Been eating pizza here since 2007 and it's still as good as the first time. Personally I like the greasy mozzarella cheese! Most pizza places use mostly provolone and it's just not the same! Possum Holler piles on the toppings and I am NEVER disappointed. Recently I have been trying to watch my carbs and they made me a "crustless " pepperoni and cheese in a pan and it was great. I've lived in several states in my life, and have tasted a LOT of pizzas, and possum holler is hands and away my lifetime favorite!!! I get a double cheese meat lovers, and the toppings are LOADED on, and delicious!! My wife usual gets double cheese and pepperonis, with banana peppers; she is one of the pickiest eaters on this planet, and she is devoted to the Possum, and wouldn't eat anywhere else! Consistently the best pizza I've had. They don't hold back on the toppings. The subs are great. The Dominator is amazing(My Personal Favorite). No other pizza place beats Possum Holler. Pizza was over priced and no where near as good as what the reviews on here would lead someone to believe. Would I go there again? If it was the only pizza place available and I didn't have a frozen pizza to make... I MIGHT go there again. The short and skinny is the sauce seemed watered down with not much flavor beyond tomato paste and the crust was more like a cracker than a bread. Not impressed at all. Greasy, cheesy deliciousness. First time trying and despite the long wait for delivery it was worth it. They even have a credit card reader when they deliver the pizza which makes it easy instead of having to tell all your credit/debit card numbers over the phone. read more

Ordered pizza and garlic bread a few nights ago and was told it would take 30 to 45 minutes. Almost two hours later it shows up close to 10 p.m. the food was stone cold! The delivery driver looked at us stone cold serious and asked for a tip! Called to tell about the food temp and admittedly was asked if we wanted another order sent. We work at 530 am and had to go to bed and was told we would be credited. Ordered again for tonight and when they arrived the delivery driver, who was nice enough, said they only have us down for a $10.00 credit not our full order, of nearly 40 bucks for garlic bread and a large pizza, and refused to make it right. Shady shady shady. The delivery driver even admitted they would just throw away the food when getting back since I ABSOLUTELY REFUSED to pay what was owed to me. Never ordering again. read more

Staff was very very rude! Hung up on me twice when we had a problem with our order. We waited an hour and a half for a cold pizza and missing garlic sauce and only half our sodas! She acted like I was trying to get something for free! She told me I could call the owner tomorrow. Her only explanation was that they were busy. We decided to take the pizza back instead of continuing to wait for our replacement at witch point she cussed me out then called the POLICE on me for waiting there for my pizza. We have been ordering from possum for over 5 years and never had this experience. We will never NEVER patron this establishment again! read more

Service has just been getting worse since the ownership change. Just waited over 2 hours, 3 phone calls to them. only to be told that they couldn't find me. Maybe if you had ask for my phone number you could have contacted me? I gave you the wrong address? The address was correct, you were just inept. How can you blame the customer when my company orders from you almost weekly? You know where the entrance to the campus is. and maybe you should try being a little bit nicer and more helpful on the phone. I understand you are busy but customer service is key to a small business. I used to love you guy, i really don't understand what happened to you. I just moved to the Alum Creek area and decided to try this place out when I was waiting on the movers to arrive at our new house. Super friendly people who get your order right. The inside is kind of, well, not the kind of place I'd stay and eat my dinner at. They told me that they're re-doing it and expanding the place, but from the comments I see here on Yelp, that's been in their plans for the last few years. I won't hold my breath that it'll be done soon. They're really nice on the phone and seem to have a good size delivery area. The crust is not thin - so if you're looking for Donatos thin crust pizza, this is NOT it. It's thicker crust, and there's plenty of sauce and cheese on it. They don't skimp on the toppings, either. The garlic bread with cheese was my personal favorite. My husband is the kind of guy that loves Flyers, so I thought he would hate this place, but he said it was good, which surprised me. I can't vouch for their delivery service/times because I only went to go pick it up, but I'll definitely be back! read more

Gave it 2 stars because the garlic bread was pretty good. Otherwise, the cheese on the pizza was so thick that it slid off with cutting and with every bite..We found ourselves eating crust and sauce -and the sauce was too sweet. It's Chicago cut. It was fun to watch trains go by and the staff was very friendly, but this place should be considered as take-out only until renovations are done. read more

I have been going to Possum Holler since I was a child. There is nobody who can make an "All the way" pizza like they do! It's always done perfect and also more like a full course meal :) It has always been my childhood favorite and still my fav as an adult. I have passed the tradition down to my children. I really like their pizza. I only patronize establishments that deliver. I have a menu from PHP that says that they are open until 1 am on Fri. and Sat.. They are open until 12 am for the remaining days. Today, a Friday, I tried to order some food for delivery. I called at 11:30 and was told that PHP does not take any delivery orders within a half-hour of their closing. Out of the last five times I have called PHP for food, I have been able to get a pizza from them once. I really do like their pizza, but I hate their customer service. The woman I have talked to on most of my calls to PHP has tap-danced on the line between 'customer service' and condescension. I did finally get their 'delivery rules' explained to me tonight. I need to order food at least a half hour before they close (I need to get a menu from them that has their real hours), I also need to order food from them on a night that they don't let their drivers off for the evening (that has happened to me twice). I really like their food, I really hate the woman giving me grief for trying to order food from them. You get two stars for how good the food is if you can get it. read more
