I purchased my gown from Posh in 2019. The ONLY good thing I can say about Posh is that it's a cute shop with beautiful dresses. My wedding was postponed due to covid so I didn't have my alterations done until the summer of 2021 at Posh with Audra. Not much needed to be done- straps tightened and a little bit of hemming. My ceremony was July 2021. During my ceremony my strap broke off- leaving me to almost completely expose my breasts. Completely humiliating experiencing. Thank god I hired a wedding planner (Christine McFarlane) who saved the day. The pins Christine had would not hold the weight of the dress so Christine sewed the strap on. Thankfully, it held. However, we wasted picture/cocktail hour time to do this. Later during the reception, the OTHER strap broke off. Clearly, the seamstress at Posh did an AWFUL job. I reached out to their customer service and spoke to the manager- Lindsay. Lindsay offered to fix the straps for free and clean the dress IF I paid for preservations. She threw me $50 towards preservations which is laughable. Who would give this shop more money after such a humiliating experience? The lack of sympathy from the manager is embarrassing. I will be taking them to small claims court. I would never recommend Posh to ANYONE. read more

I went to Posh Bridal for the first time and was so excited about getting my wedding dress. However, I worked with her name started with an L, and I'm not sure if she was a getting annoyed with me while I was trying to weigh out all of my options from trying on dresses, but she definitely showed it. I did wish I was able to work someone else that showed more experience and wish I could redo my visit with someone else and maybe I would have gotten another dress. I felt pressured since you get a discount for coming in for the first time. I wish I would have booked another place with someone who is more experienced and didn't seemed annoyed with me or my family. I was even being nice and explaining throughly what I wanted. I read all the negative reviews on this boutique- every place has them. However, I recently went to Posh and found the dress of my dreams. I went the day before to look at dresses at other stores (not boutiques) and had horrible experiences. The one was like a chop shop, the other tried to get me in dresses that were WAY too small that I couldn't even imagine myself in. Therefore, I saw Posh was open on Sundays (bonus) and called as soon as they opened called and asked if I could make a same day appointment. The woman that answered the phone (I did not get her name) was extra nice to me. Flash forward to the appointment. I walked in and immediately felt like this was the shop I have walked into yet. The smell was nice, the front desk girl was really nice again. I had a seat and they had me back a few minutes later. I was assigned to Lori, and have to say- she was awesome. She asked me what my price range was, where my wedding would be, what I was looking for in a dress, ect. She took EVERYTHING I said- and found the ONE! During trying it on, Lori asked my about how I met my fiance, and just made it so much more personable. She was not pushy what so ever. I was very worried about finding a wedding dress before going to Posh Bridal because I wasn't sure what was going to look good on me and how the entire experience was going to go, but my consultant Lindsay was amazing and put all of my worries at ease! I had photos of styles I thought would look good on me and she pulled dresses that were exactly like the pictures but each one was slightly different so I got to see how different laces, different types of sparkle and more plain dresses would look. I ended up falling in love with the first dress I put on but Lindsay made sure I tried on about 6 or 7 other dresses to make sure I really loved it. Once I thought I was set on the first dress she asked me if I wanted to try a veil with it and she picked a veil that matched the lace on the dress almost perfectly. She brought me to their big mirror so I could see the entire dress and veil and that was it, I was sold, I knew that was the dress I was getting married in! Lindsay took pictures of me and my entire group which was so sweet! I couldn't have asked for a better experience! The only thing I messed up on was not filling out the online questionnaire about my style, size and venue location so definitely do that to help your consultant out, I just didn't realize it was in the email the sent so that was my fault! After meeting the ladies of Posh Bridal who made the experience so easy, my mind was changed. They did a great job finding something that made me feel beautiful for a destination wedding. The alteration process was so seamless and easy. Audra was so knowledgeable and talented. I felt like i was in the best hands. The finished product was stunning and so comfortable. I chose this bridal salon even though it wasn't convenient to me since they carried the selection of designers I liked (i.e. Allure, Essence of Australia, Stella York, Maggie Sottero). The initial appointment went smoothly. The staff was organized and very helpful. I brought two bridesmaids to help me pick out a dress. The staff picked out several options that suited my taste. However, many of the ones she picked out were well above my budget. I did voice wanting to stay below a certain amount. However, I did end up picking one out that day - it was above my budget by about $700. I didn't think it would be more expensive but also didn't think alterations would be so expensive (more on that later). After the initial appointment, my interactions with this salon were nothing short of frustrating. I was told my dress would be ordered and come in 4-6 months. About a month later, I get a call saying that my dress had come in over a week ago and since I hadn't paid the remainder they were about to send it back. I