Blizzard is a large breed malamute, so it's not always easy finding sitters who are confident and experienced--but what really stood out is that they also have experience with large dogs. That made a huge difference for us. They followed all of our instructions, including administering his medication and reinforcing his commands, which we really appreciated. They were also comfortable using the tools we provided, like his prong collar, which honestly made me feel even more reassured that they know how to properly handle bigger, stronger dogs. They left the Furbo camera on in the living room as requested and were overall very respectful of our home. Not even as an add on service. It's literally just a bath and they dry your dog in a kennel dryer. But for $30 on top of boarding, I'll take that bath option any day of the week and brush my dog at home.

I came to find out it was the wife and she took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. I requested to book a tour and asked if my dogs could come. The tour: The tour went great! They took the time to make sure not to approach my dogs too hastily and towards the end, my husband and I felt comfortable leaving our dogs with them! We ended up booking and saw they had an amazing deal if we paid for a yearly membership, which helped give a discount to book the play room to have our 2 dogs stay in, along with a free walk for both of them (they typically potty outside and know not to potty inside). We booked the boarding for about 4 days and found out they partnered with a groomer! My dogs got the grooming and they LOVED It there. They really got comfortable playing with the other dogs and loved the owners. 10 out of 5 stars if I could!!! Our dogs were happy, smelled fantastic (thanks groomers!), and weren't even that excited to see us when we came to pick them up (which I was a bit sad, but extremely happy because that meant they really enjoyed their stay!). They took extra effort to ensure no other issues ever transpired and have been very true to their commitment. Regarding the dog/cat services we rely upon, the peace-of-mind and security afforded to myself and my family is well worth whatever fees Happy Paws needs to continue running. My pets are very comfortable with them and well tended. I had a dog that was terminally ill and it always broke my heart to leave for work, but I knew he was in good hands until the end when he finally crossed the rainbow bridge. I have a new pup and once again he is quite happy with every visit and my cat has also deemed them very worthy of her presence throughout this time. We have worked primarily with Jeremy and he has been very reliable, even reaching out to me about my own schedule when I spaced out any updates that he was expecting. He really cares for our animals and also respects our home without any worry.

This update is a bit overdue (this happened last year in April of 2025), but it's been a very tough…read moretime. The first couple times we used Sitter4Paws we had a really great experience with the sitters that were assigned to our senior, diabetic cat. Last year, my mother unexpectedly passed away, and our regular cat sitter was unavailable for half of the trip home. We booked Sitter4Paws the second half of the trip, and let them know about the circumstances and requested sitters that had seen Jodie before so that we could rest easy during a very difficult time. Of course we know that can't always be accommodated due to scheduling, so for the first visit a new sitter came to see Jodie. On the evening of my mother's passing, we got a text from Sitter4Paws that the sitter felt he may have made a mistake with our cat's insulin dosage. It was revealed to us that instead of giving her her normal 2.25 unit dose, he gave her 22.5 units - ignoring the taped off/labeled syringes, our explicit written instructions in the app, and additional photos/diagrams of what a full syringe should look like. Thank god he realized his mistake, otherwise our cat would have slowly died alone in our apartment - and this would have happened immediately after losing my mom. I understand mistakes can happen, but the fact that a sitter was uncertain with potentially life-threatening medication if administered improperly and didn't even think to reach out to us first was quite shocking. Sitter4Paws took full responsibility, admitted their mistake, said they would take steps to make sure something like this would never happen again, and covered her 4 day ER stay, but it never should have gotten to that point. Again - we did have great sitters who took care of our cat wonderfully - but the uncertainty of who you can get especially with medication involved means that we can no longer recommend this service with confidence.

Because of Remi's advanced age, her vet did not recommend boarding her. Since Remi receives sub-Q fluids twice a week and daily medication, we didn't know what we were going to do. Our vet recommended Chrystel and gave us her business card. From the moment I text her, Chrystel was professional and courteous and asked all the right questions I would expect from a professional. When she came over for the meet & greet and to go over everything we & Remi needed, we knew immediately we were leaving our fragile kitty in the right hands. We received a professional contract clearly listing what services Chrystel would be providing and subsequent cost. With each visit we received a text with the time window of when she would be arriving at our house. She would then text pictures and a status update of how Remi was doing. Chrystel's veterinary medical background & experience makes her an invaluable asset to anyone who needs help with their pets.
