I came to find out it was the wife and she took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. I requested to book a tour and asked if my dogs could come. The tour: The tour went great! They took the time to make sure not to approach my dogs too hastily and towards the end, my husband and I felt comfortable leaving our dogs with them! We ended up booking and saw they had an amazing deal if we paid for a yearly membership, which helped give a discount to book the play room to have our 2 dogs stay in, along with a free walk for both of them (they typically potty outside and know not to potty inside). We booked the boarding for about 4 days and found out they partnered with a groomer! My dogs got the grooming and they LOVED It there. They really got comfortable playing with the other dogs and loved the owners. 10 out of 5 stars if I could!!! Our dogs were happy, smelled fantastic (thanks groomers!), and weren't even that excited to see us when we came to pick them up (which I was a bit sad, but extremely happy because that meant they really enjoyed their stay!). Right when I entered, the owners were so friendly and welcoming, and I could tell by the inside of the building and their demeanor that this was a good place for my Covey. They let me know that at the end of each day they'll send a report card and photo updates of how my puppy was doing. Then I came across Phoebe's House on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Amy invited us for a meet‑and‑greet so he could get comfortable and we could see where he'd be staying. During his stay, she sent plenty of photo and video updates, and he honestly looked like he was having his own little staycation. He seemed relaxed, happy, and completely at home. Phoebe's House may cost a bit more than the larger boarding places, but the level of care and attention Amy and her family provides is absolutely worth it. Our boy came home content and well‑loved. An older couple greeted me with big smiles, and you can instantly tell they truly love pets. I spoke with the owner, who has over 30 years of grooming experience, and she really knew how to put my dog at ease. I take my dog for grooming every six weeks, so I can usually tell when a place genuinely cares, this one is on another level. She didn't rush anything. She spent time helping my dog feel comfortable in the new environment before giving him a very gentle bath. At that point, I felt completely comfortable leaving and coming back later. When I returned, my dog wasn't in a crate like at many other grooming daycares, he was freely roaming the waiting area. When I called him, he didn't rush over right away; he happily stayed by the owner's side. That alone said a lot. He came back clean, well groomed, and with his nails trimmed to a safe length. I will definitely be returning. One small downside: there was a very young receptionist at the front while the owners were working in the back. She didn't greet customers and was on her phone most of the time I was there. When I asked about the specials, she came across as dismissive. The owner later stepped in, greeted me warmly, and helped me with everything. I'm not sure if the receptionist is related to the owners, but her customer service could definitely improve. Overall, though, the grooming experience itself was excellent.

The shop itself is clean, and I liked that the grooming area is visible from the waiting area. The price was also very reasonable. When I visited on a weekday, it seemed like the owner was running the shop alone and was quite busy, so I'll probably make an appointment ahead of time next time. The dogs etc is puppy training, basic manners (for older dogs), Canine good citizen (a class to…read moreeventually try to pass that test), Therapy Dog (with testing) and agility for fun. You can take each 6 week, Saturday morning class for around $100. Or you can sign up for her club and come anytime to any class unlimited for a year for $400. I signed up for the unlimited. Its a great deal for unlimited classes. It's a treat based training system, which works great for food. She teaches "faking the dog out" in order to get them off the treats, but honestly this hasn't worked for me. My dog is much too smart for that. But It Seems To Work for Other dogs. It takes a lot of work to train your dog. She lists a lot on what she'll teach in each class, but I don't feel she covers everything. You really do need to ask if you need something specific. It'd be great if she offered classes not always Saturday morning too, I understand it, but it's limiting. I also think it'd be pretty cool if she taught thing like putting away toys. :D useful My dog has learned some things, I personally have learned more! It really is a great opportunity, but you have to follow through at home. It's not easy. Compared to petsmart, this is more bang for your buck and teaches you more. It's more up and close and Cindy is the sweetest! This is my experience-go try out a first class for free and you decide!