called them ASAP since that was the first time I had heard about the dress. The woman was snippy saying they had held the dress for a few weeks. I checked all my phone records and email. Not once had they called notifying me it had arrived. Nevertheless, I went out of my way that weekend (i.e. It is over an hour drive for me) to get the dress and pay the remainder. Fast forward a few months, I brought my bridesmaids to the salon to get bridesmaid dresses since they offered a 10% off deal. The woman said if we ordered by January we should get them by April (the wedding was in June). I scheduled an appointment and had the girls try on dresses. The staff supposed to help us was largely unhelpful. She just stood there staring the whole time. We placed the orders before the end of January. April rolled around and I heard nothing so I kept calling them. My bridesmaids had also called several times. They did not seem to care that the dresses were not in on time. I called several times every week for about three weeks (FYI, they don't work Mondays). May rolls around and I started freaking out since we still had to consider alterations. Whoever answered the phone clearly didn't care. I asked for tracking numbers and she said the company didn't give tracking numbers when they shipped the dresses. I'm not sure what company doesn't do that but that was unacceptable. The dresses ended up coming in mid-May and I had to rush ship two of them out of my own pocket to two of my bridesmaids. We asked about alterations and the seamstress only works Saturdays and Tuesdays. The wedding was only two weeks away and the Saturdays/Tuesdays between were all fully booked. The woman did say we could pay extra to have it rushed. Why should we pay extra to have these rushed when she gave us inaccurate information on when the dresses would come in in the first place?!?! I declined and had my bridesmaids go elsewhere for alterations. All of them were able to get their dresses altered in the same week for $10-$80. As for alterations, I would highly recommend shopping around. I opted to get my dress altered at Posh. The seamstress was very sweet and did a great job. However, it cost me $525 to have the dress hemmed, straps shortened, and padding added. This was not a complicated or intricate alteration. However, the cost of the alterations was 1/4 the cost of the dress. Mind you the dress I picked was already well over budget. With alterations, the dress went over budget by $1k. I recently just purchased my wedding dress from Posh Bridal and the experience so far has been amazing! My consultant was very helpful and super sweet during my entire appointment. When I arrived they asked to see any photos of dresses I was interested in and I was able to try on several of the dresses I had picked out already! My consultant Lori was quickly able to narrow down the style and fit of dress that I was looking for. The dresses are beautiful but the staff is incredibly unfriendly. The entire time I was there it felt like I was wasting there time and just an inconvenience for them. The one dress I absolutely loved was a brand new 2022 spring collection dress, just released. The associate helping me goes on to tell all the details about how new it was. After telling her I would be back to try it on again with my mother. she goes on to tell me that it could possibly be discontinued the very next day. Clearly just trying to get me to buy it even though I was very set on buying it, I just wanted me mother their with me. They push you with the first time buying discount and act like it's so great. After leaving the store with a bad taste in my mouth from the unfriendliness I call another store that carries the same brand and offered to purchase a dress for me from brands they carry even if they didn't have that dress in store. I found out the dress was marked $700 at Posh! The "discount" just brought it back down to the original price. Total scam!! Small . . . Horrible Customer Service, - I walked in the door, there were a few people on the side talking to each other. Another in the back I guess with a customer, and an employee on the phone who did not look up or acknowledge me when I walked in the door. After a few minutes of waiting she said sorry for your wait in a rushed way, may I help you. I asked for a certain dress, she said they do not carry it. I asked for a few other designers on the list and I was told look at our website. Then I asked to see a book, she said I cannot take it out of the store, look at the website. I asked if there were bridesmaids dresses, and AGAIN I was referred to the website. If I wanted a website then I would have stayed home, I was looking for service, selection and enjoyable time. I shall take our business elsewhere UPDATE ** I find it funny how quick you are to respond to a negative comment and not be PRO-active when business walks in the door. My comment did not compare you to any LARGE Company. I understand what a Botique is as I have been to SEVERAL in this area and NONE of them gave such Horrible service as your Business . I don't care how many dresses you can offer me online if you speak to someone in a tone in which you do not want to be bothered, then the sale stops there. Common courtesy when walking through the door is where it starts. This store is lacking in Customer Service end of story. I came to Posh Bridal to try on a bridesmaid dress line that my friend in Florida had picked out for her wedding. I called before my first visit to make sure they had the style # I wanted to try on since I live over an hour away. They said they had the dress but upon arrival they did not have the style I called about. I tried on other dresses and got measured to order one. They recommended I order a ten according to my measurements. I did not place the order that day so I could try to find a store with the style number