I have gone here before and had a OK experience. Today was attitude and a horrible job. I went fir a full body wax. She was careless and missed spots on my face that I had to ask her to do. I had her stop after she did my underarms. I paid $90 and went to my car mirror and seen how horrible of a job she did. I told her I had daily cream on my face before she started. My first time here the manicurist completely ignored my requests and filed my nails in either the way she thought everyone would like or in the only way she knows how. I wrote her off as a poor employee and tried someone else, who I liked - until she cut me. Twice. Once on my foot. Once on my hand. Can't even chalk it up to a bad day since this happened on two different occasions. Why I went back after she cut me once, I can't say - my own stupidity. But I'm done with Posh now. DO NOT go to Posh Nail Salon if you want friendly, reasonable, quality service! This is long, but worth hearing to avoid disappointment. I purchased 2 We Deal certificates for a $28 manicure and pedicure (1/2 off regular price) last year. I went with a friend right away and we both felt the service was mediocre and the staff was somewhat unfriendly, but what the heck it was a $28 mani/pedi! I just recently came across my 2nd certificate and realized it expired on Sat 5/7. I called Posh on Monday, 5/2 to book my appointment. I spoke to the owner, Jean, who stated that they were almost completely booked for the week. She was however, able to book me a manicure on Fri. 5/6 at 3:30. Jean stated that they usually have cancellations and that she felt she would be able to work something out. On Thursday, 5/5 around 5PM, Jean called and said there was absolutely nothing she could do for me. She asked if I could be more flexible about the 3:30 time. I told her I would make myself available at anytime and then she immediately proceeded to say, "well, I have nothing available". Why did she ask if I could be flexible then? Since nothing seemed to be working out, I asked if she would be so kind as to extend her certificate into the following week. She responded very abruptly, " absolutely not" and started lecturing me on how I had a year to use this certificate and it's my fault that I was calling the week it expired. I told her that I would forfeit the pedicure and just come in for the 3:30 manicure that she had booked for me. This is when Jean got very unreasonable and said fine, but the manicure would cost me $18. According to her the We Deal was for a $28 manicure and pedicure so she would not honor it if I was only getting a manicure. What??? I paid $28 for a mani/pedi that the salon could not accommodate so she was going to charge me an addition $18 for a manicure. The bottom line is there was no way I was paying this lady a single cent more. I gave up trying to talk to this unreasonable business owner who has no idea what decent costumer service is and contacted We Deal directly. The staff at We Deal could not have been nicer! Apparently they have had some other complaints about Posh and the difficult owner. They apologized, credited my $28 immediately and said they had already flagged Posh's account so as not to do further business with them. In addition there is a Public Act (815 ILCS 505/2SS Sec .2SS. Gift Certificates and it states that: on or after 1/1/ 2008, no person shall sell a gift certificate that is subject to an expiration date earlier than 5 years after the date of issuance. I did bring this up to the owner at Posh during our conversation and she disputed it, but the customer service agent at We Deal did verified this to be true. So in reality I have 4 more years to use my Posh mani/pedi certificate. Ha, I wouldn't even go there if it was free! My advice stay away from Posh in Highland Park, there are plenty of other fabulous salons that offer higher quality service in a friendly, customer service oriented environment. read more

I love this place! Great location, friendly staff and they offer tons of skin treatments. Easy to make appointments and staff will go out of their way to accommodate your schedule. Krystyna is the best for facials and waxing. I heard all the staff is great too. They make you feel very welcome. Plan to go there for many years. read more

Best Massage and Eye Brows Wax in Highland Park Posh just stole Suzi form Spa City Nails. Lucky Posh! A "Suzi Massage"combines elements of thai, deep tissue and hot stone all together. It is truly heaven for an hour. I highly recommend Suzi for Massage One of the owners also can do wonders with eyebrows. She is quick and (almost ) painless. They just remodeled the space. Always accommodating even if your last minute! They believe the client comes first! More importantly they are the cleanest most sterile nail shop I've ever seen nothing is used twice and everything is clean.pedi's are a solid hour of bliss with long massages and decadent scrubs.janet does incredible facials and amazing brow wax.susie is perfect if you crave a deeper therapeutic massage.all in all this has become my one stop shop for all my beauty needs! Although I was able to get in almost immediately and the nail tech was friendly, I wish I would have never went. I work in the area and a lot of the women that visit my workplace go to Posh. I loved the chrome nail color they offer so I HAD to try it out. I had one nail that needed to be fixed because I cracked it and they charged me $13 to fix it. By fix, I mean put a patch on it and apply the chrome color. The rose gold is a horrible color and it was applied as if the nail tech didn't have much experience. The color is lumpy and uneven. I went to Posh for a manicure for the first (and last) time last week. Apparently they are very busy because they had 6-7 technicians who were all working away. I went with a friend who had been there before...and she had mentioned that she didn't like the type of manicure she had LAST time she was there. Before getting my nails polished, I went over to ask my friend which type of manicure she recommended (I couldn't yell across the room)! Owner, Janet, actually scolded me and told me I needed to "sit down-get back to my manicure-there was no time for talking". I couldn't believe it! I would give this place zero stars if I could. I went here because I purchased a deal on living social for $30 dollars worth of services because they don't list prices on their website I called before buying the certificate to see if it was worth it. I asked about pedicure prices and while they didn't want to give me prices I insisted I wouldn't come in without knowing they told me $28 for regular pedi and $35 for spa pedi. I thought great Ill pay the extra $5 on top of my deal for the spa pedi and made my appointment. The service was horrible and honestly I could have done a better job myself, the tech was rude and insisted on trying to shave my feet (which I don't need as my feet aren't bad and even if they were its dangerous and could lead to infection) despite my saying no numerous times I had to pull my foot away and tell her to keep that tool away from my feet. Then she began to talk about me as if I weren't there. I finished my pedi and just wanted to leave so I presented my certificate to the owner who the told me it would be $20 extra when I pointed out the certificate was for $30 worth of services and the pedi was $35 so it shouldn't be that much she told me the $35 dollars was for regular cash paying customers not deal holders. I refused to pay and walked out telling her I would be contacting living social about he bad business practices. I would never go here again not even if they offered free services. read more
