They were delivered this morning and the recipient loved it. I thought their delivery fee was very reasonable (much cheaper than the places in CA I have used!) and I appreciated that they emailed me to confirm it was delivered. Only reason for 4 stars is I wish I had a better idea of what I was getting. The description is only "designer's choice" but doesn't give any examples of what varieties to expect, the size/quantity of plants, or what container they will be in. Luckily, the pot is beautiful and fits the decor of the house it will be living in. I do think for the price I paid there could have been a better selection of succs, the one pic on their site shows colorful ones, but they were sent what looks to be two kinds of green ones. It definitely looks nice, but I wish the website had more details/options. Overall though, I am very happy with the delivery and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if I need to send flowers/plants in upstate NY.

She wanted a wedding with multiple day events (wine tour, welcome party, ceremony on the Cornell campus, two cocktail parties, reception and a brunch). We were also challenged with having 160+ guests from out of town. My daughter didn't want a traditional wedding banquet hall look, she wanted to have farm tables with lush greeneries and flowers, and lounge sofas for people to relax. It was hard to find a place around Ithaca to accommodate so many guests. Tara spent days with us in finding a perfect venue for the wedding. On the day of, we had photographers videographers, multiple banquet coordinators, bus drivers. Tara was amazing in coordinating everything and getting everyone to work together. She had 7 pages of the event schedule. She worked tirelessly to refine it with us, down to when food would be delivered for the bridal party to eat before the ceremony. At the end of the reception, when she saw I was going back to the hotel by myself, she personally drove me back. She then delivered flowers for the next morning's brunch to our B&B at 2am. On top of that, she showed up at the brunch to make sure everything was ok and helped us pack up everything. We had few crisis (or we thought) during the wedding, Tara was able to take care of them for us and more importantly calmed us down. All of our guests told us how much fun they had at the wedding and how beautiful the venue was. I think a lot of it was due to Tara's careful planning and diligence. I would highly recommend Tara as a planner for any special event.

While we signed on for the month-of package, Tara was so helpful in providing recommendations for additional vendors throughout our planning process who not only have worked market wedding before, but who would be able to help us create our exact vision for the day. Tara was responsive and always made herself readily available, whether it was well-before the month of our wedding or in the days leading up to it. As a self-described Type-A planner, I was so grateful to have Tara on top of everything especially the day before and the day of the wedding so that I could kick back and relax to enjoy such a special day. She executed everything perfectly, - including when a guest stepped on the bottom of my dress and broke off a bustle hook! Not only did she have safety pins of all sizes on hand, she perfectly pinned the dress back into its proper bustle so nobody could even tell! It's a more organized offspring of a thrift store and a church Bazaar. Nothing fancy, but they're true to their slogan,"Good stuff cheap". And cheap it is. Sometimes I find things that are less expensive than at Dollar Tree, only 4 doors down in the same Plaza. That said, you can't always find what you're looking for, but you often find something that you want or need. Hence, kind of like a church Bazaar. It's either maddening as heck or fun, as you sift through the bargains and wend your way to the back of the store to see if that close-out on carpets is something that you like. It's one of those polarizing places. Either you love it or you don't. Ollie's sells many name brand things, from Men's, Women's, and Children's clothes, to accessories, Health and Beauty aids, lawn and garden supplies, art, crafts, pet and school supplies. They have a nice book department, and sell things like Bible covers, Sudoku, crossword puzzles and word searches, as well as books for toddlers to adults. Yes, Ollie's even sells food. Nothing perishable, but you can find anything from Pink Himalayan salt, to candy, and cereal, to your favorite junk food, like pork rinds and cheese balls. I've even found jars of marinated bell peppers, huge jars of minced garlic, and if you like flavored coffee, I've even seen flavored coffee syrups and creamer. True, Ollie's might not have it all, but they sure have a lot of Good Stuff Cheap.

Yesterday I bought three blouses and asked a worker if I could use the self check-out or if I…read moreshould get in line for a person to help me. He said I could use the self-check out so I did. Unfortunately, when I got home, I saw that there were magnetic security tags at the bottom sides of the blouses. This was extremely inconvenient and I had hoped to wash them and start wearing them immediately. I had a busy day and rushed to the store this evening to get this fixed, and unfortunately arrived 10 minutes later than closing. I saw the same worker exiting and asked him if he could help me take out the tags on his way out and he said no, and that I had to come back again. He said sorry as I walked away. I just feel very frustrated that I need to come back a third time when this could've been wholly prevented; the self-check out machine could've informed me to go to an associate to take out the security tags before I left the store, and the security alarm could've gone off as I was leaving! What's the point of a security tag otherwise? I hope that this issue is addressed so it doesn't happen to anybody else.
