I went for a gel removal and manicure for some polish that I had on for about 6 weeks (previously done by them). I was unable to come in earlier due to commitments in my personal life, so I was excited to feel like myself again. The nail tech was nice; however, she over filed the tops of my nails way past the necessary point. At one point, the filing cut my cuticle, and I began bleeding. She continued to file despite all the gel being long gone, and eventually, she filed through most of my thumb, leaving me in severe pain. At this point, I made her stop and noticed how red and irritated the rest of my nails were. I was in pain and upset to the point where I was crying in the salon, and the nail tech said that it was my fault for having the old polish on for too long. So everyone else in the salon who saw this happen thought I was just being dramatic. They just put a strengthener on my nails, and I did not have to pay. I later had it looked at by a medical professional who said that what they did was negligent, so I spent the next week having to constantly ice my nails to reduce the redness. Since then, my (previously healthy) nails have been very brittle and are breaking. So now, 3 weeks later, my nails are short, brittle, ugly stubs. Not just a bad-looking manicure, but their negligent behavior led to pain. Go somewhere else next time. read more

I googled "eyelash extensions in Greenwich" because I'm a former resident. I called and was able to get an appt that day. I was immediately greeted , filled out a form and was introduced to Eddie. Yes, a guy !!' After a nice, detailed conversation on what I wanted to look like, a look I wanted to achieve, he went to work. We chatted about all kinds of topics - my 1hour 15 minutes app flew by. When he was done I was handed a mirror!!!!!! Amazing!!!!!!!!! I look like I have a nice even layer of mascara on. No freakish, fake looking lashes. Service received: gel nails with extensions I believe it was $100 then $20 nail art. They gave me 20 % off for new customer and then I paid cash so another discount. I'm not one to leave negative reviews but I just can't seem to like any nail salons here. It's overpriced and they don't do a good job. I recently moved to CT from Florida and had a good place that did Sns dip powder nails and it lasted a month with no lift. I also get my nails done in Manhattan, Chicago, lA, and Hawaii when I visit but look for Japanese nail tech. These salons are no where compared to the places I have been. They don't clean my cuticles and my nails lift in less than a week. One nail came completely off in two days! Some nails the polish really didn't cover till the cuticles. She uses a sculpting gel for the base and then used a color gel for the color. She said it would last longer but it didn't. I think it just makes the nails look thicker since it was a thick coat of that gel. Then the hand massage was a minute. I had asked for nail art and it wasn't the same as what I had before. Realize that CT does not require nail techs to have a license. someone told me that posh doesn't clean their instruments well when busy...they will take short cuts. read more

Last last week my daughter and I went to Posh Spa for a manicure. Later that night, I realized that my very valuable bracelet was missing. I drove to the parking lot of Posh Spa to look for it but found nothing. After a sleepless night, the next morning I went to Posh Spa and spoke to the lovely young woman at the desk explaining that I had lost my bracelet. She said that they hadn't found anything. I then went to the police station to see if anyone had turned it in. No luck. I decided to go back to Posh Spa again. I asked for everybody's attention and (practically crying) I asked the group of employees if anyone had seen my bracelet. A young man who works there walked over to a high shelf behind the desk and held up MY BRACELET!! I was so grateful and emotional. I tried to give him money but he wouldn't take it. The next day I went back and insisted that Adam take the money. I give this spa high praise and hope you give them consideration. They are honest and kind and gave me a great manicure! read more

I went for a manicure with my own (brand new) polish in the hopes that it would help my manicure last longer and I am so disappointed with the results. All of my nails have visible layers of polish. Something that should not happen when nail polish is fresh. This is the most uneven manicure I've ever received - I would expect way more from a $12 service. I've found that because I'm not a regular here that I am not treated with as much attention as other customers. I'm often ignored or rushed out the door if it's close to closing time. I thought I'd give posh another chance and after this experience I have to say I will not be going back. I liked going because the new space is really beautiful and feels super clean but I'll be looking for another place in town from now on. I do not recommend. read more

I get my lashes done here consistently with Ashley and she does an amazing job. My lashes usually last me 3-4 weeks and the price is not bad for the quality you receive. I hated the service. The lady who did my nails was very distracted and forgetful. I have to help her reminding which finger to start, she forgot that I wanted my cuticles done and went straight to the massage and painting, then she was leaving a lot of missing spots which I complained about it and she did 3 coats which made it really thick and hard to dry off, so after more than 30 minutes it was still wet and I got it screwed doing things! The last couple of times that I have went to get a gel manicure and pedicure was absolutely a waste of money. The employee was rushed and the nail polish that they use for gel is either old or cheap. I got my nails done two days ago and my manicure is already chipping to the point where I am going to have to get my nails done again this week. Very disappointed! I came here on Saturday to have my nails done (I drove from New York as the salons are still closed here so I was SUPER excited about this). Upon entering the staff were really rude and barley acknowledged me. I had gel nails done by a guy (didn't get his name). He never asked me if I needed them cut, he filed them very poorly and spent hardly any time doing this, he never once asked if I was happy with the shape. The gel is already chipping. He then also did my pedicure, which was rushed and lasted 15 mins. He kept looking around him and talking to other staff members when doing my pedicure and did not even file them :( I was so disappointed throughout the appointment as I had been waiting literally months to have my nails done again. I was never asked if I was happy with shape, color or if I wanted a massage! The service was shocking and i will NEVER return or recommend this place. read more

