Odette is the best! She made my first lash perm a comfortable experience! I attended a family wedding 2 months ago and wanted to do something different aside from doing fake lash extensions. I've done the fake lash extensions for years now and they just don't do it for me anymore. I also don't want to look like Mr. Snuffleupagus when I'm trying to look cute. If I do get falsies I'm lucky if they last a week. I've also done magnetic lashes too but those don't stay on well resulting in the corners being undone. I wanted my lashes to look as natural as possible with some curl to it. My lashes naturally lie flat and even with mascara, they don't appear to stand out. Lash perms can give your own lashes the extra curl needed. Most of all the perms last for at least a month! Odette was sweet, calm and patient with me given this was my first time doing this. She explained the process and checked in with me often since the perm solution they put on can cause mild stinging. I felt that but it didn't cause serious discomfort. In the days ahead, my eyes did crust up but what I was left with were a beautiful set of lashes that were of my own, just a bit enhanced to give you that va-va-va voom oomph to your look. If paired with eyelash primer and a coat of mascara, they stand out guaranteeing you won't get that Snuffleupagus aesthetic. I would definitely recommend lash perms for a special occasion/vacation. My session lasted an hour allowing for relaxation. In fact, I took a 20-minute nap while on the table! Parking is a breeze with Posh Beauty situated in a large strip mall with adequate free parking. I visited this salon for the first time hoping to find a new spot closer to home for occasional blowouts. I booked online for a blowout with extensions, clearly noted in my appointment. The listed price was $45+, and I expected a slight upcharge (as I usually pay about $52 at my regular salon). From the moment I walked in, I felt uncomfortable. The stylist seemed put off from the start, questioning me repeatedly about the brand, method, and origin of my extensions, as well as who did them. She also asked about my age and nationality--questions that felt both intrusive and inappropriate in a professional setting. During the appointment, she expressed visible frustration with the extensions, despite offering this exact service on her menu. I ended up helping comb them out myself. The blowout was just okay--not bad, but nothing exceptional. At checkout, I was shocked to be charged $85. I had asked about pricing beforehand and was told it would be "a little more" due to the extensions--double the base price was far beyond what I expected, and I've never paid that much for a blowout anywhere in the country. On top of that, the only payment options were Venmo, Zelle, or check--no credit cards. The salon itself is very clean and stylish, and it clearly has some positive reviews. I'm adding additional color to My review with more details. It appears you aren't interested in use of feedback to better your services, but instead to deflect responsibility from the poor services you provided. Odette left me in the facial room, with cleanser on my face (and eyes) and the steamer pointed at in my face for about 8-10 mins. During this time, the cleanser seeped into my eye and I felt my way around the facial room and washed the cleanser off at the basin. Odette then returned to the room and was snacking and drinking & proceeded to scrub my face worn a manual scrubbing paste - without washing or sanitizing her hands. Which is a NO NO when your pores are wide open. She chose to use a harsh manual scrubber despite asking her not to and giving her a very clear background of my current skin regimen that included retinol and prescription meds aimed at acne resolution. She talked over me and would not heed my request to not be so harsh with her technique bu stating she had years of training. Now the haircut- Odette refused to put leave in conditioner or heat protector spray- stating "I used an expensive shampoo and conditioner, no need". Post the hair cut- Odette set my hair in curls. Unevenness I'm length and technique is hard to show up when hair is curled. However, on day two -I sent pictures of the horribly botched job done immediately after I washed my hair and saw the aftermath. Odette did not offer an apology despite the photographic evidence of the all over mess. She asked me to go back in and have her cut it again. I responded honesty and shared that I do not feel comfortable allow her to cut my hair for a second time after my overall experience with her. I'm sharing this review after very carefully considering the impacts to her small business. However, I genuinely feel she is NOT skilled or in keeping with the times in terms of best practices, techniques nor does she maintain hygiene while touching a clients face(eating, drinking, touching cell phone) and not washing or sanitizing hands prior to and between facial steps. I was lucky my skin did not scar or inflame. The refunded $75 was spent trying to fix her botch job at another highly trained salon and they were only able to minimize the mess and I have another appointment to fix it in a few weeks. Went for a pedicure first and was thrilled with the outcome and felt like I made a new friend and the owner Odette who did my pedicure. I was so happy I asked for a haircut Odette she was honest and said she brings in her mentor to do short hair with a precision cut. I have seen her haircuts online and they are beautiful but Chrissy did my hair and I love it . My hair was short to begin with but she gave me a new style with clean lines. I give this place such a low rating because I went for eyelash extensions, and it was the most painful experience in my life. Odette did my extensions, which looked quite beautiful when finished, but the process was quite painful. My eyes were open a lot, so the fumes and the glue got in them quite a bit. Then when I got home, I realized she put on so much glue that it looked as though I had on clear eyeliner. It was painful to close my eyes, I thought I was having an allergy to the glue but I now realize the pain was from the amount of glue she used. I don't think she knows what she is doing really. The lashes themselves looked great, she used the correct sizes for the correct part of my eyes, but I just could not keep them on because when I closed my eyes it felt as though the glue was pulling my lids every which way. Now, I contacted her to remove the lashes, she was very prompt and got me in for removal right away. Now this part was the absolute worst. The solution to remove the lashes was burning, painful, and in my eyes for about the entire length of the removal process. She could not get all the lashes off so I left in pain, with red watery eyes and still about a quarter of the lashes on. The redness and pain lasted for about 24 hours. Now, over a week later, the lashes are still on and when they do fall out, my natural lashes come with them because the glue goes the length of my natural lash. I hate to write this review because odette was a very sweet lady, I just do not recommend to get eyelash extensions here. read more