I originally wanted. I called about two weeks later and told them I was ready to order the dress. They sent me a contract which I filled out and paid in full for my dress. I ordered an eight. A week later they sent me an email wondering if I was going to order my dress. I called the store and the lady I spoke with said the dress had been ordered and that was just an incorrect email. I got an email about two weeks ago that said my dress was ready for pick up and I needed to call 24 hours in advance to pick up my dress. I called on Friday and they told me I did not need an appointment and to just come on in. I arrived today and they "did not have a dressing room" since the seamstress was doing a bridal fitting. Even though the bride doing the fitting was not even in a fitting room. After she told me that I could not try the dress on she asked if I was going to have the alterations done there. Although my dress is exactly what I ordered, every contact with the store was less than desirable. They were less than accommodating and always very unorganized. read more

I just said "yes" to my dress today at Posh Bridal! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Lori, who helped me find my DREAM dress, all of the staff there, including the owner-Brandi, and the shop itself (it is stunning, just as beautiful as the dresses it holds...by the way, their shop recently moved across the street to a different location, and it looks EVEN MORE incredible than what's photographed here on their Yelp page)!! I had a very specific vision for what I wanted for my dress, with a lot of fine details, which I know makes it even more difficult to find, after visiting a total of 5 different bridal shops (6 actual visits because I visited one shop twice) Lori not only set me up with several dresses that were almost exactly what I had in mind, but she also found the one I had been looking for! After two visits to their shop, she was extremely patient with me while I asked tons of questions and had to set the dress up in various different ways while taking pictures at different angles so that I could really visualize everything before committing. She came up with the right visual aesthetics for me to be able to imagine my dress customized to what I had always wanted, and NEVER made me feel rushed at all. As you can see from this review, I just can't say enough good things about Posh Bridal, they are amazing, the shop itself is amazing, and the dresses they have are incredible. Terrible experience for the bridesmaids at Posh Bridal. The only concession I'm going to give them is that the Bride had such a positive, happy experience when she went to try on wedding dresses (& ultimately purchased one). When all of us (7 bridesmaids) went back to buy our dresses, they were made aware how many of us there were and STILL only booked an hour long reservation. So first of all, the attendant was rude and unhelpful (and I'm usually a pretty generous and forgiving person but we were treated horribly!) and then told us we only had ten minutes left in our appointment even though none of us had even been able to pick out a dress yet! Some of us traveled 4 hours to be at that damn appointment and coming back would have been ridiculous! Luckily for us, the ONLY other dressing room opened up early so the next appointment could go in there, but we felt very rushed and unappreciated as customers. The Bride was visibly upset and I had to step in to take charge and figure out what colors, sizes, and fabrics were available in each dress or dress line. It was maddening. Especially with one dressing room for 7 women. We ended up having three girls in that tiny room changing together because we didn't have nearly enough time. Next, we ALL get MEASURED at the front desk after we decide on the dresses we want. This is so they can order the correct size. Well, they obviously don't know the merchandise they're selling (AT VERY HIGH COSTS) to their customers, because despite being measured, my dress is too small. I called with my concerns and they only told me there was material for it to be let out. So I took it to a local dress shop, they let it out, and it STILL doesn't fit properly. I paid far too much for this dress to be told that "Just remember special order dresses do not come in and fit perfectly because they are based off a standard size chart and are not custom cut to our body. Letting the seam out on the hip is a simple alteration." So now I have to walk down the aisle for my best friend's wedding in a dress that bunches around my hips. And on a personal note, I bawled my eyes out when the dress arrived in the mail and didn't pull down over my hips. I have always had wide hips and have always been self conscious about it. I assumed (you know what they say about that!) that because they had measured me, I would not need to worry about it fitting, and I was fine with having to pay for some alterations. This is not an angry review because I have to pay for alterations! I am also not the only bridesmaid who received her dress and is having issues with the alterations. So beware of this place and their CRAZY price tags that don't come with the customer service to make that cost worth it. The Bride already told me she is insanely glad she didn't let them alter her dress, because the woman there talked about CUTTING OFF the lace trim around the bottom of the skirt and then sewing it back on after hemming.... when all that need be done is take the skirt up at the hip line. I think they just want to rack up as much in expensive alterations as possible! read more

