wasn't an option. Prices have gone up and quality and quantity have went down. So one would think that this is a no brainer. In the Mexican food business you have two side items (refried beans and rice) that is absolutely dirt cheap. They buy these items by the toe sack (bulk) which reduces their cost even further. I can't for the life of me figure out why they are so skimpy with the beans and rice. The last time I ate at the Lindale location they had smeared about a tablespoon of beans around on my plate. You literally could see the plate thru the beans. Rice was about two tablespoons but the enchiladas were nice and covered with chili. This has actually been my experience the last three times I visited there, so I stopped going to this location. read more

Best Tex-Mex in East Texas indeed! We stopped by here on our way to Dallas from Shreveport, and I must say, every aspect of this establishment exceeded my expectations. The service was great! Our server was very nice, attentive, and well-informed in every way. We all ordered something different with various customizations, and she got it all correct. The food itself was fantastic as well! We received fresh warm tortillas and chips/salsa within a minute of being seated. The spicy chicken guisado was my favorite, which I ordered as a 3-item lunch platter. The quality and taste of chicken isn't always good at many Tex-Mex restaurants that I've experienced, but was great here. The chicken enchiladas and fajitas were equally delicious! All meals had great portions too! The complimentary chips, tortillas, salsa, and frozen yogurt were definitely just an added bonus. This is our second trip to Lindale. It's a quiet little town, away from the hustle and bustle. We chose Posados because of its close proximity to our hotel. Didn't even check the reviews before hand! Let's start with the chips and salsa...thin crispy chips and salsa with AMAZING flavor!! Not so spicy that you can't eat before your drunks arrive like some places. The queso, made fresh, is equally delicious! We had quail fajita and the Primo burrito. Way more food than one person can eat we took half of it with us. But even better than the food was our waitress for the evening. Alicia was incredibly attentive but not pushy or bothersome at all. Never had to ask for a thing! Drink refills were brought to the table anytime our drinks were near half empty. She even offered a to go box and drinks to take along. The best service we have had in a while!! So if you find yourself with some time to sit down and enjoy a great meal, wonderful atmosphere, and outstanding service, Posados it the place to be!! read more

The service at this place is terrible. We sat there 45 minutes and the waitress hadn't even put our order in. She passed by several times and said nothing. Then finally came over and said she had forgotten to do it. She said she would tell her manager but he never came over and said anything either. Then had the nerve to discount the bill $2. I like this place, but they don't always get your order right when you order take out, which for the price- can be really frustrating and don't order a to-go drink. It is tiny. The food tastes good though and I love the sopapillas! Oh... and it may take a few calls for them to get the order put in when they are busy... understandable though.