Just went here for the first time. I'm new to the area and hoping to find a new quality nail / lash salon for regular reoccurring visits. Eric did a full set of lashes on me and he did a proper consultation to understand the look I wanted. I've been to a few different lash places in the past- chains, private small businesses - and so on- and honestly this was the best service yet. I could tell Eric was being very diligent. He was working efficiently yet carefully. I could tell he was very experienced based on how the service felt. Not messy at all. No mistakes. I am pretty sure he kept checking for any places too sparse over and over to make sure everything stuck and I had a very even look. The design he did was really pretty and natural and it was exactly what I had imagined in my head (even though I really didn't give him too much info he made great choices). I can't tell you how many times I've tried other places and that wasn't the case. And, I woke up today, the next morning- I didn't notice ANY stray lashes that fell out from sleeping. Sure I was careful but the lashes look so dainty and not chunky with glue. With them being so dainty you usually get a few on the pillow case. I'm not saying it didn't happen but I didn't see any- which is great. So, I bet these lashes will hold up as they should. I also got a gel manicure while there by someone else. My friend made an appointment for her and I to get our nails done together after work at 6:15. She arrived right on schedule and was told her reservation was at 6:00. I was standing next to her when she was on the phone with a woman at the front desk and she repeated 6:15 back to us. As I was right behind my friend, I walked into Posh Greenwich only to be chased down by the woman at the front desk stating the name tag Libby... this could have not been more unprofessional. LIBBY came up to us while I was getting ready to take a seat so that Sonia the lovely lady can start my gel manicure. LIBBY aggressively told us that we were late for our appointment while my friend was already seated getting her gel manicure by Kim who we love, they were both very surprised by the way she was acting towards us. This behavior is not professional nor what we ever expected from a spa that is supposed to be luxurious. This was not luxury. She gave me the option to either get my nails done or leave. As I decided to not get my manicure and was clearly visibly upset by this rudeness of Libby - Kim and Sonia went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. They were both kind, polite, genuine, as well as very talented - they convinced me to still get my manicure as Sonia had all of her things ready for me so I changed my mind. We were not the only customers that were getting our nails done at the time, there were about 8 or 10 people still receiving treatments. While Sonia and Kim were working on our nails another employee comes up to us and was asking for payment, we couldn't provide payment because we were literally getting our nails painted. She points to our handbags and goes are these yours? Then goes over to dig into our bags without applying hand sanitizer for I'm guessing our wallets, while my friend was like wait... because her card for payment was in her coat pocket that she was wearing. The woman then reaches into my friends coat pocket for the card and rushes back to the counter! After the ladies finished our nails I went up to the front desk and I asked Libby for the owners information and these were her own words, "The owner does not have an email or a phone number". She then asked me for my information so that the owner can get in touch with me, and I have yet to received a call or email. This is by far the worst experience I have encounter in a luxury nail spa. read more

Ok, so I left a pretty bad review yesterday after having a bad massage. The manager called me this morning and offered me a complimentary massage with her top masseuse. I was kind of reluctant and didn't' want to waste my time after my previous experience, but I thought it was a nice gesture on her part so I said ok. (And i'm Looking for a good masseuse). I went back in today with a different person, named Danny, and it was a really good massage! I was very happy. He understands the body and how to resolve different issues/pain. Way over priced for the service. Called ahead to confirm 3 different services, one express facial scrub (40 mins $75) and two stone massages (60 mins. $90) Before my daughter went in for her facial, I was asked to upgrade the service to which I firmly said "No thank you". At the time of payment I was charged for an hour long facial and was told that she had to do additional extraction! I did not agree to that and I was very clear to only charge for what I originally came in for. Took some back and forth conversation before they reduced to fee to the original price. My niece and I went in to get the stone massages. One man worked on my niece while a woman began the massage on me. It became clear that this woman was not properly trained in massage since she was either hurting me or tickling/patting me with no typical pattern and defined no comfort. I asked her if she was a certified massage therapist and she answered "yes". The masseuse massaging my niece quickly responded "yes" as well. I thought I would give my masseuse one more chance and I gave her some guidance for what was comfortable for me but she continued this very uncomfortable massage. At that point I had to ask her to stop and I asked if I could please see her certification/license. She said she would go get it and left the room. About five minutes later another woman came in and introduced herself and said she would take over the massage. I asked what happened to the first masseuse and did that mean she was NOT certified/licensed? The only response I got was "I don't know" but this new masseuse proceeded to show me HER certification. This led me to believe that the first "masseuse" was not licensed!!! I CANNOT believe, for that rate in this "exclusive" spa, they would have someone give massages who are not appropriately trained!!! Aside from that, their stone massage barely used hot stones (maybe a solid ten/15 minutes out of the entire one hour massage). They also spent the majority of time on the backside only while neglecting the front side. Go elsewhere if your looking for great massage. I would say this was mediocre and certainly not worth the $$. Only good thing I could say is that the spa was very clean and that the woman who gave my daughter the facial was very kind to her even though she gave extra services that we did not ask for/agree to and then tried to charge us for that. read more