They stayed in our price range and picked around 10 dresses of all different styles. I experienced such poor service at Posh!!! After expediting my dress, it took three weeks instead of the promised two. The extra $60 for shipping was not returned. The dress looked terrible, but not just the fit, the quality of the material was cheap looking. When the staff person asked me what I thought I told her I hated it. She said, Oh, well have a good weekend... The dress will go on Craig's List and I will never shop at Posh again. Unfortunately, my daughter had already spent $$$$ on her dress there. I had come here in the beginning of 2017 and the experience is still not sitting right with me so I felt it was necessary to share the experience. I came to this bridal shop as the maid of honor to support the bride. The woman who was assisting us could not have made it a more unpleasant experience for everyone involved. Throughout the visit she judged the style of dress the bride wanted to try on and continued to make her try on dresses she did not like and at the same time was stating how hard she was to please. Do not waste your time trying to find or go to Frederick, MD for this bridal boutique. The staff is extremely unprofessional (especially Kim). There were several time when I called the boutique and Kim answered the phone laughing and carrying on. She could not compose herself long enough to clearly greet me as a caller. The staff is less than courteous and make you feel like you are imposing on their chit-chat time. The shop is dark in the dressing room which raises suspicion of what the shop may be trying to hide. When I was in there, I did notice that they treated a bride and her mother very nicely. They quickly checked them in and started her "dress hunt." The girl who was helping was asking questions and trying to get to know the bride. You can tell by their decorum and vernacular that they are a "young" owned boutique. They may have a nice dress selection, I don't know as I was not buying a wedding dress there, but rather a Mother of the Bride dress. read more

I gave Posh multiple chances to change my mind about their store, but each time they ended up disappointing me more. The first time I visited was a year ago to look at wedding dresses. I was newly engaged and excited to start looking. I arrived there with my family and there was one girl working, and no other customers in the store, so I thought great! However, the whole entire time she was rude and acted as though she didn't want to be there and was not interested in helping me. She answered our questions nastily and made the whole experience unenjoyable. I did not feel welcomed. I decided to give them another chance when it came to bridesmaids dresses. All of the girls tried their dresses on and loved them. However, we were very rushed through the whole process. Also, when they received their dresses, NONE of them fit. Even if they were the same size they tried on in the store. They were all too small even though their measurements were the same as when they first tried on the dresses. After that, my cousin and sister went back to them to get alterations done, and every encounter they had with the seamstress was stressful. She was rude to them and made them feel uncomfortable. After alterations and the dresses still not fitting correctly, they wanted to charge us for extra fabric! Which is insane considering how much everyone spent on the dress already. Overall, I was not happy. I ended up sewing my sisters straps the night before my own wedding because they didn't do a good job altering her dress. I moved to Urbana pretty recently and wanted to look at prom dresses for ideas of what I might want. I've heard good things about posh bridal and decided to check it out just to browse. My mom and I go in and are stonewalled by the woman at the front. She asked about an appointment and we said we didn't have one nor need help, we just wanted to take a look. We were hoping to find nice dresses and come back later closer to prom to try some on. She said they were full, looking us up and down. She finally scoffs and says we can go in the prom dress room. This wouldn't have bothered me all that much, I understand stores have policies and I can wait. However, as we're browsing we hear another customer walk in asking about browsing and she gets no question of an appointment and is escorted to the bridal dress section. I tried calling the manager and she didn't seem to care. I'm not sure what about us elicited the response we got. Despite this, the dresses looked beautiful and I saw a few I'd consider trying on in the future. read more

I went into the appointment a little terrified since it was my first time trying on dresses and I wasn't feeling the most body confident I have ever felt (Haven't stayed on the wedding diet train thus far ... woops!) and my consultant Kim made me feel like a million bucks. She asked me all of the right questions in order to gain exactly what I was looking for (and definitely NOT looking for) and it resulted in a refined selection of dresses to try on. I would not have chosen my dress had she not picked it out for me and suggested I try it on. That was the 4th dress I tried on and it was completely love at first sight and I did not want to take it off. I have never felt more beautiful in my life. I came to posh back in May but I am now just getting to a review because I have now been to two bridal boutiques where my experiences have been horrible. I felt the need to praise the shop and Kimberly for truly treating me like bride and making me feel like a princess (a concept that seems ridiculous to other places I've been). The shop itself is beautiful and sparkling and sets the tone for dress shop pampering. There's an amazing selection of beautiful dresses and the showroom is not overwhelming. The staff also provided a welcoming environment that made what I consider an unpleasant task enjoyable. Kim knew exactly what would look good on me because I truly am a clueless bride. She also gave honest feedback which was helpful because my mom was too afraid to be vocal for fear of hurting my feelings.
