This is not the best nail salon! As a person who has been coming to this nail salon for 8 years the customer service is terrible. Coco has always done a great job on my nails. However, today I didn't like the shape of my nail. I asked Coco to fix my nails. She refused to fix my nails and then preceded to say I have to pay extra to fix my nails when I've already just paid her $85! I've been going here for two years now I love Coco and recently when Coco is away sometimes I have to use Michelle, who is also wonderful. James is the manager and always answers the phone very friendly. I normally get a massage I a massage chair while I get my nails done because honestly that's the only way to go... it's better to have an appointment. You can't just show up on a whim. $23 + tax for a terrible regular manicure. I don't get the hype of this place. I've had mediocre experiences but have it another shot this past Saturday. Granted, I went without an appointment, I'm fairly certain they threw me to their newest/ least experienced tech. Uneven nails, poor cuticle care, polish is thick, top coat was applied too thick as well resulting in air bubbles through out the manicure. I've been going here for almost 20 years. I missed one tip because they switched to Venmo and I tip $10 on a $17 service so I am more than generous. They called me out for it in front of the entire salon and when I said I would Venmo it when I left he asked me to stand there and Venmo in front of him. Needless to say, I won't be back. Had I left my review after leaving Tulip I would have given it 5 stars as I thought Natalia did a beautiful job on my gel nails. They were neat, evenly coated and close to the cuticle. However, after only 2 days they tips started to chip off. I was not in lots of water nor was I doing anything that would explain this. Typically gel nails last a week or two before it chips on me. I then realized she did not put tell on the edges/tips of my nail as others salons have done to protect from chipping! I will say something if I see this happen somewhere else. I may give them another try with a different stylist as it's convenient, clean and lots of amazing gel colors. read more

THEY BLOCK NUMBERS! But the girls here do an amazing job, and I was really happy with the quality. However the management here mistook me for another customer who also goes by the nickname "Dee" and actually blocked my number. And the way I was confronted about this mixup was very rude and unprofessional, i came in for a refill and the manager accused me of missing my last appointment with Katie and i was out of the country for the date in question. I was very taken aback by the hostility and rudeness. I've brought it to their attention multiple times that when I call through my cell phone, the phone rings once and then disconnects. But using any other phone number to call, the calls goes through...I can't understand why they blocked my phone number. I spend close to $200 everytime I go and tip the ladies that work on me with over 20% cash tip. I tried to not get upset over this but I've brought this to their attention multiple times and the main lady there acts completely confused every time i mentioned that when i call my phone call doesn't go through... Just tried to call again to make an appointment and my number is still blocked and called using my work number and they answered right away when trying to ask why my number is blocked the lady aggressively questioned if i want an appointment ir not. So very rudely. ...I don't know if this place is just racist or what but the women who answered the phone claims to "only answer the phone" and was incredibly rude about it. And I know she manages the other ladies there or is a owner. Anyway there are so many places to choose from. They lost a customer today but it is no reflection on the ladies that actually work there. And the saddest thing is I recommend them to so many friends and family and have brought them so much business. I was shocked to read that Sunny is running the salon, because I had a horrible experience there yesterday. I went to get a mani & pedi with my daughter on Mother's Day. The pedi was fine, but during the manicure she cut me twice while trimming my cuticles. The first one was minor, the second was not. It would not stop bleeding and it really hurt (still does the day after). I finally had to tell her to leave it alone. I was shocked when she brought my bill and charged me anyway. Finding out that she runs the salons means she could have comped the manicure. I paid it anyway and tipped her for the pedicure, which I now wish I hadn't done that. This has quickly become the the only salon I go to! It's pretty affordable and they have really done a lot to revamp their service under new management. Regular pedicures they set a timer so you get a decent amount of a massage. They also offer you water or green tea when you're getting your nails done so a great touch. I go here once a week for regular manicure - the place is clean n the ambience is calm. They do a good job of a standard manicure (they don't really take a lot of the cuticles out, unless you ask for it- usual American manicure). They are over booked & do not honor appointments. If you have an appointment, you still have to wait 20 minutes. They also turn down services that you make appointments for & tell you "they don't have time, sorry" even though you made an appointment for that particular service! One poor woman was about to start a manicure & they asked her to come back later when 2 people walked in after they already started taking her polish off! First of all, the manager, Sunny couldn't be lovier! That's where the 1 star comes from. My daughter and I went for manicures and pedicures with an appointment in place. We were served immediately so that was great. We had our services, however, both of our manicures were chipped by the following morning. When we wanted a basic mani/ pedi we were pressured into having a more elite pedicure. We complied. The polish applied to our toes (6 days later) is coming off as well. There are very short and not well performed should massages. We will be returning to our regular nail salon in Wilton. Don't waste your money or time here. read more

Most of their customers are women, but I see enough guys there by themselves that I don't feel awkward going in solo if my better half isn't around.
