I've been a going to Slash for 9 months now and it's amazing to see the results and how much my body has been transformed. When I first started Slash I had been going to spin class 5 days a week, but had stopped doing weights due to a shoulder injury that I had sustained doing Crossfit so I was a little hesitant at first. I had purchased a groupon and figured that I would try out 10 classes and see how it goes. I am now ADDICTED and go every day. They offer many membership options from purchasing single sessions, to various size packages of sessions to unlimited monthly memberships, so there is an option for every level of commitment. Each 45 minute class varies depending on the day of the week , as well as the programming changes every month in three month cycles which consist of a strength phase , conditioning phase, and a performance phase ( to build cardio endurance ). So your body doesn't become used to any program and you continue to see results. The trainers at Slash are the most committed, knowledgeable trainers with AMAZING energy. They are ALL CERTIFIED and ensure that you are doing the exercises properly with the right form, so that you don't sustain any injuries. They are more than willing to modify any exercise if you feel uncomfortable doing something and give variations of each exercise so that people of all fitness levels can perform every movement. Each exercise is properly demonstrated by the trainer, and they watch each person in the class which is a big plus and each class is limited to only 20 people so you never have to worry about there not being equipment to use of enough space. Personal training at Slash is TOP notch. They have a separate side of the gym reserved for personal training, with state of the art equipment and everything is very clean. They offer 1/2 hr and hour sessions. Having personal trained at many other gyms, I always rave to all of my friends about how great the training is at Slash (Thanks Andy!!). If you want to reach your goals in fitness and go to a gym where the people actually care about you then Slash Fitness is the place for you! I've been training at Slash since they opened it and now they are my second family. This is the fourth gym I have trained at in my life and I can't picture myself leaving anytime soon. The trainers actually care about your goals and go through the journey of reaching them with you which is refreshing for a gym. I told them I wanted to start gaining weight and put on some muscle so immediately they made a group chat with 3 of the trainers in it and everyday they make sure i'm eating my fair share of food and giving me advice on what to be eating. From the day I told them that to now, I have gained 20lbs so far and continue to be gaining. I've done it all there, the classes, personal training, and even their open gym and it's welcoming and challenging for all levels. I can't stress it enough that if you haven't been to Slash yet, then you are missing something you can't live without. I have been going to slash for over 2 years now and can tell you this is by far the best gym in town. The staff is always there to help you, and they really want to see you get the most out of your workout. The trainers are always full of energy and always help push you to the next level. The classes are offered at a variety of times/days to accommodate anyone's schedule, and the workouts always change. This helps you never get bored of the same routine, and most importantly also shock your body so that you never get that plateau feeling you may experience at a regular gym. In addition to the classes that they offer, I recently hired one of the trainers for personal training. I have tried this in the past but never got the results that i wanted. At slash its next level. They will accommodate your schedule and find time to train you and will create a specific workout tailored to what your goals/needs are. Ask yourself. "Do I like to work out?" You'll answer "no." This is typical. Don't fret. You just haven't gone to Slash. The atmosphere at Slash makes you want to do burpees in the same way that going to a Ying Yang Twins concert makes you want to shake it like a salt shaker. I have been going to slash since it opened! I have also Known Austin and Joe, a lot longer an love their concept and them!!! I Train with Joe, and his knowledge is amazing, always something different. ANd I was so happy for them when they opened Slash! It is the best gym, in town, never boring always something different. This summer was my one year anniversary at Slash Fitness and I would like to take the opportunity to publicly give my appreciation and thanks to Slash - Slash is the most incredible and positive (and tough!) work out environment/family I've ever been a part of. I went for the first time and I must say I was very impressed. I had never been before and was greeted by a very friendly professional staff. They didn't just throw me right in, a trainer named Christina gave me personal one on one instruction and was so friendly and patient. She provided so much education and was a true fitness professional. When you go to one of these classes your getting a high energy high intensity session that is soo fun. I knew I accomplished a lot as I left super sore but I enjoyed every minute of it because of trainers with Christina. I strongly suggest taking her class. Slash is hands down the best gym in South Florida. After taking a class with Nick, I was hooked. His energy was fire and I absolutely loved it! The whole team of knowledgeable and motivating trainers have a way of pushing you to the next level, while making it a blast. You can't go wrong regardless of which trainer/class you jump into as they are all top notch! The owners, Joe and Austin, are very involved, huge in giving back to the community, and will serve you up an ass kicking class as well! I enjoy working out, but get bored of the "traditional" stuff, which everyone knows yields results. Pushing weights in a testosterone tripped-out environment, or flailing like an uncoordinated idiot at a Zumba class is NOT my style, so for some time I searched for the perfect hybrid of the core workout exercises and fun group setting...For some time I searched. After my first work out at Slash, I fell in love. it was everything I needed to keep me motivated. I fell in love with Slash the moment I walked through the door. The classes are soo full of energy and the various personalities are always welcoming. Everyone is extremely nice and always willing to help if your having any difficulties, but a very special thanks to my personal trainer and friend Tia Marie Hamilton who has pushed me to the next level every class and training session. (Especially "killer assets") lol. The strength training programs that she implements have allowed me to take all of my lifting to a new maximum. It's now almost 3 years with the Slash family and I couldn't be happier with the results. I attend classes 3-4 times a week and along with maintaining healthy eating habits I was able to lose 15 lbs and 5% body fat from August to November '15 (next combine to test is February 2016). I have been coming to slash and training 1 on 1 with Tyla since January. Coming there and working with Tyla has honestly been the best thing I have ever done for myself ! I was so nervous walking in there but she and the entire slash staff are so friendly and welcoming. Tyla convinced me to try one of her classes about 2 months ago, I have been OBSESSED since. She comes up with the best workouts. They push you to your limit , make you sweat like a beast and leave you feeling energized and excited for your day. Not only is the workout on another level but her attitude is one of a kind. My personal training with Joe (one of the owners) has changed my enthusiasm for training. Each time I go he does something different. It is not the same exercise every session and has made the world of difference to my strength and shape. For the first time I actually look forward to working out. Slash! Slash! Slash! This place is ridiculous. The trainers get you hype from the minute you walk in. The people in the class keep you going and help push past your limits. There is no place with the atmosphere slash has and the intensity slash brings anywhere. Trainers are always there for you and no matter which class you hit, you are getting it in. The whole concept is geared to our new world, that of safety and cleanliness. everyone has their own station that are separated 6-12' apart from others.
