My first (and last) visit to this salon. I'm pretty new to dog grooming and I am learning a lot. I expected the price would be in line with other groomers, especially since the website indicated my dog would be weighed and price would be according to weight. My dog weighs 15 pounds. I asked for a Teddy Bear Cut and when asked for a length I said "short" (due to our hot weather). My dog appears to have been shaved, although I am not an expert. Her hair is about 1/4 inches long, hardly like a Teddy Bear. I have since learned that experts recommend leaving an inch of hair on the dog for sun protection. The website also says allow two hours for a bath and haircut, and that she works on one dog at a time. So I imagined a carefully bathed and cut dog, right? She was done in an hour. For this I was charged $95. Oh, that includes $5 for tooth brushing, which was great and I appreciate. I also appreciated that I got a quick appointment online. read more

I brought my dog in for a haircut and explained that our girl had never been to a groomer (due to pandemic, etc). That's when the groomer started her heavy sighs. She asked what type of blow dryer we used and when I explained we towel dried our dog, the next series of heavy sighs, accompanied by head shaking "no's" commenced. Wish I could give ZERO Stars! Don't waste your time if you have a Medium to Big dog!!!!!!! Called to get my pit bulls nails clipped. Girl told me it would be $15 and she could take us now. I got my dog in the car and drove over very happy to find someone close to where I live. When I got there she asked if my dog "would be good". No. That's why I'm here at a "professional" or else I'd do it myself. I asked "don't you have muzzles?" Her response "yea we do but I DONT WANT TO DEAL with a wiggly big dog" ... Really?!?! You could have mentioned that you don't deal with "big dogs that wiggle" (don't all dogs wiggle???) when I called. So I still have a dog with long nails and a BAD TASTE for this place. read more

I have 2 senior chihuahua males and they can be quite grumpy when getting thier nails trimmed. I have been taking them to the groomers at Posh Pets for thier entire lives and they always get the job done along with a good bath and brushing! I recently had one of thier coats trimmed, (a chihuahua "haircut") and he was so happy and comfortable afterward, he loved it and so did I! They are never afraid and always enjoy thier visit. I am a real dog lover and honestly quite picky about how my dog is cared for. The team at Posh Pets in Santa Rosa always does a great job on the cut of my ("Malshi - Maltese Shih tzu Mix) - Saydee. She always comes out so cute and sparkling clean. They are very sensitive with my dog and take good care of her during her groom which is equally important to me. Posh Pets is also very accommodating with my often hectic schedule. I drive 45 minutes each way just for their services and it has been worth the drive. They are so very nice to me and my pooch. It is a cute clean shop too. Saydee seems relaxed upon departure and likes to show off. read more

The owner trimmed our little Shih Tzu exactly how the vet wanted him trimmed due to his uncanny ability to pick up fox tails and stickers. Feet trimmed up high and tight, body hair short. She does this and still makes him look cute. read more

Absolutely love Posh Pets. Carol is always very accommodating with getting our dogs in at the last minute. She is usually quite busy, but will make it work if she knows we need them done soon. Our dogs are always happy when we drop them off and when we pick them up (they have been to some salons were they had anxiety going into the salon, but that is NOT the case at Posh). They always look good and she is always happy to make adjustments to their cut if we would like something a little bit different. They smell great and are perfectly clean after each appointment! I've brought my two corgis here twice (so far). Carol has been great with them. They are always so handsome when they are done and smell quite nice. :) I live nearby and sometimes need appointments fairly quick (as I realize my dogs are stinky and they shouldn't be on my bed until they get a bath!) I am very surprised by the positive reviews. I took my dog here and was very disappointed, I will not return. My dog was not matted and gets groomed monthly and brushed daily. When I dropped her off I was shocked to see that they put a choke chain on her. They then place all of the dogs in cubbies mounted on the wall and the dogs are held in by a choke chain. My dog has never worn a choke chain and even with a flat collar she has a tendency to choke herself. At most grooming salons dogs wait for grooming in crates, which is much safer. My dog's coat was trimmed way too short and the cut was very uneven. She had many clipper nicks on her back and neck and was very traumatized, shaking and upset when I picked her up. I do not recommend this place if you care about the physical and mental health of your pet. read more

This is the second time we've brought our dog here. The first time, they seemed to do a good job so I decided to take our dog back (it had a been a while since our last visit). I called around 9am to see if they could groom our dog that morning and have him done before noon. The man on the phone said that would be no problem, as long as I came now. I got there within 15 minutes. When I walked in there was a lady (who I'm guessing is the owner) and a man (who I'm guessing was the guy who I originally spoke with). The owner asked me to fill out paperwork, and then her phone rang. She talked on the phone while I was filling out the paperwork- which I thought was unprofessional- if you are helping a customer, tell your friend you will call them back later!!! The man was just sitting in front of a computer and didn't offer to help me. I was standing there for a few minutes without anyone acknowledging me- I had a question about when I should come back to pick up our dog. The owner finally took a hint and hung up with her friend. When I asked my question she answered, "He should be done by 1pm." I said that doesn't work for me- when I called earlier he told me that you could be finished by noon." She got frustrated , saying that it usually takes 3 hours and she doesn't know if she could get it done. I said that I wouldn't have come if that was the case. Don't tell me you don't have time, when you have an employee just sitting in front of a computer!!! I haven't even picked up my dog from the groomers, but know already that I won't be coming back here. I agree with a previous post about the choke chain and cubby set-up in the back area. It didn't seem like a good idea to me either. read more

I have been taking my two dogs here since 2007. I wouldn't take them anywhere else! My dogs know when I pull up to the front of the store where they are. They love going there, and are very happy when they get home. They always smell so good; I can never get them to smell that good :). This is the best place to get your dog groomed! I was looking for a new groomer as mine recently retired. I saw a coupon and thought that is a good way to get an introduction to a new salon. I called and spoke to a lady that explained the services. I mentioned that my coupon said to tell her at the time of making the appointment and she said, "I do not have any open coupons at this time, what is the expiration date"? I said, "there is no reference to an expiration date" and she said in a snotty voice, "I guess I can honor it". I said, "no thanks, you do not sound like a good fit".
