I love Poshy Paws and my Dog Everest loves Poshy paws. They have always done an amazing job on her and she gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot. I was very nervous the first time as Rough collies are becoming rare and finding a groomer that knows how to groom them is also becoming rare. But any worry was cast away when I picked her up. They made her look even more stunning than I thought possible. Everyone I have recommended them too also shares my opinion. They do a great job and have always made my dog feel safe in their care. The picture of Everest in the grass is 3 months after he groom. The way her trim was cut has also made her coat look beautiful long.

Luna went to Poshy Paws for the first time today and loved it! She was groomed by Ashley, who was very kind and patient with our pups excitement and energy. I let her know what kind of cut we wanted for Luna, she accommodated our request perfectly, and was done in just a couple of hours. Thank you, Poshy Paws! P.S. Excuse the blurry photo, Luna was super excited to be free from all the excess hair. (:

TL:DR Poshy Paws hurt my dog, and was extremely rude to me. Don't go there! Stanford and Anakin had the groom from Hell at Poshy Paws last week. The owner groomed stan herself. Honestly Stan's haircut wasn't bad, but issues came about a week later when Stan started licking his pen15 obsessively. Upon further inspection I saw what looked like the beginning of an infection and that he had completely licked the area raw. Inoticed that the hair just on that one area was much shorter than the rest of the sanitary area. It was very likely shaved nearly bald and he only started licking now because the hair was starting to grow back and get itchy. I told the owner what I found and that I was concerned about possible infection. She was instantly defensive and treated me like a child, interrupting me etc. She claimed they only use a 10 blade on the sanitary area, but if that were true, why was the tip of his "part" so much shorter than the rest of his sanitary area? Also Stan has never had this issue before. She tried to say that the irritation was because he has a very bad skin problem. My dog has dry skin. Many dogs do. She then tried to tell me that he was extremely matted and his "part" was, and I quote, "gunky." Stanford's fur has a tendency to get tangles or teeny mats that easily can be cut off, but not down to the skin. The gunk on the other hand... yeah he gets a little crusty down there. So I asked her why didn't she clean the gunk first before SHAVING IT OFF OF HIS PENIS and she said they never clean the dogs until all mats are removed. She admitted to shaving the "mat" off of that area before cleaning it so she most likely had to shave close to the skin to get all the crusties off which would explain the shorter hair and the clipper burn/irritation. Eventually she looks at me and (rudely) asks why I'm there and what I want. I told her that I want to continue using their services, but I think I'm owed my next groom free. She says "I am NOT grooming your dog for free" so I said okay and walked out. She then blocked me on Facebook so I couldnt leave a review there, and posted a very unprofessional post about the situation and another local business On top of this all, they didnt(or barely) trimmed his nails and didn't pluck/shave his ears as I asked

    Lilow @PoshyPaws groomed by Chanel.

My pup Lilow loves getting taking care of by Chanel. Every time we go he has a good time. I have seen pups have a rough time at other places, being very anxious and looking like they endured something rough. The last time Lilow went to Poshy Paws, he loved it so much he didn't even run to come meet me. He was all chilling out and loving the vibe there. Easy to see their location from the street also.

This place was recommended to us by a local vet clinic when we needed a new groomer. I was apprehensive choosing a new groomer because pet safety is my primary concern. Poshy Paws didn't have a page, and they're vet recommended so I gave them a try. It's only a couple minutes off JBER. The shop is clean and has pink curtains/lights in the windows. I immediately knew my dog would be in good hands. You make an appointment over the phone and bring in (or email) your vaccine record. I took my Great Pyrenees in yesterday to be bathed and groomed after her very long car trip up here. Her back legs were kinda matted and she needed to be cleaned up. Poshy Paws did a great job on her. She feels softer and looks more put together. It was $95 for her weight category, which is competitive pricing for Anchorage. I also love that they don't kennel the animals. They take only a couple pets at a time and keep them in a darling play area while dogs wait for their human. We already booked our next appointment!

Bummer, so made the extra trip and it's exactly set up like the one off Diamond and as I enter the cashiers greet you and ask "Is there anything they can help you find?" Very nice. It was basically where my dog food is at the other store so easy. If your a Rewards member, you give them your phone number as you earn money back. They even give you the option of emailing the receipt ... love that! I opt for it every time - save a tree! Great and helpful. Oh, they run specials and inventory clearances too. Clearances is usually up by the front checkout to catch your eyes. Take a peek once in a while you never know.

Choppy in some places, long and uncut in others, nails not done, and the dog was not ready when promised. When calling Petsmart the following day, t received a recording that said, "This number is not accepting calls at this time. Please try again later." I tried to contact the store ten times over two days and received the same message. Since they will not answer the phone, I will go in and try to remedy the problem in person. I have dim hopes for any equitable resolution. if you take your pet to that store for anything other than food, you'll going to be sorely disappointed. Read the other reviews.

The staff here is a group of loving, patient and caring people. I've been here with both my pups…read moreover the past 6 months for shots, illness and general check ups and general check ups and my floofies love the attention they receive. They've been great with me having to schedule and reschedule then repeat again in summer, (my job gets brutal in summer), and they roll with it without making me feel bad. Prices are the same as everywhere but my pet insurance helps. I recommend this VCA to anyone wanting quality care for their fur babies.

If you're a full-blown Asian person, don't bother coming here. One of the receptionists will yell…read moresomething they probably considered a "greeting", and you won't be able to make out what the hell they yelled. And a nicer receptionist next to her will say, "Someone will be with you shortly." If you're super unlucky like me, an older nurse with glasses will check on your pet with you and then yell, "It's a China shop in here!" as she finishes up and opens the door to get the vet doctor. That was the first visit. And the receptionist one was the second visit. I've been here a total of three times and they don't ever really welcome me like they welcome any other person that's not Asian. The vet herself is somewhat nice. But if you can, and if you're a full-blown Asian like me, find a different place. The non-Asians are good to go from what I've seen! :) I missed my appointment this week because I was busy, but I'm just going to take this opportunity to find a new place. Hopefully I'm not so unlucky that all the vets in Anchorage are like this. Only moved here 4 months ago and it's not looking too good!
