(This promotion is still going on, so take advantage of the opportunity to try it out while you can!) I went to my first class on a Monday not really knowing what to expect from leg day at level 4 on the shredmill. This class kicked my butt... literally my legs and glutes were really feeling the burn (the good kind of burn though). What makes this gym unique is that they incorporate the shredmill, yes SHREDmill, not treadmill into the workout every day. The workouts are different everyday and are available to everyone on the DripFit app where you sign up for classes. The basic outline is Monday - Legs Tuesday - Chest & Shoulders & Triceps Wednesday - Abs & Sprints Thursday- Legs Friday - Back & Biceps Saturday - Full Body Sunday - day off to rest, no classes Again, the shredmill is incorporated into every workout and it's great because the shredmill is designed to push yourself as much or as little

I read the reviews for IntensityX3 and decided to check it out since I always love a good kickboxing class. Since it was my first time there I had to take a 25 minute new members class with Ivy. There was one other newbie boxer in attendance and she went thru some of the punches and kicks she would be calling out in the 50 minute class that followed. While I've boxed before it was super helpful since there were a lot of different punches and kicks in the actual class. The 50 minute class was packed and clearly with many regulars. Ivy taught this as well and the first half of the class was kickboxing. She took us thru many high energy routines - it was fun and we broke a sweat! The second half of the class was all butt/legs. It was a great combo of cardio and strength and I left bummed that i was headed back to Chicago later that day since I wanted to go again. I"ll definitely be back next time I head home to South Florida! The studio itself isn't easy to find! They are located in the back of the Office Depot plaza, although the other side of Office Depot. Turn left before the Public Storage Building and look for the black awning. I had trouble, but called them and they stayed on the phone with me giving me solid directions. The only thing I didn't love was doing this workout barefoot, which they claim is better for your feet. I prefer to workout in shoes, especially when kicking backs and working with heavy weights. Perhaps it's just something I need to get used to, but everything else was solid!

When I first came in I was extremely intimidated. It was my first time ever walking into a non-conventional gym. However, all of the coaches were extremely welcoming, and helped me to become acclimated. There are so many athletes of different abilities, yet everyone seems to work together with one common goal in mind: to get better. Now, I've decided to no longer do CrossFit, but instead work with a coach at Hype to solely get better at Olympic Weightlifting. Despite the change in sport, the coaches are still extremely helpful, friendly and encouraging during open gym and the mindset of the community is still the same. Overall, CrossFit Hype is truly a special place, and there is no other gym like it.

He modifies the exercise if you have an Injury or have trouble doing it. Class sizes are generally small 10-12 people in the 6:30am class. This gives him more personalized time with each person. I have taken several private sessions so far and her instruction is elite. The reformer machines are a little different from others but I have learned are the most accurate to the truest form of Joseph Pilates, not to mention aesthetically pleasing and high quality. There are so many different apparatuses to explore, like the Cadillac and barrel. Every workout is different and challenging. I recommend Delfina and this studio if you want to hone in on the practice of Pilates through your form, technique, and the all important mind-body connection. She offers other group mat and reformer classes as well. Love everything about my experience at this studio plus it's supporting a local, woman- owned business.
