I've enjoyed Angelina's Villa for many years and they have yet to disappoint. I'm talking the early 2000s, when my boys were little ones, playing city-league football and soccer. We stopped by Angelina's on many occasions after games to enjoy that sausage and pepperoni pizza, which is the family standard and favorite. I keep telling myself that I'll stop being a creature of habit and try something else, but I fail miserably, the minute that smell greets me at the door. The restaurant is always kept clean and they have a good track record of employing the kindest people who will always work with you, no matter what the situation. As the boys got older, we found ourselves dining at other restaurants to make sure we were giving Columbus a fair shake and trying whatever else was out there. Still, coming back to Angelina's, we always get that great saucy, flavorful taste that we've always enjoyed. If you look at the photo I submitted, you'll see that they're not stingy with the ingredients, which are cooked perfectly. They're also cut in squares, which is I how I'm used to, growing up in the Chicago area. They also offer great specials, including a BOGO special if you use the Entertainment book. That's something no one should turn their nose at. I promise, when I finally get it together and try something else like the sub sandwich or stromboli, I'll update my review for your information.

This is what you call quality pizza. Fresh and clean toppings.

Clean restaurant. The employees are doing a fine job. I went in kind of late 1025pm, as the night was ending 11pm on a sunday. Usually employees get grumpy at the end of night shift. As hungry customers come into the restaurant before closing, causes restuarants to stay open a little later. I am knowing this from industry experience. Lol Anyway this post is about the quality pizza i ordered. The toppings was filled to the edge and not skimpy. 12 inch pizza with everything. The price was fair & reasonable. I would return only to this pizza restaurant compared to other companies being closer to my location. The drive and extra effort is worth, the quality i received. Thank you Angelina's, from a Satisfied paying customer.

Pizza was really good! I got the gourmet pepperoni and really liked the sweet sauce. Also got the garlic bread but it was just average. I would definitely go back to get the pizza.

Some of the best pizza in town!

Great mom n pop pizza spot- akin to what Donatos used to be at a much better price. Check out their tasty lasagna and meatball sub as well.

We…read morespent over $80 on a to-go order that included two Gina's Gem, a big cheese pizza, and a salad. The pizza arrived cold but was still edible. Unfortunately, the Gina's Gem was nothing like what was advertised. I was expecting warm, crusty bread with a roasted cheese dip on the side so you could tear pieces of bread and dip them into the cheese. Instead, the cheese had already been spread directly onto the bread and toasted together. Because of that, the bread lost the texture you would expect--it wasn't crusty or dippable at all. It ended up soft, almost soggy, and the cheese was baked onto the bread rather than being a dip. The whole appeal of the dish was supposed to be the warm bread with the roasted cheese to dip into, and that part was completely missing. Included with the bread was a hot honey that missed the mark on being "hot" and some kind of jam. These options just made everything even more soft....which should have been impossible. The salad was actually the best part of the meal - even though it was a bit spicy. I've always had good experiences here in the past, so this was a big letdown--especially for the price. I just wish the to-go version of the dish matched how it's described, or that expectations were set correctly when ordering. Unfortunately, this experience made me lose all trust in ordering from here again. I can't believe we waited until exactly 3pm (when they opened) to order this.... At the very least the pizza should have been hot.

The sandwich was honestly the highlight of the meal. It was delicious, and the pizza dough as the bread was such a unique touch that you really don't find at many Italian sandwich spots around Columbus. The pizza itself was just okay. As you can see from the picture, the toppings weren't distributed very evenly, so some slices had mostly sauce with barely any cheese while others had way more toppings and cheese but less sauce. I also wish the pizza had been cooked a little longer overall because it was pretty floppy and doughy. One thing that makes it tough is that once the movie starts, it's hard to go back and ask for changes or anything since the theater is packed and getting in and out of the seats feels disruptive. We'll definitely be back to Grandview Theater because we love the experience overall, but next time I'll probably stick to the sandwiches and popcorn and skip the pizza.

The kind of spot where you expect a solid beer and maybe some decent bar food. What you don't expect? One of the best Detroit-style pizzas of your life hiding behind a window in the back like some carb-based speakeasy. And when I say hidden, I mean hidden. No flashy signage. No "best pizza in town" ego. Just a quiet little window cranking out square pies that deserve a standing ovation. I ordered the classic red top -- already a bold move -- and added pesto because balance matters and I like to live a little. The result? Beyond reproach. Fresh, loaded toppings. Sauce with depth. And that crust... that beautiful Detroit crust. Crispy edges with that caramelized cheese halo, but still chewy and pillowy inside. The textural contrast is what separates amateurs from legends -- and this? This was legend-level execution. Easily top 3 Detroit-style pizzas I've had. And that's not a casual statement. This, Oval, Catfish Biff's, Ohio State, Tommy's, and I'm sure there were many more. We tried them all. Oval and Ohio State stick in the memory as not great. I liked Tommy's, but couldn't afford to go there (so had visiting family pay...) Don't remember anything about Adriatico's. But it turns out it opened towards the end of my days here, or maybe it was on the higher end price wise, so we didn't go often. Had time and was in the neighborhood so I came here. Not busy at one on a weekday. But, a steady stream. Service was excellent. The place is dark and warm and cozy. I wasn't in the mood for a sub and didn't see much love for it amongst the reviews. It happened to be Wednesday, Wings Wednesday, so I got 10 spicy garlic wings. And I got a personal pizza. They only do the thin crust with that. I got pepperoni and sausage, which seemed to be favorites. And the pepperoni and sausage were indeed very good. As was the pizza, although they advertise themselves as New York style and the crust was far too thick for that. It says thin crust, but maybe the extra thin is their New York? Didn't have a choice on a personal anyway. But the crust was good, the cheese was excellent. And had a great pull, which I should've taken a picture of since "cheese pull" seems to be trending right now. The sauce was good. And the meats were excellent. Large, thin pepperonis, perfectly cooked chunks of sausage. Arranged nicely on the pizza. They've clearly done this before. I polished it off. The wings were good, not great. They are big and meaty, and the sauce was good and just a touch spicy. But they weren't anything amazing. Definitely good enough if I were still a student. And reasonably priced. I would definitely come back for pizza, and maybe to try a sub. Parking can be rough, but wasn't bad on a weekday when school was in session. A certifiable, and well deserved, local classic.
