Fortune for me found itself at a little, cozy studio tucked away in a small shopping plaza off 41 behind the McDonald's. Leah is not only well versed in the primary series, she's no non sense, badass yogini who counts way too slow, but hey, it's to burn away my samskara, right? I have a love hate relationship with her, especially when she forgets to turn on the AC. If you are masochistic like me, go take Leah's Ashtanga class. It's small and intimate, so there's no hiding in the "back of the class". Seriously, it's a difficult class but things that come via difficulty are the most gratifying. And as they say here, no mud, no lotus! Oh I failed to mention logistics, register for class online for $12 a class (make sure you do it at least 30 minutes prior to the start time) or pay $15 at the door. Punch cards are available from the wonderful and sweet owner, Jessica (who I've heard gives a great massage). The merch is also pretty darn cute. Get yourself a "rocker tank" to display those Boulder shoulders you'll be getting from getting your headstand and Vinyasa on!

The entire retreat area radiates an energy of peace and "Zen" from the moment you arrive. I attended the Gentle Yoga class led by Cristina, and she was incredible. She is soft-spoken, calm, and clearly very knowledgeable in the yoga arts. Her guidance helped me achieve a genuine sense of alignment and body harmony; it was the perfect environment to relax and deep-stretch. I also brought my mother along, who is a beginner. Cristina's teaching style was perfect for her, helping her find a great balance of movement without feeling overwhelmed. This is hands down the place I would choose to visit during times of turmoil or distress. The office is in the back and thats where the cubbies and stuff are. The two yoga instructors I've had so far, Debbie and Susana, have been really great! I particularly like Susana because she makes sure to address any injuries or limitations you may have and makes sure you dont hurt yourself. I found both classes to be challenging, relaxing and a great work out since I was sore the following day. The classes tend to be small with only about 5-8 students in each so you get a great atmosphere. The studio itself is big with lots of room to spread out while still being able to see the instructor. It is also aesthetically nice. The provide lots of props for use and mats. I really like this studio so far and look forward to taking more classes. I bought the 6 classes for $45 package which is for new students. They also offer a work program where you can work and earn free classes, which I hope to take part in to save money. So happy I joined and found a great studio with awesome instructors!

It's a quaint (if not a tad on the small side), peaceful, spiritual and warm studio. & I really love how many different style of classes there are, from regular vinyasa to chakra healing. Very grounding and authentic. But, of course, my biggest compliments are to the fact that it is infrared, so cool. Look it up. Seriously.
